A disappointing and stressful experience
We purchased engineered wood on a supply only basis to be fitted by our own fitter. We selected two types of wood for different areas based on samples from the Guildford shop.
When the wood arrived, the more expensive of the two types had surface damage that was not seen on the sample, including some deep pits and gouges. When we complained about this, initially they seemed to accept that there was a problem but very quickly backtracked and told us that as this was a "distressed" product, this was normal, and the wood was indeed "perfect". They then refused to engage in a meaningful way about the problem.
Only by very careful cutting was our fitter able to avoid using the worst affected parts. The whole experience was stressful and unpleasant and I certainly cannot recommend this supplier.
