There isn’t another product I’ve ever owned for nearly 30 years of continuous use that has been more reliable or effective at returning its original cost, several times over.

I’m also quite happy that my Valentine is American designed & made.

I have the option to send it back for improvements or for repairs, if ever needed.

This company is a keeper.

I purchased the detector for a trip a couple months ago. Worked fine. The suction cups failed though. I have used the contact us email from their website twice now to see if they can send me new ones. They have not contacted me about it, or sent me new ones. Customer service is lacking care and understanding. 2 stars. Do a better job, and give a crap about your sales and product quality for customers. Either the contact us function works, or it needs to be removed from your website as an option to contact you.

I’ve owned 3 different valentine one detectors. The new V1 Gen 2 detector is absolutely amazing. I’ve never gotten so much warning before radar speed trap. I waited to get a new one until my old one finally burned out. Which took over 20 years! Their products are built to last. I wouldn’t buy anything else. I’m customer for life.

I’ve been using the Valentine One in my vehicles for several years. I preordered 2 of the Gen 2 snd they work great.

Valentine has the very best product on the market and I've had en all. But their customer service makes you feel like part of the Valentine family. Upgrades are practically free. Thanks Mike for the arrows. And side by side against the rest that just go beep? Our detector goes off first. Ive often said… i owe mike valentine 100/mo for saving me thousands of dollars. The Gen 2 is unbelievably long ranged. Combined with a hidden laser jammer…. Ive been ticketless for 14 years. “Once you have arrows? You cant live without them” -Facts.

Been using Valentine from the start. Repairs and upgrades are very reasonable and easy. The only speeding tickets I've gotten are when being paced or VASCAR. Great product and customer support!

What can I say about Valentine One? Well, I bought my first V1G1 in 1998, and it has saved me more money than I can think of. It has worked so flawlessly over the last 28 years that I decided to upgrade it a couple of weeks ago. My overall cost of operation of this unit was $14.25 per year. I dropped it in the mail and it was upgraded and returned to me in exactly 1.5 weeks. My hat is off to V1. I am sorry for Mike's loss. Hate to see a legend pass. I have been so impressed with this upgrade, I immediately sent my second V1G1 in for an upgrade as well. Thanks, guys, yall are still doing a great job.

This is my second review on this great radar detector (V1 Gen 2). I had it for almost 6 years now and it has been solid. I absolutely love the simplistic design and compact size and light weight, particularly I love the magnesium casing. I also like the non-kinked cord, unlike the other competitors the Valentine power cord is thin and can be tucked into grooves and rubber trims easily. I also like the two software updates that we receive every year, that tells you that this company is committed to stay in par with the technology. I live in Arizona and the car can get easily in the 130-150F degrees inside in the summer so I would say that rarely the detector shuts off(very rarely) but I think is because of a temperature failsafe mechanism, I don't leave the detector when I park but when I use it it gets direct sun light and rarely shut off for a few minutes. The mounts are solid, still using the original ones. Valentine sells a set of 4 suction cups for a dollar so they are awesome. The radar itself mounts perfectly, it is so simplistic and so quiet, no bouncing, no rubbing, no plastic noises and so easy to adjust the angle. As far is the performance I would say that this radar detector is a beast, I had a solid signal one time in the city at 2.4 miles from a motorcycle cop, I am sure it would have detected it even longer but it was a scenario where I turned into an avenue at 90 degree and I got all full legs on display. I wholeheartedly recommend this radar detector, it is a top radar detector and is fairly quiet, it filters very well. For the record, I also run Uniden flagship(R8W) and Escort flagship as well (redline 360C), both of these detectors comes with more features too but I am telling you that the V1 Gen 2 is toe to toe with the other ones and slightly better at some things (price for instance) or the magnesium casing or the solid customer support with the software updates or the fact that you get a hardwire install kit for free.

Been running the Gen 1 for 7 years without a ticket. I decided to give this to my son and upgrade to the Gen 2. I am impressed by the Gen 2 it picks up police from a distance and allows reaction time. The app is also great. Excellent product and I would buy again.

Been running my detector for I believe about 15 years now, Had an issue once, paid to ship to them, they did a software update, they shipped it back, been flawless since. Has saved me literally thousands of dollars, as I have a lead foot, running between Pa. and the Jersey shore

By far the best radar detector I have ever bought, it has saved me tons and tons of times from tickets. The two detectors I've used and Trust are this one and also escort I've had both detectors and I don't run with the escort anymore. The Valentine is the best detector hands down and I've had many years with escort radar detectors and Valentine is by far a better unit and more versatile. I love the long range and also the stealth features of it and it picks up pretty much everything that I need to worry about. The only one thing that I could recommend is that they use a better speaker on the unit the one I have now is working great but I have gone through two speakers since I've had the detector but both were covered under warranty and so far I have not lost the speaker again. Other than that I have used it on my motorcycle all the time and switch it back to the truck depending on which one I'm driving and it is been through weather and all sorts of stuff and I've had no issues with it including on the motorcycle riding in excess of 13 hours. You can't get a better rate radar in my opinion.

I have been using Mike Valentine's products since the original Escort VU-Meter device! in 2008 when the economy dived and i accepted a new job in Daytona Beac i bought a V1-Gen1 and WOW!! in almost 18 years not 1 ticket---maybe some crap your pants scary KA moments but no injuries!! so many trips from Daytona through the back woods good old boys networks of Georgia towns( yes they still say "listen heya boy" lol) and at every road block, license check etc they all say-- Oh, you have a Valentine? why yes i do!! so 18 years later, i have a V2-GEN1 firmware updated and ready for battle- I just need the new TECH DISPLAY to make hunting a new joy. I love driving and beating the radar waves of today. VALENTINE Rocks!! keep it up! Customer for life!!

Great product but very expansive. Power cable doesn't like the sun. It has save me many tickets, well enough to pay for it 2-3 times!

Awesome service experience. Have had a V1G2 for over 4 years, and had to send mine in for out of warranty service.

The tech working on my detector personally called me, told me about exactly everything that he did, and that he personally road tested the fix for 8 hours in his own car.

Above and beyond service, and in total, my detector was out less than two weeks!

I ran the Gen1 for 12 great years being the leader of the pack. Just recently upgraded the Gen2 and wow, V1 just reset the bar again. The detection range is incredible. Excellent customer service throughout the upgrade process. I could not be more satisfied.
