Wickes - Waltham Cross Recenzje 

Ordered a bathroom refit that cost £13,000.00 of our hard earned money. We paid in cash. We used their approved fitter. We have been left with a toilet that is loose from the wall and the flush keeps going and going. The bath is coming away from the wall so showering means water is going under the bath. The cabinet that was fitted sheared off and is now standing on the floor. Bath panel doesn’t fit. When we had paid for everything and our bath was delivered, our fitter told us the panels were not available but the panels they provided would be ok. They’re not. They don’t match and don’t actually fit. Again water from the shower is leaking into the floor. Have complained numerous times to Harriet in customer care. Absolutely useless. Nothing has been sorted. DO NOT USE WICKES or THEIR APPROVED FITTERS. Do your homework avoid these cowboys and use another company. Cannot stress enough how bad our experience has been. Happy to provide pics to prove. Shocking.

Ewelina was absolutely brilliant! She explained everything clearly and patiently answered all my questions, even though I asked quite a lot! She really knows her stuff and explained everything like a professional builder. Wickes will definitely be my first choice for buying building materials from now on. Highly recommend!

£8,800+ kitchen that didn’t fit — extremely poor experience

I purchased a bespoke Wickes kitchen costing over £8,800, using their own free measuring service.

When my fitter arrived, the kitchen couldn’t be installed because Wickes’ measurements were wrong. Units conflicted with doors, the integrated fridge housing was taller than my ceiling, and the wall units would have left only around 5 inches of clearance above the worktop.

The designer eventually confirmed in writing that Wickes had made an error.

Delivery was also problematic. A 10am–2pm delivery arrived at 8am when nobody was home. 117 items were left on my neighbour’s lawn, with a signature on the paperwork that neither I nor my neighbour provided.

When I raised the installation issue, the initial proposed resolution was £200. I was also given unsolicited comments regarding my mental health, which I found completely inappropriate.

Eventually, another store manager took over, confirmed the kitchen could be returned and helped resolve the situation.

Even collection was poorly organised. Despite explaining that it required two people, one person arrived with a small van and I had to help load the kitchen.

My refund was approved on 23 September and was eventually received on 7 October.

Approximately 5½ weeks from delivery to resolution.

The final store manager was helpful, but the overall experience was unacceptable for a purchase of this value.

My advice: check all measurements independently and consider your alternatives before buying a Wickes kitchen.

I won’t be using Wickes again.

I visited the store this week to get some paint brushes and paint for a small DIY project i am doing and i found the staff so helpful. They gave me really good advice and helped me get the right paint for the project i was doing. Everyone seemed really helpful and willing to answer all my questions. Will be my first choice place to shop.

Went there today to buy some paint and as I have a severe pain in my hands I asked one of the staff members if they would be able to able me as I was unable to lift the item, he stoped what he was doing straight and grab the large paint paint for me and waited in the queue as shop was busy and then put in my car. I was very grateful to the young man named Rhys for helping me today. Thank you so much Rhys

Today I went to get a washing machine extension hose ,I could not see it so I asked ewelina ,she had a look on her little stock checker and told us it was on the delivery and we could click and collect, she was very helpful.Well imagine to my surprise ewelina appeared at the checkout with item in hand!This wonderful lady went above and beyond her job ,a lovely lady who was more tham helpful ,she physically went and got it from the delivery and rushed it to the check out before we left.If only all shops had such a wonderful person .Thank you ewelina

Your company needs to talk to each other from the designer to the fitter to the delivery to the complaints procedure.
4 months waiting for a cutlery drawer is terrible. A design fault on Wickes designer fault and then reluctantly agree to a fix of a different design and drawer cannot fit under induction hob when told it could several times.
Sent emails, WhatsApps,voicemails and get sent wrong items. Still have a number of items stacked up in the unfinished kitchen. Asked when they will be collected but nothing. As regards the cutlery drawer been sent pan drawers and all sorts of other items in error.
I don't like sending bad reviews but this is a nightmare. In the last year we have lost all our parents and a step father in the space of 4 months. It's affecting our mental health now as we are back at square one after 4 months with them saying it's not on the original receipt. It won't be as it's a design fault so the original kitchen has changed through no fault of ours.Anyone reading this do not think there is any exaggeration here . On the contrary more should be explained but we are exhausted.

Ewelina is a credit to Wickes Waltham cross, genuinely the most helpful and friendly staff member I have dealt with in any merchants for years. I visited this shop on multiple occasions and received the same level of service each time. Please give her an employee of the month or something!

I am a local plumbing company so I use wickes most days.Carlene at the store is always super helpful and always goes the extra mile to make me feel like a valued customer She is a credit to the store and her team the world could do with more staff like her

Bank holiday weekend was at Wickes Waltham Cross to make an order for delivery, but couldn’t get the door size right and Aricia really help without making any fuss that it was taking a lot of her time but we got there at the end. Thank you Aricia 👍🏻

The sales experience was excellent right up until we signed on the dotted line. Our installer was fantastic and worked incredibly hard throughout the installation.

There was an issue with the original order, as the wrong door was supplied. However, to their credit, the correct door was ordered and installed within two weeks, which we were happy with.

Unfortunately, the customer service experience since then has been very disappointing. Alongside our order, several additional items were delivered to our home by mistake, including a fascia board measuring approximately 3m x 1m. We have now had these items sitting at our property for over six weeks.

We've contacted the Customer Experience team multiple times. We're repeatedly told that they are waiting to hear from the store, or that the store has arranged collection, yet nobody contacts us and nothing happens. Customer Care also seem unable to get hold of the store to resolve the issue.

As customers, we feel unheard and treated like a nuisance rather than someone they are trying to help. After one of the extra parcels was eventually collected (while another was mistakenly delivered), we were told to "just dump it" because it was apparently not financially viable for them to collect and dispose of the remaining items.

We find this quite shocking. These are brand-new products, and simply sending them to landfill feels incredibly wasteful. Some of the remaining boxes are over 3 metres long and require two people to lift them. It's unreasonable to expect customers to transport them to a recycling centre or back to a store themselves.

The aftercare and handling of this issue have left us feeling very let down.

We were very happy with a service received from Tom B from Wickes Waltham Cross. Out of all other kitchen suppliers we dealt with during the project, he was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable. The advice from Tom was always spot on and made a stressful process much easier to manage.
Tom was friendly, professional, and always happy to answer questions and help whenever needed.
