I have been a continuous Zooplus customer since 2023. I am leaving this review strictly to present two objective aspects of my experience with the platform, so that other consumers can stay informed:
1. Modification of recurring subscription products and the state of online history
The products in my recurring subscription were replaced with a variant that contains a different composition from what I considered to have routinely ordered. I hold 12 saved invoices starting from October 2nd, 2024, which prove the continuity of this recurring order. Technically, within the customer account, the package photos in the order history no longer load any images at this moment. If I access the link of a past order, the system redirects me exclusively to the product page showing its new presentation, rather than the visual specifications from the time of purchase.
When contacted in writing, Customer Service officially claims that the product (Rocco Chings Steak Style Duck Economy Pack) has always contained fish in its composition, since its launch, and that this is not a recent recipe change. However, due to the technical redirections on the website and the lack of images in the account history, a customer no longer has the possibility to visually verify the exact specifications of the variants ordered in previous years, becoming entirely dependent on their personal archive of invoices.
2. Conditioned donations of loyalty points
I have accumulated zooPoints over these years and wished to donate them to a shelter for homeless animals. According to the official regulations, this action is strictly conditioned by an active commercial transaction. Points cannot be donated independently; they can only be transferred if they are added to the shopping cart during a new, paid purchase. If you do not place a new paid order, the accumulated points cannot be transferred to charities.
I highly recommend that loyal customers check their invoice attachments directly in their email to keep a record of the text specifications of past products, as the website interface only updates to reflect the current offer.

Every single time I’ve ordered from Zooplus, the delivery has been late. Not once or twice — every single time. On my last order I waited over 10 days, with zero notification. No email, no SMS, nothing. Just complete silence.
This is especially problematic because I ordered special dietary food for a very sick cat. This wasn’t toys or litter — it was essential medical nutrition needed to maintain her strict diet and keep her fed properly. When orders are delayed this long, you’re forced to improvise, run around for emergency alternatives, and deal with unnecessary stress — while your pet’s health is put at risk.
What frustrated me the most is the total lack of communication and respect for customers. No one bothered to inform me about stock issues or delivery problems. You simply place the order and then wait… and wait… and wait.
I do not recommend Zooplus at all, especially if you have a pet with special needs or if you rely on timely deliveries. There are other online pet stores that may be slightly more expensive but actually deliver on time and communicate honestly. It’s worth paying a bit more to avoid this level of stress and uncertainty.
Zooplus — a consistently disappointing experience from start to finish. Avoid them!

Da, au preturi mari. Foarte mari. Dar cand am comandat intotdeauna am primit, si intotdeauna daca a fost vreo nemultumire, s-a rezolvat. Nu am ce sa reprosez decat preturile.
Am primit comanda de hrană Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome Pui pentru pisici într-o stare inacceptabilă: sacul de 3 kg a ajuns tăiat și deschis, iar aerul a intrat în el, ceea ce îl face nesigur pentru consum.
Cutia de carton era intactă, dar sacul a fost îndoit în două ca să încapă, lucru care poate cauza deteriorarea ambalajului.
Tăietura este dreaptă și curată, indicând că problema s-a produs probabil în depozit.
În cutie erau și două produse mai mici, plasate dedesubtul sacului mare, care au ajuns botite, deși ar fi trebuit puse alături.
Este inacceptabil ca o hrană medicală și scumpă să ajungă în acest mod. Cer înlocuirea produsului cu unul sigilat sau rambursarea contravalorii și o verificare mai atentă a ambalării pentru viitor.
Innacteptabil sa faci o comanda pe 2 ian 2026 si nici pe data de 10 ian 2026 sa nu ti fie livrata fffffffffff prost zooplus.ro pe zooplus.es asa ceva nu se intampla si mai presus de toate foarte putine reduceri si puncte sau oferte nici o steluta nu meritati o sa va reclam la zooplus Germania nu este pt prima data cand mi se intampla ,animalutele nu stiu de pasivitatea voastra zooplus.ro......
Am primit azi, 8.01.2026 cand in Bucuresti ninge, un transport de hrana uscata intr-o cutie de carton rupta cu mai multe pungi inghetate. Am sunat pentru a intreba daca aceste produse 16kg de hrana uscata isi pot pastra calitatile si se pot folosi si peste 2 saptamani si de aici operatoarele au inceput o intreaga ancheta. Sa trimit poze cu cutia rupta, sa desfac eu o punga si sa trimit o poza, sa vad daca erau si alte benzi, desene pe cutie etc. Le-am explicat ca vreau raspunsul la intrebarea referitoare la calitatile produselor in conditiile in care au fost inghetate si mi-au spus ca nu au cum sa ma ...ajute. Adica sa ma ajute pe banii mei si pe nepasarea lor. Mentionez ca sunt clienta vechi si pana azi consideram zooplus o firma serioasa cu angajati profesionisti. Din pacate lucrurile s-au schimbat si nu in bine.
Am avut o experiență extrem de neplăcută cu Zooplus.ro. După ce am cumpărat produsul Grizzly Serrano oase cu șuncă, câinii mei au ajuns de urgență la veterinar: au vomitat, au avut scaun cu sânge și au fost în pericol real. Am încercat să las un review pentru a-i avertiza și pe alți clienți, însă Zooplus l-a respins, cerând detalii imposibil de furnizat după aruncarea ambalajului (cod lot, data expirării, poze).
Modul în care au tratat situația a fost dezamăgitor și lipsit de responsabilitate. Din păcate, și-au pierdut un client.
De doua ori am dat comanda si s-a întâmplat acelasi lucru: pachetul se pierde undeva pe drum, si pana nu dau mai multe email-uri in care ma plang despre situatie, nu se intampla nimic.
I order from zooplus.ro for more than 10 years now. A few times monthly. For dogs and cats, vet food, normal super premium food, kibbles and wet food, large quantities. They had a problem with dispatching/shipping about a year back but they fixed it. They are not perfect, but they are by far the best choice still for large quantity ordering, even for veterinary diets. I do file complaints now and then and they are sorted promptly. Service used to be better when they had less customers though. And I am still hoping they can fix their recurrent ordering pattern - people do not get their salaries every 4 or 5 weeks, but every month.
Delivery was super unprofessional.
The courier left my pack of 15kg to one of my neighbors, which lives a few hundred meters from my home
So I had to carry it by myself because he couldn't call, or ask, he just wanted to get rid of it fast.
I will think twice before placing an order

Very low quality for recommended products. I ordered Animonda GrandCarno 400g from their site and all of them arrived with popped lid ( like air was present inside the can) . I don;t recommend this site anymore - they are interested only in profit not quality.
DO NOT USE ZOOPLUS RELAX, it's a trap! If your product happens to disappear from stock, they collect your money diligently, but you get... nothing! Not a call, or a message, or instant reimbursement, as they collected your money instantly? Haha... trying to get your STOLEN money back? Well, not so fast! When they take your money for nothing, they do it instantly (at night, just like genuine thieves), however, when they have to give it back, it takes up to 10 working days. That is two full weeks. In 2025, when most banks have agreements of instant interbank payment, Zooplus blames it on the banks! Yeah, right. The same bank that cashed in your money instantly, supposedly takes up to 10 working days to pay you back. BS. Do not buy from this shop. They will steal your money.
I ordered and PAID on their website, they cancelled the order without notifying me, the reason being that the postal code was incorrect. That is exactly BS, as they had previously sent an order at the same address. And they have the nerve to send me the link to the national postal service, where, if you actually pasted the postal code, you would have gotten the exact correct address. I'm now waiting for my reimbursement.

We wanted to return some products because we took the wrong size and a nice lady told us that we will get our money back but we DO NOT have to return the products but to donate them ... which we already did !!! RESPECT ZOOPLUS
