Could’ve had more of a discount
We’ve had all the house carpeted over the last couple of months. Living room, hall, stairs, landing, and all 3 bedrooms. Spent over £4k because we wanted the same top quality carpet and underlay throughout. Had 3 separate fitters, one, who fitted the smallest bedroom, needed a hand upstairs with both the underlay and the carpet, so wouldn’t tasted him. I thought we’d have got more of a discount as well due to the amount we bought over 2/3 months. If it wasn’t for the carpet we wanted was being delisted.

Great Floors - Not Enough Attention to Detail
Visited Sheffield Barnsley Rd store in March 2025. Very happy with service and choice of products. Found the floors I've always wanted and happy with price. Also found my ideal bed along with an offer for the mattress. Left over the moon and waited 2 months (due to issues with new house) for delivery. Floors fitted perfectly and very happy with them. Bed arrived and was told it wouldn't fit up the stairs (small terrace) - extremely disappointed with this as staff member who measured for floors also measured for bed and assured me it would fit. Obviously the bed would fit in the room but he didn't think about getting the bed up the stairs or take time to measure. The bed had to be returned. I received a full refund. I was very disappointed and frustrated as I have enough going on without having to mess about with all this. It was sorted out promptly and professionally, however I'd be uncertain about using UC&B again because of this incident.

Although I had to wait a few weeks for delivery it was worth it my delivery was 27th of may and it went very well with efficiency. The two men were quick and very professional. This is the 3rd purchase I've made since 2009 and I've always been satisfied.

Best experience I have had at carpet shop from start to finish, Mark at barnsley road branch came out measured up my bungalow full fit carpet and vinyl flooring.
He gave me a fantastic price all good quality.
Carpet fitter arrived did an excellent job I think they called him Richard.
I would recommend this company all day long to anyone don't go anywhere else you won't be disappointed and remember you get what you pay for.
5 🌟 service all round can't praise them enough.

Flooring purchase
Can't fault the customer service and the experience in the shop itself as the man who served us was very polite and knowledgeable and I would give 5 stars for him and our flooring was delivered within a week by a very polite man for which I would give 5 stars.
However, I won't be purchasing flooring from there again, it cost us over £700, and the floor has been a nightmare to fit. It wouldn't click together properly and when it did, my husband put another piece up to it and it popped out again. My husband has a lot of experience with laying flooring and he's done it many times and never come across this problem before. My husband has ended up having to practically glue it to the floor. It could have been a bad batch or it's just a rubbish design but it's definitely put me off returning to the shop.

Friendly staff
Friendly staff on purchase and friendly carpet fitter can't wait till I have my other carpet fitted,but that can only happen when I've decorated the room which does take time due to sorting things out.
Purchase in December fitted in January due to waiting for me.
