I have used wards before and had a great experience with Sylvie feltham , so I used them
Again this time and yet again Sylvie feltham was fantastic, she had limited time to carry out my request but she managed to do it with great communication etc , can’t recommend enough 😃

My dealings have been with Andrew Wareham, partner, whom I have found to be personable, knowledgable and lucid is his explanation of complex matters. Our business was completed in a timely manner to my complete satisfaction.

Never ever had a solicitor tell me to plead guilty, refuse to take my evidence. Then go into court with me and not say a word when false charges are read out against me. Not one word. A solicitor from this practice did just that. Wonder how much he charged Legal Aid for turning up on the day. Because that is all he did. yep keep your evidence.

Having received claims against the estate of my deceased daughter by her abusive "partner" we needed a solicitor to at least contest the case being brought. The actions of the partner assigned to the case failed to challenge false statements made in witness statements by the claimant; failed to issue a notice to determine residence even though this was recommended by the suggested barrister and failed to inform my wife and I about the number of permissible witness statements amongst other issues. At mediation the negotiating skills were seriously lacking and would not have stood up in any commercial setting. Prior to this it became clear that acceptance of all claims, eloquently made by the claimant's solicitor, was the easiest and therefore preferred option. In the end the cost to us of defending the case, even without going to court, is in excess of a quarter of a million pounds. This belies the trite statement made on accounts submitted on November 6th 2025 that, "At the present time I consider that your prospects of success mean that it is feasonable for you to continue funding this case".
If the "prospects of success" were to cost such a life changing sum we decided that we were no longer prepared to continue funding Wards and notified all concerned that we would now represent ourselves a decision in retrospect that should have been taken much earlier.
Note that the date of the experience was from July 2023 to 6th November 2025 and finally resolved in February 2026.
