H the store manager was rude and argumentative he spend 20 mins on private calls rather than dealing with customers.

Appalling customer service.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Wickes. I asked staff for help loading laminate into my car because I am pregnant, and the way I was treated was shocking.

I initially approached a lady at the front for assistance. She didn’t even acknowledge me or look up when I spoke to her, so I had to repeat myself. When she finally responded, she simply told me to ask someone else, without making any effort to help.

When I approached other staff members, I was told they weren’t allowed to help load the laminate into my car. I understand that there may be company policies in place, but the complete lack of customer care, courtesy and willingness to find an alternative solution was extremely disappointing.

I was left to deal with heavy laminate while pregnant, despite asking for assistance. I wasn’t expecting special treatment, just basic respect, understanding and a reasonable level of customer service. At the very least, I expected staff to acknowledge me properly and explain the situation politely rather than dismissing me.

For a large retailer like Wickes, this standard of service is unacceptable. If staff are genuinely not permitted to help customers load purchases into their cars, then management needs to consider how customers who are pregnant or have difficulty lifting heavy items are expected to manage.

I left feeling frustrated, ignored and let down. This experience has seriously put me off shopping at Wickes again. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the attitude of staff and the lack of practical support offered to customers.

I had a delivery this morning made by a driver by the name of kimoy what can I say? Unbelievable the only was extremely professional. I am disabled and he went above and beyond to help me beautiful manners so professional very straightforward the way he helped me cover each cement by with plastic bag to make sure they don’t get wet as it is a Garden project. I cannot thank you enough. His customer skills were excellent. I give him five stars and above thank you Wickes for employing someone like him again his name is. Kimoy and he definitely deserves a raise for the hard work he’s putting in. He’s a great service to your company and I believe you should be promoted. Thank you once again. Highly recommend Wickes whoever I have encounter for deliveries have been brilliant and professional.

The manager Rahman and shop assistant Nicole gave a 5 star shop experience in all areas. I was supported by Nicole throughout my shopping visit in which she had great knowledge, willing to help throughout and honestly did not allowed to lift a finger, such a God send.
Rahman was willing to go out of his way to help me with what was needed throughout my experience with both instore and online.
I was a very happy Wicks customer 😊.

I was strugling to find my appropriate product as needed for my buildind work then I found the manager who helped me to select my materials with the mesurement and quantity I needed . It was a great help.

Extra store, which is my local Wickes, I came here for my every house things I needed. Great stuff always helpful only backwards store doesn’t have enough light in the roof.

Awful.. I ordered a pine panel I needed for a job. I recieved an email to tell me my order was ready to collect. Drove up to the store 1.5 hours out of my work day . They said they could not locate it and had no idea where it was. Then told me they would have it next week. Waited. No call. Started calling to find out what was happening as ive now waited 2 weeks . Then get an email to just say order cancelled. No discussion or anything . I could have got it somewhere else instead of waiting 2 week. No wonder these stores are going under. Absolutely no thought for the customer

The store was really busy but they had a lot of people on the tills there has been a massive improvement in this shop now I can get what I want

Don’t bother arranging a call appointment with a designer consultant. They never called us back. We are still waiting…

Because my road is narrow the delivery driver couldn’t get down my road so he couldn’t deliver that day the drivers response was not my problem. I spoke to customer services they didn’t care they passed the buck to the Edmonton store where it came from, they wouldn’t send the delivery out in a smaller van that day they didn’t care at all that they had let me down. They told me it would come Monday, Monday came no delivery no phone call to explain why, yet again I had to phone to find out what was going on they told me Tuesday then changed there minds telling me they couldn’t deliver it as they was unwilling to use a smaller van, the only thing they delivered to me out of my order was 18 bricks costing £12 and even after they messed me around for days they still charged me for them couldn’t give me a full refund as a good will gesture and only gave me a refund for the order I didn’t receive. The customer care was disgusting they didn’t care at all that they had wasted my time and money. I will never use them again.
I placed my order with Thames building supplies Tuesday evening my order was here Wednesday afternoon has hassle no issues fantastic service from them just how it should be. My advice is to never use wickes they don’t care they let you down.

I am very disappointed that I still haven’t received my order. No one contacted me to let me know that the delivery would not be taking place.
I stayed at home all day because I was given a delivery window of between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. I even missed work to wait for the delivery. I remained at home until around 6:30 p.m., but my order never arrived, and I received no communication or update.

Total breach of contract - Left with NO RUNNING WATER for weeks!
Absolute nightmare experience with a fully managed Wickes bathroom installation (nearly £8,000 contract). The approved installer completely failed to perform the work with reasonable care and skill.

We have been left with NO running water to our shower or sink for weeks. The installer completely omitted the mandatory "No More Leaks" waterproofing kit, built the partition stud wall completely crooked/out of square, and left our garage piled high with construction rubbish.

We lost all trust and explicitly told Wickes not to send him back. Their executive office offered a derisory £600 compensation package to "make our own arrangements," which doesn't even cover a fraction of what it costs to hire an independent contractor to rip out the defective plumbing, fix the wall, and safely complete the room.

Wickes has completely breached their contract and failed to resolve this. We have now been forced to escalate a Section 75 claim to the Financial Ombudsman against the finance provider (Novuna). Avoid Wickes installation at all costs!

I booked a design consultation and the woman was extremely rude. She welcomed me by telling me off because her system didn't work properly for her, she didn't answer any of my questions, talked down to me and didn't do much to help me find what I was looking for. After about 15 minutes I left the store as I felt uncomfortable. I've since looked online and found better prices so they have lost my business now.

​I booked an appointment ahead of time, expecting a professional and organized experience. Instead, I was left waiting for 1.5 hours without any updates or communication from the staff. To make matters worse, after making me waste half my day sitting around, the store reached its closing time, and I was simply told I had to leave.
​No apology, no attempt to make it right, and complete disrespect for my time. If you cannot honor your appointments, do not take them. Avoid this place if you value your time.

I recently purchased fence panels for delivery for my garden and received great customer experience in the Edmonton branch. Thank you to the team and the managers for all their support.
