Great Team, Flawless Service

What truly makes a hotel beautiful is its soul—meaning its employees.
This hotel won our hearts not only with its great facilities but also with the immense hospitality of its staff. From the very first moment of check-in until our departure, every single employee we encountered was incredibly smiling, polite, and solution-oriented. Everyone works wholeheartedly for the comfort of the guests. From the speed of the waiters in the restaurant to the energy of the bartenders, from the reception to the housekeeping, the entire team truly does justice to professionalism. They made us feel not like we were at a hotel, but at the home of a cherished friend where we are deeply loved.
The general cleanliness of the hotel, its modern design, and the peaceful adult-only (+16) atmosphere it offers are already wonderful, to say the least. The pool experience, the quality of the beach, and the comfort of the rooms were top-notch. When the taste and variety of the food combined with this great service, our holiday turned into a flawless experience.
I would like to thank the entire hotel management and that wonderful team from the bottom of my heart for giving us this unforgettable holiday. If you are looking for a place that never compromises on service quality, you are definitely at the right address.
I would especially like to thank:

The gentleman in charge of the Restaurant area, and Chef Mehmet (Mehmet Şef), who ensures the preparation of delicious meals and constantly runs checks in the restaurant,

In my opinion, the only negative side of the hotel:
It was the lady in the Guest Relations department. Imagine this, I can't even tell you her name because she didn't even bother to approach us close enough for us to read her name tag. It was as if she had created her own criteria; she was literally fluttering around some guests while overlooking others and not even condescending to look at their faces. We stayed at the hotel with my family for 5 days, and we crossed paths at least 4 or 5 times every single day. We were seriously disturbed by her blank and cold stares, her insincere manners, and the condescending attitude she made us feel she was displaying towards certain guests.

Photo not as described on website. Motorway between beach and hotel. Underpass not lit to beach. Then a galvanised ladder to climb down to beach. Beach bar very old. Hard seats, only local beer and soda no cocktails or shorts. Man made pier to sit on. Access difgicult if mobility issue. Hotel clean and modern. Entertainment in an amphitheatre access issue on crutch. All concrete steps to sit on. No poolside service. Food ok but little choice. Couldnt make a full meal. Alcohol allocal but poor quality. The bailys substitute was disgusting. Hotel room had irritating on/off when balcony door opened for air con... the beds were rock hard. Slept on sun lounger. Moved hotel upgraded.

White City hotel

This hotel is a very nice hotel. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I like the fact that it is close to the beach and also markets/ shopping centres.

However, sadly I was really disappointed with the food that the hotel provided. Perhaps this is down to my personal preference but the really did not enjoy the food which is unfortunate.

Moreover, the activities options could be improved. On one night the activities board noted that there would be Turkish dancing but this did not happen.

Despite this, special shoutout to Yulia (staff member) who made my stay here really special.

We were consistently impressed by the…

We were consistently impressed by the fantastic staff here. Their warmth, welcoming demeanor, and incredible accommodating nature truly stood out. The cleaners were particularly noteworthy for their exceptional friendliness. We'd like to extend a special thank you to Ali, whose presence at mealtimes was a delight he was not only helpful but also genuinely friendly and engaging, greatly contributing to our enjoyment. Ahmed, the rep, also deserves immense praise. His dedication to ensuring everyone had a great time was evident; he made a point of getting to know each guest personally and even learned all our names, adding a wonderful personal touch to our stay. These genuine efforts made our experience here truly unforgettable.

Didn't like cold food

Didn't like cold food, noisy rooms, nobody speaks English, they cater for Germans. Beware of excursions horse riding unsafe and dangerous, also air con not working, never again

Don't fall for this scam!

We stayed at White city resort hotel for one week during the end of October.

When we arrived the hotel we were expecting to go get our booked room but instead we were instantly offered an upgrade. The standard room that we were meant to live in turned out to be of very poor quality which wasn't even listed on the hotels website. We had no other choice than to upgrade our room and pay the additional fee. We see this as unprofessional behaviour from a five star hotel which unfortunately is an organised scam. During our visit it was made clear that other guests had been fooled as well.

I've had experience with multiple five stars hotels in Turkey and therefore I believe I am credible enough to write this review.

First of all the the lobby, the restaurant and the bar were located on a basement level. This means that they were all very dark areas due to the fact that no light was entering the building.

When I was ordering this trip, one of the things I dreamt of was to sit outside and enjoy the sun, the chattering birds and the fresh air during my meals. Unfortunately I did not have this possibility since the restaurant did not offer any seats in the open area. It was only possible to sit inside of the poorly lit restaurant confined by glass windows.

When comparing the food options at this hotel with my previous stays, I noticed that the choice of food was limited and reoccuring during the entire week.

The waiters were busy during dinner since they offered us drinks only one of the seven nights. Many of the guests were seen bringing their own drinks from the bar.

The only way to get to rest of the hotel area was to walk down a slim pathway which was often crowded.

Loud music played at the outdoor area and the pool every day. This would normally not be a problem but the fact that disco music was played from morning until night made it tiring.

Positives :

The a 'la carte restaurant had a great menu and fresh food.

The hotels desserts were quite an upgrade from previous hotels. Their cheesecake was especially excellent.

They also had a starbucks which served a few hours a day.

Their nightshows were interesting and captivating. The hotel brought in different entertainers every night.

To summarize everything that has been said we have experienced better five star hotels in Turkey.

Questionable staff at times.

I would go back but not in a hurry.

Over all it was brilliant, staff except a few were all lovely and helpful, rooms were lovely and cleaned every day. Food had a great variety and drinks menu was desirable with lots of choice.

The first thing that began to get annoying was the amount of staff who repeatedly ask you if you want their service. Helpful as it is, we didn’t want a spa treatment and we didn’t need asking every day. We also booked a photoshoot - we did enjoy it. However when it came to buying the pictures, we were told it was just €7 a picture and if we didn’t like them we didn’t need to buy them. They left you pretty much no choice but to buy nearly all of them. They pressured you into it and left you feeling as though you had no choice as you couldn’t get away from them. £75 in total we spent just on pictures.

We also booked a meal for us 4 which was included in the all inclusive package. We experienced some very very rude comments from the main waiter in there regarding one of our group’s appearance. He mentioned it once and then came back over and carried it on at which point we all stood up and left. We passed this on to our jet2holidays rep who was quick to issue the complaint and investigate it thoroughly.

We sat for the entertainment most nights with a hookah and a few cocktails. One of these nights we saw a rat running around near the beach bar where they serve food and drink. The same waiter we had had previous issues with was in the restaurant seating area cleaning up. We made him aware of the rat to which he said ‘what am I meant to do’. We then went and told the hookah staff who dealt with the rat and removed it. We were a bit concerned that restaurant staff had no concern over a rat near the kitchen!

And finally, we were invited to a meeting to discuss ‘recent global events’ and come together over some pre drinks. We got ready and went down to the meeting point and we were the only ones there. We were poured a glass of champagne and then managers and staff sat down with us. This meeting was nothing to do with what they had said it was at all. This meeting was solely for them to pressure us into writing them a 5* review on trust-pilot. They sat and read the reviews over our shoulders and then took pictures of our phones once we had done them. We were given late check-out for one of our rooms for doing so and we’re told we would get a free gift for doing so. The gift was a bag that I’ll never use. I was so shocked that they pushed people into the reviews like that!

The hotel is lovely, the pools rooms and views are amazing! However the staff can be very questionable in their actions and how they portray themselves. I would recommend it - just be aware of certain staff and being pressured into things.

Hotel is in Turkey

Hotel is in Turkey, Alaonya.
There are lots of good points but there are big important bad points I would not go again and I would say to you, pick somewhere else!
Bad bits: The mattress, Rock hard, the wife and myself took 3 lots of painkillers each night so we could get some sleep, we ended up with painful hips, shoulders and back pain throughout the day and night, We asked other people and they all said the same thing, its a real shame. There is a Spa downstairs and you'll find out about this the first day as they hunt you out! we wanted the Spa treatment so that was not a problem, in the spa the floor was marble and so slippery it was really hard just to keep on your feet, in fact my wife didn't as she fell over and banged her knee which left bruses, at this point they then put towels on the floor so we could walk to the beds. But this was not before my feet slipped away from me and I nearly went down to.
I've had lots of treatments myself but the massage here was just sheer pain, I was screaming inside. At the end the salesperson got a rundown of the treatment and come up with a bill of £345 for further massage treatments I had not even asked for. very hard forward selling here, knocked the shine right off the place.
Food, looks good at first, then you see there's not a lot of choice really unless you like chips for breakfast.
Chairs, most of them have the main seat base so large you can't reach the backrest so you end up kind of half laying down in the chair which is very uncomfortable.
Entertainment staff, some can be a little stand-off-ish and don't look like they want to be there. and speaking English is very hit and miss and many times you have no idea what's going on in the shows.
Good stuff: very clean hotel, very helpful staff and shop owner. Pools are clean with lifeguards. rooms clean no iron though.
All in all: sort the mattresses out and if we were thinking about going back we might choose it again.

Anmeldelse af opholdet d. 5-12/10 2017 til destinationen White City Resort hotel, Fugla Mevkii, Alanya 07407, Tyrkiet med Mixx travel. All inclusive hvorfor jeg ikke spiste andre steder.
Jeg rejser rigtig meget og har som eneste undtagelse kun én gang tidligere for ca 20 år siden haft maveproblemer - det hører egentlig med til at tegne et korrekt billede af situationen

Jeg nævnte nedenstående problemer for Mixx Travels guide på stedet, som i stedet anbefalede mig at skrive det til hovedkontoret, når jeg kom hjem, så der var ikke rigtig nogen interesse fra guiden i at indgå i en dialog med hotellet desangående. –Jeg forsøgte flere gange at finde den ”guest relations” som skulle være næsten konstant til stede, men det var yderst vanskeligt og receptionisterne var også ekstremt dårlige til engelsk. Jeg forsøgte at tale med en kvinde som kom ud fra ”manager” lokalet, så jeg formoder at hun har en vis rang. Men om det skyldes manglende engelskkundskaber eller manglende vilje aner jeg ikke, men det lykkedes mig ikke at få nogen brugbar feed back vedrørende min klage over forholdende omkring hygiejne og fødevarehåndteringen i forbindelse med min diarré (der var to andre blandt de få jeg talte med som også havde maveproblemer).

Set i bakspejlet irriterer det mig selvfølgelig at jeg ikke gik til lægen dernede i stedet for at klare det selv via apoteket, for jeg har dermed ikke så megen dokumentation. Subsidiært kan jeg forsøge at opspore en dansk læge fra Ringkøbing som var dernede samtidig med mig, og som KLART !!!! også var særdeles betænkelig ved fødevarehåndteringen.

Vi ankom om natten d. 5/10 og jeg fik desværre allerede kraftig diarré om lørdagen d. 7/10 som varede resten af mit ophold – derfor var jeg nødsaget til hele tiden at være tæt på toiletter for dels var diarreen kraftig men også særdeles hyppig. Selv væske rente lige igennem min krop.
Min mave var først ved at komme sig i Danmark d. 18/10

Da der blandt de ret få personer jeg talte med dernede, yderligere var 2 personer som også fik diarre, dog ikke i samme grad som jeg, så føler jeg mig ret sikker på at det skyldes forhold på hotellet. Det underbygges også KRAFTIGT af nedenstående observationer !

Nedenstående eksempler/beskrivelser er MEGET kort, da jeg er lidt tidspresset….

1. Tjener i patisserie tabte skruelåg til cola i piges glas, tog den bare op igen, og gav pigen drinken. Lige bortset fra det æstetiske i sagen, hvor megen snavs og bakterier tror I det kan tilføre mavesækken?
2. Midnight snack ( og maden vi fik ved ankomst om natten) var altid kun lunken, så alene her er et tilfælde, der ville have ført til et strakspåbud i Danmark – det er faktuelt rene patogene bakterieopformeringsfabrikker. Og det er jo desuden mad der har været inde ved middagstid, hvor det ganske vist ofte er lidt varmere, men ikke oppe på den temperatur som anses for sikker blandt fødevarekompetente.
3. Der var fisk som var OK, men alt for mange som både lugtede og smagte stærkt af fisk – det skal ingen fisk altså gøre, så her er helt klart også problemer med fødevarekontrollen og indkøbskæden.
4. Beskidt service. Især tallerkner var ofte fyldt med mindre klatter af ukendt herkomst. En dag fik jeg en stor klat ris i hånden, som havde siddet under en ”nyvasket” tallerken. Igen et hygiejne/bakterieproblem.
5. Generelt urene bordduge
6. Ikke alle, men de fleste tjenere havde ikke specielt travlt med at rydde af og gøre klar til næste gæster. Jeg synes det både var intimiderende og også uhygiejnisk at gæster selv skulle hente bestik m.v. i ”tjenerskabene” men det er også særdeles uhørt på et femstjernet hotel. Det er simpelthen ikke i orden!
7. Jeg må generelt konkludere en meget dårlig eller ikke-eksisterende kontrol med det der produceredes og serveredes i restauranten. Andre indikationer herpå var
a. Kaffe fra den store beholder var meget forskellig fra gang til gang. Lige fra ret stærk til meget tynd dvs der er ingen der kontrollerer eller laver kafffen efter en instruks eller bare kontrolsmager den
b. Ayran blev tilbudt fra en MEGET stor beholder. Jeg har været i Tyrkiet rigtig mange gange. Alene i 2016 var jeg der 5 gange og jeg har ALDRIG set Ayran tilbudt/produceret på den måde. Det giver heller ikke nogen mening, for de fleste gæster ved ikke hvad det er og kan heller ikke lide det, må jeg konstatere. Men i beholderen var Ayran´en lunken, tynd og usaltet og havde absolut INTET med tyrkisk Ayran at gøre. Det ville en naturligt kontrollerende smagsprøve lynhurtigt have afsløret!

8. Guest relations (en kraftig dame) havde en ubehøvlet opførsel, da jeg ville tale med hende om seværdigheder. Jeg troede jo det var kunder hun havde, så jeg stillede mig høfligt med ca 5 meters afstand og kiggede jævnligt over mod hende og de tre hun talte med. Efter 5 minutter opgav jeg og gik tilbage til receptionen. Han gennede mig lynhurtigt tilbage, og da de jo var ekstremt dårlige til engelsk ved skranken, forstod jeg simpelthen ikke hvad det gik ud på….. så viste det sig gudhjælpemig at det bare var hendes bekendte hun talte med, i stedet for at passe sit arbejde!!!!! Mage til opførsel har jeg faktisk aldrig oplevet i Tyrkiet, som jeg besøger mange gange hvert år. Sidste år var jeg der 5 gange! Desuden var hun næsten aldrig tilstede, hvilket flere andre gæster også havde bemærket. Hun skulle jo være der fra formiddag til kl 17 forstod jeg.

9. A la carte restaurant har meget uprofessionelt personel, som ikke er i nærheden af at være uddannede tjenere. De er ikke opmærksomme på gæsterne, hvis glassen fx er tomme, komme og spørge om det smagte godt, om der var noget vi manglede eller andre meget almindelige ting på selv middelmådige restauranter. Ingen anede hvad og hvor mange retter vi skulle have at spise. Og om der var dessert….da jeg spurgte om der var dessert fik jeg svaret at det var aperitif. Det var det så overhovedet ikke og det havde jeg da dog heller ikke forventet, men det var så nogle endda ret umodne frugtstykker som selvsagt ikke smagte godt. Drikkevarerne anede de intet om. Svaret var ”wine”……. så det har ABSOLUT!!!!!! intet med a la carte eller blot en middelmådig restaurant at gøre.

10. I patisseriet betjente samme unge tjener andre tyrkiske kunder fremfor nordeuropæere. Der ville nok blive råbt RACISME, hvis det samme var sket i DK!

11. Manglende info om evt aktiviteter og hvor man evt kunne se det opslået henne undtaget en selvopdaget rulletekst på hotellets ”amphiteater” – som så overhovedet!!!!!! Ikke passede. Jeg opdagede på intet tidspunkt nogle reelle aktiviteter udover en aften med tyrkisk dans og mavedans samt hørte ad omveje at der ville blive arrangeret en bus til ”Summergarden” – så heller ikke hvad man ellers kunne forvente af et femstjernet hotel
12. Ikke alle, men de fleste tjenere havde ikke specielt travlt med at rydde af og gøre klar til næste gæster. Jeg synes det både var intimiderende at vi selv skulle hente bestik m.v. i ”tjenerskabene” men det er også særdeles uhørt på et femstjernet hotel. Det er simpelthen ikke i orden!

13. Hamampersonalet var ikke sådan specielt indbydende, men til at leve med, men den store overraskelse var dog, at der skulle betales 5 euro!!!! for at komme i et ganske almindeligt dampbad som findes masser af steder i DK i svømmehaller. Der er altså helt uhørt på et 5 stjernet hotel. Men det var jo tydeligvis ikke kun jeg, der havde den opfattelse, eftersom saunaen var velbesøgt men ikke et øje i dampbadet ;-)

14. Hotellet var helt usædvanligt pernitten med flere ting. Jeg har faktisk aldrig oplevet noget lignende på mine efterhånden mangeårige rejser i især Tyrkiet (alene i 2016 var jeg i tyrkiet 5 gange). ”George Clooney – attrappen” stod simpelthen og mandsopdækkede en af de andre gæster, fordi han ville tage et par øl op på værelset. Og det er ikke en overdrivelse. Han stillede sig simpelthen op og stirrede på gæsten. Han stod der 20 minutter vil jeg tro. MEGET ubehagelig oplevelse!! Ligeledes særdeles ubehageligt var det en gang jeg tog et stykke brød i hånden til at gnaske på, for at forsøge at holde halsbrand i forbindelse med min diarré lidt i ave. Det blev gudhjælpemig også påtalt, så jeg måtte i en meget moden alder snige en smule mad med ud til vores rejse hjem. Noget som ellers frivilligt stilles til rådighed på alle andre hoteller jeg har været på i Tyrkiet. -DOG ikke med Mixx Travel, så om det er noget specielt hos dette firma ved jeg ikke, men det er dæleme dårlig reklame. Jeg havde en af mine voksne sønner med, som også har været ude at rejse mange gange. Han sad en aften med 6 andre unge og ca et kvarter før baren lukkede hentede de 2 drinks hver, så de kunne sidde og fortsætte med hyggen en smule længere. Så fik de gudhjælpemig skældud… 2 gange endda….. altså det her får mig simpelthen HELT op i det røde felt!!!!! af. Vi taler altså et 5-stjernet hotel, hvor vi har betalt for all inklusive…. Jeg har ALDRIG oplevet lignende opførsel fra personale nogetsteds.

Jeg har siden hjemkomsten forsøgt at få Mixx Travel i tale og få en realitetsbehandling, men uden held. Jeg må derfor konkludere at Mixx Travel drives særdeles uprofessionelt og at de er totalt ligeglade med kundernes ønsker, behov og ikke mindst sikkerhed. Uhygiejniske forhold omkring fødevarer giver velkendte gener lige fra mindre maveonde over decideret diarré men kan bestemt også medføre langt alvorligere sygdomstilfælde som bl.a. forgiftning og i værste fald død. Derfor undrer Mixx Travels tilgang mig helt utroligt. Jeg har også hver eneste gang nævnt at jeg selvfølgelig ville offentliggøre mine oplevelser, men at de jo havde mulighed for at stille sig selv i et betydeligt bedre lys ved at realitetsbehandle sagen. Det har Mixx Travel tydeligvis ikke ønsket, hvorfor enhver kommentar uden reel handling fra firmaet skal tages med et MEGET stort gran salt ;-) – jeg ser dem faktisk som uvederhæftige efter det forløb her.
