I sent VARTA an email with full details of the dud batteries and they still haven't acknowledged my contact. Shameful behaviour from such a prestigious company 😕

German sticker , made in china my E44 battery
didn’t even last 3 years , they are crap .

Bad quality product. Just a shame.

In maggio ho sostituto le batterie della mia meteo statio oregon le avevo acquistate la settimana prima e scadevano entrambe nel 2028 : 4 erano alkaline varta AA e 4 Panasonic alkaline (di cui una era stata appena messa in un orologio alessi e quindi ne rimanevano 3 panasonic) : ribadisco NUOVE acquistate la settimana prima al IPERTOSANO.
Apro la stazione meteo e vedo che me ne sevono 4 per cui essendo tutte aa alkaline scad 2028 inserisco 3 panasonic e una VARTA.
Oggi sorpresa : la stazione meteo segnala batteria scarica.
la prendo in mano e vedo che c'è del "sale essiccato" su un lato : apro e vedo che la batteria varta ha perso il liquido.
tolgo tutto e porto a pulire il vano batterie ed a controllare i contatti del mio apparecchi nel negozio di fiducia spiegando il problema e mi sento rispondere che la batteria nonostante la scadenza 20258 era difettosa .
invio la mail a varta e UDITE UDITE la colpa è mia perchè ho mescolato batterie con stesso voltaggio e della stessa tipologia AA ALKALINE ma di marche diverse e questo non si fa ( non ho mescolato batterie al lithio con alkaline ma 2 marche di alkaline )
prima di sostiurli perchè esaurite avevo messo 2 duracell e 2 Energizer alkaline e non è accaduto nulla e non ho dovuto spendere altri soldi per ripolire i contatti.
non comprate VARTA
Se ci fosse la possibilità potrei anche ALLEGARE LE FOTO , le stesse che ho inviato a VARTA .....

Vor zwei Jahren habe ich eine Powerbank von Varta gekauft, die leider kaputt gegangen ist. Ich habe den Kundenservice kontaktiert und war absolut begeistert, wie unkompliziert und schnell mir geholfen wurde. Ohne Probleme wurde mir eine neue Powerbank zugeschickt – das ist Service, wie man ihn sich wünscht, jedoch nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist.
Vielen Dank an das Team von Varta! Ich kann diese Firma jedem nur weiterempfehlen.

I thought I had bought a "quality battery" from Varta, 18 months ago, for my BMW K75 motorcycle. I looked after it well, using a battery tender (top-up charger) when it was left standing for any length of time and I regularly checked and topped up the fluid levels in the cells. It recently failed and died on a recent long distance tour. It will be the last time I buy a Varta battery. Reading other reviews it appears I am not alone.

I installed a Varta batter AGM-LS and in 4 months it started to malfunction and car electronics were troubling me and finally I discovered it was the battery causing this!
It doesn’t worth it.

At the tender age of 78 I am still tinkering with cars and enjoying it too. I have always used Varta batteries whenever I needed a replacement however, something has changed with this company in the last few years and as a result Varta is no longer King of Batteries for me and I would NOT recommend them to anybody.
Just after I retired I purchased a used Mercedes Benz CL65 AMG coupe, I enjoyed it so much but circumstances changed and I sold the car with a proviso that if the new owner decided to sell then I would have first refusal. Two weeks ago I got the email I had been awaiting for a few years and immediately responded Yes. When I collected my old car the vendor said that he had some trouble starting the engine recently although the Varta battery which he had fitted 3 years ago had never given any trouble. He had fitted a replacement Varta H3 because the car had the same brand and model which I had fitted before selling the car.....brand loyalty indeed. I contacted Varta Batteries by email and asked for their advice on this 5 year warranty battery , they suggested going back to the battery supplier and the garage that fitted it. I told them that the battery was bought on-line from an apparently accredited battery specialist and the garage who fitted it had been a victim of the Pandemic. NEVER again will I recommend Varta batteries. They use this "5 year Warranty" as a sales tool but fail to stand by it.

It is not worth the money. After 0.5 year they are dead. Literally dead. Good thing the don't explode. Otherwise don't worth to bother.

Varta Stop start battery in my Fiat Ducato motorhome is just over 2 years old. Let me down big time in roadworks. Pronounced dead by AA and neither Fiat nor Varta interested in replacing something that should last 5 years but has failed in half that time. Certainly won't be replacing with a Varta!

Your car batteries sales are down 45%??? Dear oh dear.

Serves you right for not honoring the guarantee when your batteries last 2 years instead of 5+.

So far including just now, I told 3 people in total not to buy V💩RT💩. Your loss, more to come. Latest person experienced issues with a brand new one, told him to bring that she-it back in the shop and buy a proper brand instead IE ''The world's leading battery manufacturer'' - not to name them but that's what I now have in my car after 3 failed VARTAS on 3 different cars.

Vi købte for nogen tid siden både AA og AAA genopladelige batterier til de efterhånden mange elektriske dimser man har i huset. Vi valgte umiddelbart Varta, da firmaet virker velrenommeret. Men så opdager vi hen ad vejen, at batterierne er en "my" større end standard batterier. De ligner og måles som det samme, men vi kan bare ikke presse fx 4 batterier ned i vores radio. Almindelige batterier kan godt, men Vartas vil IKKE. De er kun en brøkdel af en millimeter større, men nok til, at de ikke passer ind i de forskellige elektriske apparater. Fx vil 1 stk. Varta AA batteri bare IKKE ind i min næse og skægtrimmer.
Hvad i helgoland er det for en størrelse I fører? Vi bruger nu Duracell, godt nok dyrere, men de passer sgu da!

I bought the Varta power bank (20000maH) and everything worked fine. Unfortunately, it stopped working after 4 months. This product had no warranty, so I had to buy another one. I won't recommend this product, it's better to buy a more expensive one that offers a longer product lifetime.

Varta hat schwer nachgelassen. Die Leistung der Batterie ist nur noch mäßig. Es war mal die Top Marke. Inzwischen nur noch mit einem 1€ Produkt zu vergleichen

I had a broken battery and they solved the issue very quickly. The rest of my batteries works perfect. Im not sure why they have negative reviews on this site. Their products works splendid!

I have just renewed the battery on my daughters MINI One, the date stamp was 33 / 08 (which I have been told means it was manufactured week 33 of 2008)! Yup, the original battery - 16 years and 65000 miles incredible!
I wonder if they will give me a freebie replacement??

I was buying powerone hearing aid batteries for years from amazon-they usually lasted 4-5 days. the last batch was power one, but branded varta - they last only 2 days at most with same usage as before. I suspect they are using cheap supplies or perhaps not even really made in germany any longer-do not buy their hearing aid 312 batteries!

Es handelt sich um Varta Akkus AAA 1000mAh. Vor einem halben Jahr sechs Stück gekauft extra für Mobiltelefone. Vier Stück sind bereits defekt. Bei Vollladung 15 Minuten Gesprächsdauer dann ist Ende. Als sie neu Waren hielten sie wesentlich länger durch. Wir sind keine Vieltelefonierer

My Varta battery gave up after only 14 months of use. They have no customer service. No Varta battery ever again, beware of that scam company.
