Excellent experience - highly recommended
Excellent experience. Team were friendly, careful and efficient. Packed the vans expertly and were reassuring when I was concerned about the amount of stuff we had to move. Nothing was too much trouble - including delivering more packing boxes very quickly for self-packing before moving day. Very reasonably priced too compared to other quotes we received. I would highly recommend.

We used VP Smart Removals this month and couldn’t recommend them enough! The team were fantastic and made the whole experience so smooth and seamless.
Ana made the booking process really easy and provided clear communications throughout (both pre and post move).
The removal team on the day- Marios, Jimmy and Ben – were so professional and highly skilled. They were very punctual, efficient, handled all our items with care and got the job done so quickly. Highly reliable and considerate
We used the company twice this year and both times the team were very helpful, considerate and on time. All our items were carefully packed and moved, to the smallest flower or pen. Great care was taken throughout the process.

Great team & brilliant service
For the second time in 4 years the team at VP moved house for us. As with the last time the team were amazing.
Ana our move consultant set everything up for us with a thorough pre move assessment and video call.
On the 29th May the team of Joro, Jeffry & Emo came and were incredible, really friendly, quick, careful and bang on time!
It was a big move and we didn’t make some of it easy for them by asking them to move quite large furniture into a loft room. They disassembled and reassembled everything. They also totally disassembled and reassembled our ottoman beds. No instructions required (when I first built these beds it took me two hours, the reassemble took less than 10 mins. I have no idea how they did it and it’s better now than when I built it)
I’m hoping to never need to move again, but if I do and anyone I know does then VP are the recommendation I’ll be giving.

Good work ethic, poor execution
We recently employed VP Removals for a domestic move in South West London. While there were some positives, overall, the experience fell short of expectations and I would hesitate to recommend them.
On the plus side, the team were punctual and worked hard throughout the day. Their work ethic was clear, and they got the job done efficiently. However, it often felt like speed was prioritised over care – to the detriment of our belongings.
My PC screen was not properly wrapped and arrived with a cracked screen. A lamp was also smashed. Some rugs and curtains were stuffed into boxes rather than folded neatly, resulting in the need for professional dry cleaning. These are basic packing standards that should have been met.
When I raised concerns, sourcing compensation proved difficult. The company has a £250 insurance excess, meaning they will not cover or replace anything valued below that amount – which is odd given that many household items fall under this threshold. They offered a gesture of goodwill (£180), but this was far from sufficient to cover the damage caused.
There were other elements of the experience that raised concerns. At one point, a member of the team invited my young children into the removals van for a drive. While this was likely meant as a friendly gesture, it was not appropriate from a safety perspective and is something I would strongly discourage. Another mover asked what I did for a living – a question that, in the context of the move, felt like an unnecessary encroachment on privacy.
Finally, it’s important to note that their insurance only covers damage reported within 7 days of delivery. If unpacking takes longer, as it often does in busy households, you’ll be left out of pocket if you need to replace any damaged items.
On balance, while the team was friendly and hardworking, the lack of care in packing, subpar handling of damages, odd privacy missteps, and limited insurance coverage suggest there are likely better options available.

That said, we are disappointed to hear about the damage to your items. While we always strive for the utmost care, accidents can occasionally happen in any move. Our team is trained in packing procedures, and we provide materials and handling protocols to minimise risk. Regarding insurance, our policy terms (including the £250 excess) are clearly outlined before booking, and we always encourage clients to review these in advance so they can make fully informed decisions. The goodwill payment we offered was not an obligation, but a sincere attempt to assist despite the limits of the policy.
With regard to your safety concerns, we take this extremely seriously. We’ve investigated the report of a team member inviting your children into the vehicle, and while we believe this was a well-meaning gesture rather than anything unsafe or inappropriate, we agree this was not in line with professional boundaries and have issued a reminder to all staff.
Similarly, the casual conversation regarding your occupation was likely an attempt at friendly rapport, not an intrusion. We’re sorry if it made you uncomfortable and will remind our team to always prioritise professionalism and respect for personal space.
While we regret that this move did not fully meet your expectations, we’re grateful for the opportunity to respond and clarify. Our goal remains to offer the highest level of service and transparency, and we will take your feedback into account to continue improving.
