Turning Moments into Masterpieces, One Child at a Time At Wyrd Story, we create personalized art history books that transform a single photo of your child or grandchild into 14 stunning museum-style portraits. Each book pairs your little one with the world's greatest masterpieces—from the Mona Lisa to Starry Night—creating a timeless keepsake that families treasure for generations. The Story Behind Wyrd Story I'm David, the founder, and I started Wyrd Story because I saw a gap in the world of meaningful gifts. Grandparents told me they were tired of giving toys that would be forgotten in weeks. Parents wanted something educational that didn't involve a screen. Everyone was searching for that one gift that would actually matter. That's when I combined my love of art history with modern technology to create something truly special: a personalized journey through the masters, where your child becomes part of art history itself. What Makes Us Different Unlike fully automated services, every Wyrd Story book is handcrafted with care. I personally review and perfect each portrait to ensure your child's unique likeness shines through. If a detail isn't quite right—whether it's the eyes, the smile, or the overall expression—I fix it by hand. It has to be perfect, or we start over. That's my promise to you. We only need one photo. In about a minute, you'll have created something that will be passed around at family gatherings, lingered over by guests, and cherished as the child grows up. More Than Just a Book Parents and grandparents tell us the same thing: "It was the hit of the day." "Everyone kept passing it around." "My son said his heart stopped when he saw it." These aren't just reviews—they're the moments that make what we do meaningful. When a child opens their book and gasps, "That's ME!"—that's the magic we're after. Wyrd Story isn't a toy that gets tossed aside. It's a museum-quality heirloom that introduces children to fine art while celebrating their own unique personality. It's the anti-toy—a legacy piece that connects generations and creates memories that last a lifetime. Our Commitment to You Every book is printed on premium materials, bound with care, and shipped with the attention to detail you'd expect from something meant to last decades. We stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee, because your trust means everything to us. Thank you for considering Wyrd Story for your family. It truly means more than you know. — David Founder, Wyrd Story

Robin — thank you for the kind words. I'm really glad the print exceeded your expectations. One of my favorite parts of working on these books is imagining families looking through them years from now, so hearing that you're planning to make more for your grandchildren means a lot. I hope each one becomes a little keepsake for them.

And I love that idea. I've done a number of senior books. Some of the most meaningful books come from photos that carry a bit of family history with them. A grandmother portrait could make for something truly special.
If you ever decide to try it, feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to help make it work beautifully.
High Quality Keepsake
I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with this company's founder & creator. David is so wonderful to work with and the final product - a beautiful coffeetable-like book of our grandson is stunning. David even customized our book further, by creating a selection from our family's famous local artist's work. We love our "Museum of Sebastian" book. It's not only beautiful but also an already treasured family keepsake.

Suzen,
This was such a joy to create — thank you. I loved incorporating your family’s local artist into Sebastian’s book to make it even more personal.
Knowing it’s already a treasured keepsake means everything to me.

David
A Treasure and a Pleasure
The book arrived on time today. It is a work of art the way it is laid out and is so visually pleasing in every way.
David was so kind and patient to work with, as he sent me many samples of art to choose just the right paintings for my granddaughter's book. I also sent him some history of what her interests were and he captured her spot on!
Although, she is much older than the targeted audience his musuem books are marketed toward, this more mature book came out perfectly for my 18 year old granddaughter.
Do not hesitate to purchase a book for your child/grandchild. It will make you smile and maybe cry.
Much appreciation, David. I just love the museum book.

A wonderful and unique gift for my grandchildren
These books were a huge hit with my grandchildren (ages 2 through 6) and their parents! the kids were so excited to see themselves in their own books. They were laughing and wow'ing at each page. I was thrilled to see their reactions and happy to bring art to their fingertips.
Even the 2 year old loved it and he still loves looking through the book, months later.
