Wir haben in Mérida eine Tages HopOnHoppOff Tour gebucht.
Das war ein kompletter Reinfall.
Der Bus hat 45 Minuten länger mit der Abfahrt gebraucht und uns in der prallen Sonne warten lassen.
Als er losfuhr ging es 30 Minuten durch ein sehr langweiliges Wohngebiet, bevor es etwas interessanter wurde.
Erklärungen gab es nur auf spanischen in schlechter Qualität.
Die Krönung war dann, dass es KEINE Zwischenstopps gab und sich der Fahrer weigerte uns irgendwo raus zu lassen. Also kein HopOnHoppOff!!!
NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN!

This company can improve in every single way. They are the worst tour company I have ever experienced.
They do not have English speaking representatives. They do not provide even the least most adequate map as to the meeting point of their tour buses. Their employees are uncaring. It is not possible to speak to an actual human to clarify concerns or to discern meeting points, etc. DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY.

My experience with Turibus was pretty good. We book the trip in Polanco area for 16€/person for one day & as soon as reached the front desk in the meeting point, they printed our tickets, put on us the special paper bracelet and told us that we could do any other trip from the 4 different that they provide- even all - if we had the time and the mood to do in that specific day we had booked for. So, we caught the turibus -yellow line for Polanco , that actually was quite late on the meeting point , as we were there at 12:45 and it appeared at 14:00, and we circled the area in 50'. As soon as we came back to the meeting point and the trip was too short, we cought the bus for the historical center- red line- that we noticed that it passes very often , and started the tour for Zocalo and back ... And as soon as hotel was close to the neighborhood of Zona Rosa , we jumped off the bus at a stop it made close to our place. The only I could say to passengers to have in their minds is to have a jacket if the temperature of the weather is less than 20'C and be mind the trees' branches that sometimes can kick your head off, for those ones who have a seat on the top outdoor space of the bus. Turibus service is Recommended !

Bus did not show up at designated time. About 2 hours into waiting, we called them 4 times and no one picked up. We complained to Expedia who tried calling Turibus and didn't get through at least on two differentoccasions. We expressed the long wait and no show. We called Expedia again around 3 hours into waiting in 38 degree heat with humidity that we couldn'tcontinueto wait despite the ride duration is 2 hours. Expedia did nothing as it would impact their cut. Turibus would not issue a refund. Beware of a very poor bus service

Very good and reasonably priced service! Also have many local one day tours! Wish they had better English speaking support!

Prinzipiell bieten die Hop on/hop off-Busse natürlich immer eine gute Möglichkeit, eine neue Stadt zu entdecken. Ich habe in Mexico City zwei Tage für < 30 Euro gekauft. Das fand ich im Vergleich zu anderen Städten eher günstig.
ABER: ich habe das Ticket online über die Webseite gekauft. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass es direkt am Bus günstiger gewesen wäre.
Die App zeigt immerhin die echte Strecke auf der Karte aber leider gibt es kein Live-Tracking der Busse, obwohl das heute natürlich problemlos möglich wäre. Man sitzt also an der Haltestelle und das kann dann 3 Minuten oder 30 Minuten dauern. Die 30 Minuten wären ja nicht schlimm, wenn ich mir noch ein Eis oder ein Getränk kaufen könnte, aber so sitzt man einfach nur doof rum.
Die Sitze sind für größere oder korpulente Menschen sehr unbequem, da die Beinfreiheit zu knapp ist.
Und Audio-System sowie USB-Buchsen funktionieren an 2/3 der Plätze. Teilweise muss man nur richtig einstellen. Aber es ist tricky.
