Bad app. Plays into unscientific fear mongering. They proud themselves to follow scientific standards and expert panel advice. However, they randomly „overrule“ the same experts who’s advice they claim to follow, because they think that one publication they found erases the other 100 publications that couldn’t validate a claim. They have ZERO scientific integrity. They don’t follow necessary ethics or scientific procedures. Remember: their business is fear mongering. The more afraid you are the more money they make. I run a personal care brand and their system for cosmetic products can be easily gamed. We reduced transparency on ingredients, scrapped voluntary disclosure statements and got rewarded with a higher score. This is Yuka!

Dommage, mais comment peut-on être sûr de l’impartialité d’une entreprise qui a sombré dans le wokisme?

Honestly most of the bad reviews must be coming from product companies with bad ratings.
Subscription is a choice, you choose the amount.
Information is worth everything, most product already have a rating and it’s honestly eye opening. I changed a lot of my grocery routine since I downloaded the app.

Ho notato per la seconda volta DI SEGUITO che, se scannerizzo un prodotto, ho un punteggio. Se magari vi fotografo gli ingredienti dello STESSO PRODOTTO, la valutazione cambia O mantenendo gli stessi ingredienti, O aggiornando gli ingredienti!!! A questo punto devo ogni volta "controllare" in questo modo la vostra affidabilità se, fotografando gli ingredienti, mi date un risultato diverso? Se non posso più basarmi solo sui codici a barre, a questo punto la vostra app non serve più a niente dandomi le informazioni sbagliate! Questa scoperta recente mi ha MOLTO deluso, perché ha provato che i vostri rating sono totalmente inaffidabili, e che quindi la semplice scansione dei codici a barre non serve assolutamente a nulla!! Sono convinto che se RIPROVO a fotografare gli ingredienti di un terzo prodotto, mi uscirà SICURAMENTE un'altra valutazione diversa dalla sua scansione!!

Hasta hace poco tenía una confianza ciega en sus opiniones cada vez que iba al supermercado.
Mi confianza se vino abajo cuando ayer fuí a comprar una mantequilla que tanto la OCU como otras entidades valoraban como "unica opción".
Pasé el escaner de yuka y me dió "mediocre"
¡Da que pensar!, una equivocación no es.
La mantequilla se llama ÚNICLA y es magnífica.
Me duele el daño que Yuka pueda estar haciendo a esta y otras empresas que dignamente compiten en el mercado con calidad y han sido señaladas dedo "malicioso" de Yuka.

Großartiges und vor allem mutiges Projekt. Ich fordere alle Abbonierer dazu auf , vorausschauend Premium Mitglied für 10 € im Jahr zu werden . Wenn diese App wächst ist es durchaus vorstellbar , dass den Yuka Gründern , die Lebensmittel Industrie auf den Leib rückt . Dazu braucht Yuka Rücklagen für sehr gute Rechtsanwälte. Ein Freund hat mich auf Yuka aufmerksam gemacht .Wir haben erst einmal gründlich ausgemistet und waren geschockt von den Inhaltsstoffen . Selbst Anbieter die Produkte als außergewöhnlich gut in ihrer Werbung bezeichnen , indem sie aufzählen was nicht in den Produkten enthalten , vergessen einfach genau so deutlich sichtbar zu machen, was in ihren Produkten enthalten ist .Genau das zeigt Yuka . Danke an die Entwickler und das Team von Yuka, vor allem für den Mut den so ein Projekt braucht .

The reason Yuka is great for me is I have to monitor and research food before I eat because I have Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3a and I have changed my diet to slow down the decline of my kidneys there is no cure. I still determine what I eat and 80% of my food is out of my garden. The rest I need to buy. It's so overwhelming getting it right but detrimental if you get it wrong. Anyway I use various resources to educate myself. But this helps in supermarkets eg I like Peanut Butter but not all are the same , the same with bread. So after checking labels I pick 3 that I'd probably buy then I scanned them and one that I felt I wouldn't probably buy came out on to as 90% on top. The others had additives I did not know of. The bread that came out on top was very expensive bit it's more expensive to be sick. I also sometimes test out cosmetics and beauty products etc and I have changed many of the products I used to buy that go on my skin. I'm wanting to live as healthy as I can and this tool makes it a little easier to pick a better product out of three I think are fantastic. If they all come out with a poor rating, I walk away. Sometimes they give a recommendation if there is one.

The biggest positive is how user friendly this app is. I’ve had very few issues with an item not being scanned.
I really loved the app at first, especially for checking cosmetics. However, I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in the ratings and it makes me wonder just how much I can trust the information this app provides. For example, a bag of Naked granola was rated “excellent” but has 15 g of sugar per serving! There’s also other products rated “excellent,” but contain seed oils or MSG. The sardines I buy from wild planet in extra-virgin olive oil, high in omega’s and protein, but low in sodium were rated “good.” With so many positives, I was expecting them to be excellent…in my opinion, they are and I still eat them regularly. It would be wonderful to scan food and get an accurate reading, but I don’t think it’s possible with this app so I’ve decided to delete it, and go on the knowledge I’ve accumulated by educating myself about additives, unhealthy sugars, and seed oils.

Having used this app for a few months I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that it is misleading and potentially dangerous. A product scan will immediately produce some factual information but it is accompanied by misleading and highly judgemental comments. Comments like ‘Bad’ ‘poor’ are subjective and anecdotal and they provide no empirical basis for such opinionated assertions. Bad for whom and in what context are they poor?

They appear to be obsessed with carbs in general and sugar in particular where almost invariably anything containing them is damned as ‘too caloric’ (by which I think they mean calorific). There are so many variables around calorie consumption that such a comment is perverse and meaningless. For example,I was amazed when the verdict that organic jumbo oats was condemned as too ‘caloric.’ The app has no way of knowing the other food an individual has eaten so they would only be ‘too caloric’ if the daily intake of calories had been exceeded elsewhere. In addition, the comment takes no account of the quantity giving rise to such a value judgement. For example is 5 grams or 200 grams ‘too caloric.’ There is no way of knowing from the app so the comment is meaningless.

In view of this, due to the superficiality of the comments, in my view they are potentially dangerous. If, for example, someone with an eating disorder were to read the unsubstantiated comments about calorific value, it could potentially lead to a conviction that otherwise healthy food is to be avoided. I tried to put myself in the shoes of someone who had eating issues and found that were I to take the app at face value, I would only be eating fruit and vegetables.

Innanzitutto per scansionare ti chiede un abbonamento quindi non e del tutto gratuita,minimo 10 euro ok,ma poi non funziona nemmeno , pessima

Attention, l'application vous abonne sans votre autorisation!! ils font un prélèvement pour un abonnement d'une année sans rien demander! et vous facture 15frs! prélèvement automatique via Apple.

Ero molto entusiasta di questa app e mi affidavo a lei per tutti i miei aqusti ma poi mi ha deluso. In particolare mi ha dato punteggio eccellente con 90/100 a delle mandorle provenienti dalla California,famosa per utilizzare una coltura intensiva di mandorle e pesticidi altamente cancerogeni per l'uomo. L'app nella sua analisi non tiene conto di questo aspetto.dovrebbe rilevare anche la presenza di pesticidi

This app is immensely useful, allowing me to find out the contents of packaged foods. Yuka reads the bar code on packaging and provides a list of the contents, including additives. It makes clear which additives are harmful to health. I use the Yuka app whenever I go shopping for food, cosmetics, toothpaste.

Used to use and love app! But when the rating for Simple Truth organic tart cherry juice was rated 100/100 a month ago and I then drank it every evening before going to bed. Now the same juice is rated “poor” 49/100. I feel I have been scam about thinking I was drinking something healthy. I am returning my 5 jars tomorrow. 😡

I tried it and it was actually really good Its easy to use but it only scans skincare,food and some more 4 stars

I used to rely on this app for everything, but unfortunately, they do not fact check the information that’s provided to them about each product, they rely solely on the manufacturers label even if it’s inaccurate or misleading. I would be very careful in the future using this app until they base their approval on actual facts.

Comment une glace à la vanille sans oeufs (base de la crème anglaise qui est la base de la glace à la vanille...) peut-elle être considérée comme la meilleure du marché? Avez-vous une seule fois goûté et surtout préparé une glace à la vanille ? Je viens pour "une seule fois" d'acheter un produit industriel quand même (!) sans vérifier sa composition auparavant ( poudre , fécule et poudre)pour réaliser un dessert très raffiné de Gilles Marchal (!) Scandaleux.

Credo di aver installato Yuka quando ancora chiedeva ai frequentatori dell'app di scansionare i codici a barre che non erano ancora tutti verificati per allargare il database.
Dallo scorso anno sono diventato sostenitore volontariamente perché il valore dietro il servizio offerto, merita il sostegno dei consumatori.
Grazie di esistere, continuate così io ci sarò.

Buonissima app dove verificare in modo semplice la qualità e efficacia dei prodotti alimentari e cosmetici! Se sono salutari! La consiglio quando andate al supermercato!
