10 reason to not use wingspan.
Pls pls if your reading this do not use this bank they are the worst and really should go out of business. Nothing ever instant they take money every time I get paid for no reason at all they can't explain anything. And they hold your money allday long preventing you from do stuff even important stuff. If your the owner of this app then you should be banned from making apps this is horrible by far the worst app on the planet.

I’m extremely satisfied with Wingspan and their user interface. Wingspan offers a seamless direct deposit setup where you can connect a checking/savings account directly through your mobile banking app and also offers a variety of payment options like instant payout, standard, and their own payout service. I would highly recommend wingspan to any of my colleagues or friends looking for a friendly experience.

Let me tell you about my great experiences with Wingspan so far upon my signing up I ran into some kind of mixup where I was kicked out before completing the signup. I immediately emailed customer service about not completing signup, they researched found out it was a password issue. They sent me a reset password link and I was able to recover where I left off and complete my signup/account. This matter was resolved/recovered in less than a couple hours, this made me feel heard, valued, and important. I was able to move easily through the process and go on about my day. You can’t go wrong with Wingspan they work with you go ahead and signup.

Old dog/New trick
At 60 years old, and my first effort to have more flexibility in a job. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous with trying to navigate invoices and taxes. Wingspan has made it easy to keep track of which invoices are coming due, overdue, and is specific about which ones are paid. All I have to do is check them off my own list and file them away. I also like how it gives me a heads up on an incoming payment (sometimes I get sidetracked). Thank you for helping this 'old dog' manage a new trick!

This is my first time using Wingspan. It's my payment method for this contract job I have. I'm new to setting up invoices, but I notice Wingspan sends me emails letting me know that my payments are on the way. I have a bit to learn, but I think I'm at a good start with the program.

I did a C&P for my Direct Deposit info…
I did a C&P for my Direct Deposit info for payment being a contractor the company uses wingspan, I checked my invoice and saw the last 4 of account number was wrong? Now I have worked with banks on how this process goes so I made contact with my bank and was advised "if it is not a valid account we reject right that minute" So reaching out to notify and update my account info the invoice was still showing the non valid account I was told it COULD take up to 2-4 days now I let it ride waiting until the company sent me an email advising that the payments were returned due to rejection from my bank that said why would wingspand reps go above and beyond to tell me something different????? when I attached the email then here comes the drag "we are waiting for the funds to be fully released"???? wait the email says we received our funds back its 2025 and you mean to tell me that you do have your systems to auto retry the payment? ok so this says all I need to know about this company and the LACK OF EFFORT to pay contractors I see many bad reviews and yall wonder why just run my monies or this can get real TECHNICAL

Across multiple team members and several days, our team sent over 15 detailed messages attempting to explain the process and provide updates. We aim to provide thorough and responsive assistance.
Key Clarifications:
1. Account Information: Wingspan prioritizes security; users directly input and manage their own bank account details in their secure profile. We do not enter or modify this information. The initial payment attempt used the account details as you entered them in your profile, which unfortunately contained a typo. We are glad you were able to update it with the correct information for future payments.
2. Bank Rejection and Fund Return Timeline: When a bank rejects a payout due to incorrect information, such as the typo you entered, the rejection itself might be quick. However, the process for the funds to be returned back through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to our system is subject to standard banking timelines, typically requiring 2-5 business days (excluding weekends). This return period is outside Wingspan's direct control.
3. "Returned" Email Clarification: This email signifies the start of the bank's return process, not its completion. Your feedback is valuable, and we are reviewing this wording to improve clarity.
4. Payment Retry: Our system is designed to automatically re-issue the payment to your updated, correct bank account. However, this can only happen after the funds have fully completed the return journey through the banking system and are credited back to us, following the standard ACH return timeline.
Please be assured that Wingspan is not holding your funds or delaying payment unnecessarily. The current wait time is due to the standard banking protocols for returning funds after a rejection caused by the account information typo you provided. As demonstrated by our multiple interactions and detailed responses, we provided thorough explanations throughout our support engagement.
We are actively monitoring the return process and are committed to ensuring your payment is processed to your correct account as soon as the funds are officially received back by our system.

This company does not have their crap…
This company does not have their crap together! They appear to unless you run into a problem, then getting it fixed is pulling teeth because everyone you contact tells you a different story. I have no choice but to use them as I am self employed with a company who uses them for our payroll. I was with this company before Wingspan came along and can definitely say we never experienced anything like we do with Wingspan.
A couple of months ago, I received an email from Wingspan stating they had overpaid me and would be withholding these funds out of my next check. I immediately disputed this and asked for proof. Two weeks goes by with lots of back and forth emails, missed calls, not connecting and still no proof of this over payment so they proceeded to withhold those funds from my next check. It was around $200 so not a drop in the penny bucket but enough to hurt your pocketbook. Finally after about a month of all the back and forth and time spent on their mistake, I was given the proof that they did indeed overpay me. However, it was still THEIR mistake not mine. Nothing was ever signed stating they could withhold funds out of my checks ex pet for the 2% instant payout fee. FYI, daily pay doesn’t charge the employee a penny for instant pay!!
Fast forward to payday again now and my deposit did not hit my debit card as instant pay that I signed up for. I got an email from Wingspan that my payment was rejected and they would retry this deposit in an hour. I quickly contacted my bank and turn my freeze off on my card. I was under the impression the freeze would only prevent withdrawals not deposits, however, I was wrong. So I await the retrying of my deposit now that it’s unfroze. Three hours later still no instant deposit came. I contacted wingspan and was told to put another backup card on my acct for instant payout so I did. Contacted my bank who said no other transactions had attempted to come through at all. Contacted wingspan who says they tried it four times with rejection times four, flat out lie without proof. No tracking number nothing. Because of this, they then sent my deposit via standard payout not instant payout, but yet they still withheld that 2% instant payout fee?!?! Why???

We saw the issue began when your bank first rejected the instant payout. You contacted us shortly after, and our support team provided an initial human response within 21 minutes to assist. When a bank rejects an instant payout – a decision made solely by the bank and entirely outside of Wingspan's control – our system automatically makes several more attempts (four attempts in total in this case) to rule out temporary network issues. Our records confirm that your bank continued to reject these subsequent attempts.
Because the instant payout could not be completed due to these external bank rejections, our system automatically sent the payment via standard ACH deposit, ensuring you received your funds the next business day. Throughout this process that evening, three different Wingspan team members worked diligently to investigate, provide explanations, and assist you.
Regarding the instant payout fee from this incident, we understand why you asked. While the fee typically applies when the service is initiated, in cases like this where multiple attempts fail due to bank rejection, we always refund this fee as standard practice. We will certainly ensure this refund is processed for you.
We also acknowledge your comments about the previous overpayment recovery mentioned in your review. The agreement governing your payments does include provisions for correcting payment errors, which covers the recovery of funds disbursed mistakenly.
We know payment issues are stressful, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration. We value your business and regret this experience didn't meet your expectations or ours.

I hate wingspan
I hate wingspan. I work for Omni on Turbo Tax project. I haven't been paid in 2 weeks because my payment keeps getting rejected. I've tried all my debit cards and the wingspan wallet and I keep getting payment rejected emails. How do payments get rejected from going into your own system? This seems like a gimmick site. My power is off because of this. I wish I could sue. And of course customer service don't give a damn and keep giving me generic answers. I need my fukin money NOW!!!!

We aimed to be responsive, with many replies sent within minutes. Multiple team members collaborated behind the scenes to find a resolution.
The core difficulty stemmed from repeated failures of the instant payout attempts directed to the debit cards you had on file. It's important to clarify that when we initiate an instant payout, the rejection message comes from the receiving bank linked to the debit card. These rejections can occur for various reasons determined by the bank (such as their own limits on the frequency or dollar amount of instant transfers received within a certain period) – these are factors outside of Wingspan's direct control, and banks typically do not provide us with specific rejection details.
Our system is designed to automatically retry failed instant payouts multiple times to account for temporary network issues. When these continued to fail across the different cards provided, the process required shifting to a standard payout method. Our team guided you through updating your payout preferences and explained the steps needed to ensure the payment could be processed successfully.
We acknowledge this troubleshooting process took several days and involved multiple steps, which understandably added to your frustration. We can confirm that after you updated your payout method settings on April 17th, the payment was successfully processed and deposited into your Wingspan Wallet account that same day.
We sincerely apologize that this process was not as smooth or swift as desired and deeply regret the distress it caused.

Its a non friendly system
I have had bad experiences with this app....I work for one of their companies that they provide payroll for and I havent been able to set up for 2 weeks....I cant reach anyone to help solve the problem...all they do is send me an email to verify and nothing happens...something is definitely wrong, but it seems it cant be figured out. So I have to give them a one star because it has given me a migraine going back and forth and still no solution and no phone number to call to talk to someone who knows anything....its unprofessional and not sufficient....Please improve your customer svc and troubleshooting.

I love the navigation. My only issue was the messages that said 'need action' that I had already fixed and refreshed the page still showed 'needs action' when I opened the invoice. When I click on that it does not direct me if this is still due to something I need to do, or because the invoice is pending and not paid to me yet, or just a glitch in the system of some kind.
