Ordered 50 custom USB-C drives (Pivot Style 2.0, 4GB) for $331.50. The drives may transfer data, but that does not cure the underlying problem: the physical build quality is poor. The USB-C connector does not insert and seat the way a properly manufactured USB-C device should. It remains partially exposed, does not sit flush, and feels inconsistent in actual use. I tested this on current high-end hardware, including a MacBook Pro, so this was not a compatibility issue. I documented the problem with photos. Rather than seriously engage with that evidence, the company repeatedly insisted there was no issue with insertion, seating, or orientation and reduced the complaint to a matter of “perception.” That is not credible customer support. A company is free to stand by its product, but it should not do so by flatly denying what a customer has clearly documented. At that point, the issue was no longer just the product. It was the company’s unwillingness to deal honestly and professionally with a legitimate complaint. I would not order from them again.

After you contacted us, we promptly provided a prepaid return label so the drives could be inspected and tested directly. We received 18 of the 50 units back and evaluated them across multiple USB-C devices, including MacBook hardware. Based on that testing, we were not able to reproduce a functional or mechanical defect with the returned items.
We understand that your personal experience with the product’s fit and feel differed from our findings, and we respect that this was your view in actual use. However, we did take the matter seriously, reviewed the returned units carefully, and responded based on the results of that evaluation.
We always want customers to feel confident in both our products and our service, and we regret that we were not able to reach a resolution that satisfied you.

I started looking for a new USB Card distributor when our previous manufacturer raised their prices by around $2 a card from what we had purchased last year. I am happy that this occurred because our firm was able to find USB Memory Direct that not only beat the price we were being asked to pay in 2026 but the price that we had paid a year ago in early 2025. The design and ordering process was streamlined, and our account executive Joe Calvani has been extremely helpful!

Big Job Approached
I was tasked with getting 100 usb's setup with a presentation with less than 2 weeks time to complete. I went out and requested quotes from 3 different companies. Out of those 3, USB Memory Direct came well under the others. Additionally, I worked with Joseph Calvani who streamlined the process from start to finish. We ordered a special order of 1,000 usb's. Very excited at first with look of them. 3 of the thousand purchased shorted out 3 different computers when placed in portal. Now I have 997 usb drives that I do not have faith in, let alone to give out to our residents! All I got was that USB Memory Direct couldn't repeat the issue.

When you raised concerns, we promptly issued a prepaid return label, tested the drives extensively, and found no defects or power issues.
While it’s highly unlikely for a UDP chip to cause the problems described, we took your report seriously and even requested supporting logs from your IT team, though we didn’t receive a response.
