United Carpets & Beds - Melton Mowbray Recenzje 

Chose carpet & vinyl for whole house. Got told after a few days to pick different carpets as they didn’t have what I ordered. After a month I got carpet fitted but vinyl hadn’t arrived. When I went to the shop and heard it was no where near ready for delivery I suggested picking something they did have enough of in store so had to alter my choices and style. Was told it was coming in on Wednesday and can be fitted following mon/tues. Went into store again when I’d heard nothing and spoke to the chap who measures. The lady manager was obviously avoiding me as she looked sheepish, didn’t say a word when I said hello and made out she was busy. I had to demand my vi to be fit that Friday or else I will be getting money back. Fitters were a while other story. Ones who laid carpet stunk of BO and one was on personal calls throughout the job. One came 4 hours after calling to say they were coming . Other one came 3 more hours after that and didn’t leave till 9pm

Shop service average fitting service very poor cut the carpet short wanted to patch it had to wait nearly two weeks to replace finished fitting at about 9pm didn't fit grippers so carpet not stretched properly would not recommend this company

Excellent service the gentleman who served us gave good advice on the carpets and underlay

Previously had all my hall, stairs and landing decorated. Absolutely in love with it and cost a lot of money.. found the carpet I wanted, thought it was actually quite expensive for what it was but hey ho, had to wait a fair few weeks for it to be delivered. When the lads got there I asked them very nicely ‘please just be carful of my new banister, it’s black and marks very easily’ yeah yeah, not a problem.

After they left, I had a good inspection around, there are no end of snags in the ends of my carpet, there is a connection on my bottom step and it’s a real eye sore!! And they had also ripped my wallpaper, not even a little tear, a big rip in the middle of the paper and tried to cover their tracks by colouring it in with a black biro pen!!!!!

When I phoned and asked, they said they would get back to me but to bear in mind the fitters don’t actually have pens in the van, they have pencils or markers🥴 conveniently didn’t get back to me as they had lost my number. So after several more phone calls and 2 really rude staff members, the out come is that if I cannot provide physical proof that these lads ripped my paper then nothing is going to happen, it being left’ they were the only 2 people that had been inside my house, i know it was 100% them! And to try and cover it is so unprofessional!!

Wish i had read the reviews before entering the store. 2 afternoons taken off work @ a personal ££ cost, to wait in for the measurers to measure up the room. After calling the store on the 2nd failed visit, they knew there was a problem and they wouldnt be attending but 'had lost my phone number' and couldnt contact me, to advise this. The number was on the same sheet of paper with the address, so wondering how they would ever have been to come and measure ever.

Order cancelled and will not be returning

I’ve had a rubbish experience with these. They finished the bedroom & landing but told me they had no time to finish the stairs and they’d be back in the morning. They never turned up and every time I rang the shop they gave excuses for 2/3 days worth that I gave up trying with them. They also do the odd bodges like they left a chunk of carpet hanging out behind the airing cupboard door. And the lino they did for me was shocking round the edges. They are very polite lads but they aren’t professional in the slightest. No commutation between the shop and fitters either so customers have no idea what’s what.
I wouldn’t use these again.

Great products, great prices, excellent deliver options, bought one mattress, embed up buying to more for household members who all liked the first one so much

Although a delay due to transportation issue they did a first class job. Left with everything tidy so an easy clean up. First class job.

From the initial enquiry to the fitted product excellent customer service, fitted expertly, a lot of guidance and expert knowledge shown via estimator, also staff in store cannot be faulted, very pleased. Well done Melton Mowbray

Second time on purchasing a carpet wish we hadn’t bothered. The woman at the Melton store has no customer service skills what so ever. She is extremely rude. First time around got told unable to fit carpet only after I called to find out why they hadn’t arrived. Fobbed off completely and rude manor on the phone.
Now again waited all day to have the same conversation. I got told “we do things well I store but The fitters are a law unto themselves”. “Sometimes they turn up sometimes they don’t. “£700 on a carpet to be told this by the store you have brought it from. Utterly disgusted.

Avoid at all costs wish I hadn’t given them the benefit of the doubt.

three delayed measuring visits.then delay for the fitting arrived a week later only fitted the under scree and panels was told it may take a couple off days before they could return it took 10 days then only fitted the kitchen vinyl then next day just the hall and one bed will have to wait even though they are call the same and were booked and ordered the same
time the debris from the fitting all left and they left the doors off not at all happy

Just moved so we used United Carpets and beds before had excellent service both from Shop and fitters.
We had previous house completely carpeted through out good quality Carpets at reasonable prices

Absolutely shocking service at the Melton Mowbray branch, all the way through from arranging dates to measure up, dates to fit, dates to sort out the bad fitting. Totally disorganised, lost messages between them selves, didn't turn up when arranged. Shocking communication. Fitters turned up at 5pm Sat evening! Still waiting for job to be finished properly. Started the order in April!

The manager has a dreadful attitude, automatically goes into unpleasant defensive mode with the simplest of questions. Listens to conversations and then comments, a few lessons in courtesy wouldn’t go amiss.

Had wanted 3 rooms carpeted but as it took just over 3 weeks since i paid for it to be finally fitted and so delayed my moving into my new property really dont know if i should get other 2 done especially if it takes so long
