I am very disappointed in the candles I have purchased recently. I have enjoyed Yankee candles for many years. My recent purchases have been a disappointment. The scent from the candles is very weak- discernible only if standing right next to the candle. Their scent used to fill the house and one could smell the wonderful fragrance upon entering. I will find another company for candles.

Too much wax is wasted . There should be a way to burn the entire candle with no wax left in the jar

I placed an order with them in January. I ordered 5 candles. The order was submitted and the funds were taken from my account. A few minutes later I received an email from Yankee Candle stating 4 of the 5 candles were out of stock. I called them immediately, to be told they cannot stop the order from being processed! So I was charged £2.45 to have ONE candle delivered.
Since then, I have received continuous emails from Yankee Candle asking me to review my purchase. Eventually I did just that last night, writing of my genuine experience with Yankee Candle. Today I am notified by Yankee Candle that my review has been moderated as it 'did not meet all our website guidelines'! Lost for words! I provided a review of my poor experience and Yankee Candle refuse to publish it. Perhaps you should take a serious look at your company ethics here, just look at all the complaints.
Truly the worst customer service and then they want to hide it from the general public.

Ordered 2 items but got told that 1 item was not available so told them to cancel whole order.
Told that I should refuse the order at the door as it has already shipped; UPS turned up and I duly rejected the order. To date I have not had a refund.
Is this a scam site. Wish I had checked Trustpilot prior to engagement. Stay well away !! Countless emails and still no money back.

I returned a shipment I received over a month ago. I have received no refund no credit and I have wasted hours and hours on the phone with Customer service. They are LIARS. I have tracking proof I sent it back and they said they never received it but will still issue a refund in 3 to 5 business days. It’s now been 2 weeks. No refund. They lost my business I will NEVER buy from them again

I ordered an item on Feb. 3rd and was supposed to be delivered by Feb. 14th with standard delivery. I had received no shipping info or updates on things since placing the order. Given that, I contacted the company on Feb. 9th and the order still had not been shipped out. Following my inquiry, the order was finally shipped the next day but has little chance of making it to the rural area by the 14th.

The service I received was horrendous! I placed an order in January and didn't receive it by February 2nd as promised. I allowed a few extra days only to be told it was returned 'Return to Sender'
They had not contacted me to advise the order had come back to them or refunded the monies to my card. The onus was entirely on me to chase up something I had paid for in good faith. I am disgusted at the poor customer service.

If this is an example of the emphasis they place on treating their customer's as a priority then I am not willing to support this company by buying their product!

Ware brannte bis zur Hälfte ab! Danach rußte sie nur noch.
Ich sollte bolder einsenden, woraufhin man angab, dass das Problem am Docht liegen würde. Den habe ich bereits im Vorfeld gekürzt!
Fazit: mangelhaftes Produkt wird nicht erstattet und die Begründung ist an den Haaren herbeigezogen! Würde gerne 0 Sterne vergeben....

Terrible horrendous service. I placed an order yesterday online. I received an email from them informing me that they were trying to reach me with regards to my order. The email further said that if I don’t contact them within the next 72 hours they will cancel my order

I have been in the phone on hold mind u for four hours but not a soul answered the call

I will be furious should they decide to cancel my order

Long time yankee candle fan, made the annual trip to Deerfield before the holidays and bought 7 large jar candles. 3 out of the 7 have little to no fragrance. Terrible quality control bath and body works candles are much more fragrant for less money. Ill still go to Deerfield, it’s a great shopping experience but not buying yankee candles anymore.

Purchase date: Jan. 25, 2021: Yankee Candle engages in deceptive practices. They make it seem as if you're going to get something like a gift card for candles if you complete their survey. When you go to complete it, you then realize it is not gift cards you will be getting but the "free" magazines they offer. This time I decided to select some magazines. Afterwards, I find that the "free" magazines are not free and that we are being charged $8 for it. There is no way to know this prior to submitting the survey. This is a big part of their deception. To make it worse, instead of us having the option of purchasing a subscription after the "free" trial is done, they force customers to put their credit card information so that when the time comes (most won't remember 4 different subscriptions), the subscriptions automatically renew.

This is NOT how you should encourage customers to do surveys. It is lying, and for us to support your business, we deserve better than that.

Brilliant service and price automatically adjusted for a candle that was out of stock. Quick delivery with updates. I spoke to a lady called Hanna who gave excellent customer service, a credit to the company. Would highly recommend.

I placed an order of 8 candles online, candles and shipping fee came to $144. I received 4 candles and was charged $109 Canadian plus $21 taxes and border fees, when i called to check what is happening i was told the rest of the order is in warehouse and it will be shipped separately so basically another $109 + $21. So 8 candles would come to $260 Canadian. I ended up canceling the rest of the order hopefully as this company is known for sending the order after you cancel.I am not ok with paying that much for candles from US when i can buy 16 in Canada for same money, i placed 1 order so i would pay 1 shipping fee and i was not aware of any other fees, i wont be ordering from Yankee Candle ever again and i will make sure all my friends know this as much as i love these candles they do rip you off and overcharge for it.

I placed an order worth 76 euros on December 13th, and on the 18th an email was sent claiming that they had to cancel all orders, blaming it on the courier (mind you that five days later I placed an order on another website that also used ups and it was delivered 5 days earlier than expected) and saying that they couldn't have sent the orders in time for Christmas (which I personally didn't even care about). On the 24th I still had not received a refund and sent a query, followed by a tweet a few days later because I had received no reply. After a two days and three hour wait I called customer service and, although the person I called was kind, he wasn't of great help to my cause. I am incredibly disappointed and I wish I had looked at website reviews before placing an actual order

Fatti due ordini il 12 dicembre, il 18 arriva la mail che il mio pacco è stato spedito... il 21 arriva la mail con l’annullamento degli ordini e adesso non ho più i regali che avevo ordinato a due giorni da Natale!!!!

Pessima esperienza di shopping natalizio! Ordinate tre candele il 05/12, le hanno spedite il 16/12! Ora al numero di tracking si visualizza una spedizione non mia e quando ho chiamato per chiedere info mi hanno detto che non garantiscono consegna per Natale. N.B.: al momento dell’ordine mi davano una consegna in 5-7 giorni lavorativi!!

So you have now decided to send out an order I asked you to cancel! And to top it off you charge me for delivery even though I originally spent over the required amount to get free delivery. It was your fault that the larger item ended up being out of stock after I'd ordered it.
I do not want this order. This has been an absolute shambles dealing with this amateur company.
Either refund the delivery charges immediately or I will refuse the delivery and you will end up paying for it's return.
I await your response, although I expect it to be a generic excuse!

The customer service via chat and phone are terrible. I have been a customer for the last 15 years. I will never purchase from them again. I ordered two personalized candles on December 10th by December 16th they still had not shipped so I reached out to chat to find out why it hasn't shipped and if I were to cancel my order and go to a store if I could get it quicker it was a very important order for my family this year one of the candles was for my mother who lost her husband September 1st and the other one was for my best friend who lost her baby 2 weeks ago instead of giving me the answer of when my product would ship or even the answer of if it would be faster to go to a store the chat representative closed our chat and went ahead and canceled my order I called the 1-800 number I did get through to an associate but them too hung up on me without answering my questions I leave Google reviews frequently I have over 10,000 views and I plan to leave a Google review for Yankee as well I will make sure that all of my friends and family no longer shop from a Yankee candle.com or purchase any of their products elsewhere thank you Yankee for ruining my holiday season
