Very thorough to make sure your measurements are right they do it with you on zoom call. The quality of the shades and frames are excellent. Their website has easy to follow install videos and troubleshooting that makes it a breeze. Love the shades, first day slept longer in the morning.

A great product. I did research into many brands before deciding on UBlockout. I work shift work, so often sleep during the day. The other brands you'll see online are made cheaply, imported from out of the US, and have poor longevity and craftsmanship. None of those apply to this brand. Once installed, it took my room midday (with snow outside to boot), to literal pitch black darkness. You pay a little more for premium, but these are the shades for life. They're the best product that money can buy, and they will be worth every penny.

These work great, they really do block out 100% of the light. Installation was also easier than I had expected.

UBLOCKOUT is a KNOCKOUT. Seriously, I have had the best sleep I have ever had in my life. My wife loves it. My dog doesn't wake up. The videos were fantastic, and the installation was straightforward.

Wife and I researched black out shades for a while. We seen the reviews, pros and cons on all companies. Although they were a little more expensive we were very happy we went with UBlockout. After we placed our order we had a video conference to make sure the sizing was perfect. UBlockout really has superb customer service and shipping was very fast considering they are custom. Installation was relatively easy with there video tutorials. The shades are great, absolutely no light coming through and the quality is top notch. We would highly recommend UBlockout to anyone looking for black out shades.👍🏼👍🏼

we purchased and installed four blinds so far this year, and we are delighted. We got motorized top-down blackout shades for each window with the light grey shade color, and we absolutely made the right choice. These blinds had an immediate improvement in quality of life, from managing light during migraines, to adjusting light while we work from home, privacy at night, and even a little benefit of a little bit of temperature insulation at night. PLUS : installing blinds inside the window frame means we can see the beautiful wood trim from our recent remodel.From measurements to troubleshooting, customer service has been absolutely excellent. We cannot say enough great things about our experience. And a one-click experience to open and close multiple blinds is a luxury we're grateful to enjoy.

Ordering through the website was quick and easy. The video call measuring appointment was also quick and straightforward. Shipping was actually quicker than expected! The installation process and instructions were very easy to understand and it took my wife and I about 25 minutes. These really are absolute blackout, and they really do work, even with the sun shining directly on the window. There is a very small corner with some light leakage but the package came with some extra felt to use to help with that issue so we'll be using that soon. I can't imagine there's a product out there that's better than these blinds. The only question now is how long it will last, which will be the true test of quality.

I’m extremely happy with my blackout shades from Ublockout! They fit perfectly and arrived quickly. The quality is excellent. They block out every bit of light, not even the slightest leak. I work rotating shifts and sometimes need total darkness during the day, and these shades deliver exactly that. I’ve even noticed they seem to reduce outside noise a bit, which is a nice bonus even though they’re not meant for soundproofing. They were very pricey, but I feel they’re well worth the money. Highly recommend them if you’re serious about getting a truly dark room.

We purchased 4 UBlockout shades for our bedroom in our new home and we couldn't be happier. We opted for the remote-controlled shades and we oriented them to come down from top to bottom.

Our contractor installed them and he said they were easy to install, the instructions were clear, and programming the remote was straightforward. (You can program the remote on several different channels so that all shades come down at one time, or you can do several different combos on the remote channel to have only certain shades come down). He was so impressed with the shades that he hopes to eventually buy some for his own home.

We did the "guaranteed measurement" appointment via Zoom and it went well and was easy (we used a laser measurer). We've been using the shades since mid June 2025 and are just so impressed with how they really do block out all light. I've never slept better! It's one of those things that, once you get them, you wonder how you ever lived without it.

We open the shades only about 12 inches when we wake up and, after almost 4 months of daily use, we still haven't had to recharge the motors.

Are they pricey? Yes. Are they worth it? Also yes.

This is our seventh of eight Ublockout shades we have installed. This one was a little different because it is on the back door and there is a raised trim around the window that holds the glass inside the door. We were able to chat with a technician before we ordered to confirm our idea for a frame would work. We also took advantage of the measure guarantee to talk with a representative to get the exact measurements we needed. For the seventh time this entire process was OUTSTANDING. We received our shade very quickly and are now getting ready to measure for our final shade. The packing of the shade in the box was phenomenal, arrived with no damage to the shade. Instructions are precise and to the point, easy to follow. My insulation was fast and easy, it fit like a glove. Operation of shade is as promised easy and no light comes through.
