I bought a new Zipper X5 automatic mobility scooter online via Nitrotek at the end of April 2026. On arrival I took it out of the box and after unfolding it with the battery, and using it on the same day the fob and button wouldn’t refold the scooter. I reported it that day but had to wait over a month for Nitrotek to arrange an engineer from Emmiera to come and fit a new receiver. The engineer turned up and fitted the new receiver but it would only unfold and fold using the button at the back, the fob wouldn’t operate it. Not good for someone with back issues. I contacted Nitrotek to collect it and refund me as per consumer 2015 rights and they duly refunded me. I did find corresponding with Nitrotek a chore as they flipped me between Nitrotek email and Zipper email addresses for some reason? I did think initially it was a bot replying to my emails.

It made me think that even if the repair was successful on the automatic folding scooter, how long before the same fault happened again? The valuable lesson I learnt from visiting my local mobility scooter shop was that a manual opening scooter would lessen that issue, or at least an automatic one with a manual alternative fitted would have been a better option. I have been refunded in full for which I am grateful.

Easy website to navigate, bought folding scooter for my husband. Delivered quickly, only used scooter once so far but he is very happy with the scooter & delivery.

Super fast delivery easy set up and been using and it's nice easy to use. I'm very very happy with the scooter. I would highly recommend zipper mobility value for money. My friend couldn't believe the price she paid double for her husband's and it dont electricly fold up.

On speaking to their advisor over the phone regarding after sales care services available i had no hesitation in purchasing one of their mobility scooters which was a very competitive price and the free delivery was very quick all in all a very good experience

Terrible service, have had no communication. Have paid for the item and still yet to receive it. It’s been 2 weeks today since the order was played. I’ve been ignored feel as if I’m being scammed do not recommend. I have emailed and tried to phone the company and have not been able to get through. REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

We looked at several before we chose the Zipper mobility scooter.We liked able to contact company it was UK Based. Parts and repairs were avaialable in uk. Delivery through DPD was good man bought it part in house and delivery was within two days despite late order on the day we ordered. Downfall there wad a tiny scratch
But.not bothered as i would still give. 99 out of a 100

I had a very positive experience here.
I ordered my scooter online on their website ,beofre that I called to check few things and was answered,then placed order. The scooter arived as said ,in a large box.
There were instructions and cables ,showving how to start ,aldo easy.and then it was ready to charge and drive.I been driving it few days now and its super

The only problem was that I had to contact nitrotek not zipper mobility to answer questions about the scooter.
Even though it was just emailing they answered very quickly. The manual is not detailed enough.

The buying process was very easy and was del within 2 days ( free ) quite easy to put together, would have been handy to have had an allen key with the scooter . U tube explanation video was very good .
