I signed up on the free diffuser promotion and a month later I tried to cancel the subscription because it dries my daughter’s nose and the system said because I was still under the first month promotion I wasn’t able to cancel it. I tried the following month and it failed. They took money and I received a my monthly order of what I couldn’t use. I waited again and I went on to cancel the subscription, the system told me you will be charged full amount which I thought would be like the monthly they were taking and $78 was taken from my account just for cancelling subscription. Worst service ever!

Went to cancel subscription, worked through prompts, and was greeted with "We're sorry to see you go!" but the confirm button was greyed out for canceling.
Had to follow up with support twice to finally get a response and clearly they processed it on there end, during our chat, and told me "Oh, looks like you already canceled it!" When seconds before, I was looking at my account and it was still there.
Extremely shady, don't like to do business with companies that us conveniently placed "bugs" to deter cancelations.

I was SO excited to try Pura. I have used B&BW wallflowers for years but was recommended this by several friends. So I gave it a shot and signed up for the free set with 12 month subscription. I specifically chose the Pura Plus after doing some research as I wanted this for my very large open living space. When I received my order confirmation, it said I had ordered the Pura 4, which I have no use for. I immediately started a chat with customer service. I waited just a minute or two for someone to come on and greet me, but then it took a full 5 minutes for her to read over my “previous interactions” which consisted of me providing my email address and saying my order was the wrong item. She then asks for my email address, again. After waiting for a very long time again, she comes back and says it is too late to make any changes although I JUST submitted the order. I will then have to submit a return after receiving it. So even though it was their system error, and I contacted them immediately, I now have to spend my time and effort taking this in for a return and wait even longer for my new correct product. No thanks, I will be cancelling the subscription and going back to bath and body works. I will also not recommend Pura to anyone in the future. Horrible customer service, not what I would expect for a company like this.

The delivery company snapped a picture of the package they were allegedly delivering and they were not at my house nor any of my neighbor's, so the package with over $100 worth of vials is MIA. Pura refuses to do anything about it because "it was a carrier error". Pura's customer service is non-existent and they are completely unhelpful. Plus, half the time my units are offline anyhow. Save your money, Pura is a waste of time and energy.

Where to begin? Began my Pura journey in August of this year. Only for the SECOND MONTH of my subscription to be met with the worst customer service ever. Every scent loses potency within 1-2 weeks even though Pura swears it's a month. There is leftover oil/scent in the vials but the app continuously lets you know that there is not a lot of fragrance and to change the vials. October 2, 2025 - I paid for my new round of fragrances. Only for the order to still be unfulfilled. One agent told me a week prior my order would ship, and today Steph (another "helpful" agent) let me know that one of the vials are out of stock and the best they can do is refund my order and wait for my next subscription (which has the same out of stock fragrances allegedly) or continue to wait. If you try to get out of the subscription they charge you for all the fragrances that you paid for even though with the prices they charge it's robbery. I wish I went anywhere else but Pura. If this isn't enough you'll never be able to post a direct review unless it's 5-Stars and raving about them on their own personal website. Do yourself a favor and use Hotel Collection, Aroma360, or Aera.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Pura — both the Pura Plus and the Pura Car. The hardware is unreliable, the app is buggy, and the fragrance vials often arrive defective or inconsistent in scent quality. Between constant connection issues, random device errors, and poor customer support, the whole system has been more frustrating than it’s worth.
I really wanted to like the idea of Pura, but after multiple bad experiences, I can’t recommend it. Save your money and avoid the headaches.

I had a very frustrating experience with Pura. I signed up for a fragrance subscription that came with a "free" diffuser, but when I decided to cancel the subscription, I was unexpectedly charged $74.70 for the diffuser. Nowhere during the sign-up process was it clearly stated that canceling early would result in this charge. It felt misleading and like a bait-and-switch tactic. I would have never agreed to the offer had I known I’d be locked into a hidden commitment. Be cautious—this company relies on fine print to charge customers after cancellation. REFUND MY MONEY PURA - THIS IS A VERY SHADY PRACTICE!!!

I signed up for Pura’s subscription because of the ‘free diffuser’ promotion. The scents were far too strong and tacky for my taste, so I decided to cancel. What really frustrated me is that when I unsubscribed, the popup warned I’d be charged for the diffuser but didn’t show the amount. Only afterward did I learn it was $100.
The diffuser works fine, but the fragrances didn’t suit me and the subscription terms feel misleading. Customers deserve to see the exact charge upfront before canceling. Between the overpowering scents and unclear billing, this was a disappointing experience

Do not get involved with this company. I do NOT have a subscription and was just ordering off the website. You will never ever receive anything as promised. They use the shadiest company ever to “deliver” products. It will say delivery attempted and you can have a Ring doorbell showing it never ever was attempted. You cannot get in touch with anyone regarding it. No one at Pura and no one at the shady delivery service UniUni. It is a complete AI loop for both of them. You can reach out to Pura on social media and they will tell you to contact their customer service and not social media even though they pretend to try to help for their followers. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and do not get Pura. They should just sell the item at retail stores bc they have no idea how to fulfill orders, scammy billing and have zero customer service.

I attempted to use a promotion that stated it was active on Google. I clicked on the "continue with promotion" and it continued to say "free diffuser" through the entire process of choosing fragrances. When I got to the check out page, it changed and was going to charge me the full price. I took screenshots of the promotion, promotion dates and time stamp of screen shots (I was well within the promotion dates). I contacted Customer Support with these, requesting they honor the promotion that is advertised. They stated that was not a current promotion and "sorry for the inconvenience" (again, I double checked multiple times with the advertised promotion dates). They would not honor it at all. This lead me down a path of more reviews and from what I have read, I dodged a bullet with that, but am still unhappy that companies use false advertising to lure in new customers.
Update: the reply from Pura to my review is odd in that I had sent several emails with pictures showing the item was still in stock, the date the promotion was advertised and the entire process of me going through it. I do not have an order number as I did not complete the purchase as they were not honoring their promotion that was advertised. I would be happy to again show them the promotion screenshots, etc. Wondering how that will be different than the several emails I exchanged with Customer Support regarding this (which didn't resolve anything).
2nd Update: How would I have an order number if I did not complete the purchase? Email exchanges took place over 9/29-9/30/25, or I can reach back out again. I believe there was 6 back and forth emails.
I understand privacy, but there are other ways to resolve a complaint. It is more than just a level of frustration when listed promotions are not honored, it is false advertisement. Let me know who to reach out to and I will again be happy to provide screenshots, etc.

🚨 Stay Away From Pura Home Scents – Scammy Business Practices 🚨
I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience with Pura Home Scents has been beyond frustrating. This company charged me for a product that I NEVER received. On top of that, they sneakily sign you up for an automatic subscription that locks you in for a year without clear consent.
When I tried to cancel, they still continued charging my card. That’s theft, plain and simple. Customer service is useless, they either ignore complaints or act like you’re at fault. After doing some research, I realized I’m not the only one. A LOT of customers are unhappy and dealing with the same shady tactics.
This company is nothing but a money trap. They lure you in with nice advertising and then drain your bank account without delivering what you paid for. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind. Avoid Pura Home Scents at all costs.

Well - wish I would have read these reviews before buying so many units. My initial impression was positive - so I purchased more units throughout the condo. They never really covered the place very well. Gaps in scent coverage - even with six units running. Best ones were in small spaces like bathrooms. Scent vials exhaust quickly and the prices are grossly high. Plus - no way to refill yourself. Took them all out of my house after 3 months and replaced with a whole house hvac diffuser from Aromadd - wow - much better and covers my whole place. Better investment.

This company is a scam. They try to market it as a free diffuser and free fragrances and then they have you sign up for a year of subscription and then they try to charge you for the free things that they sent you. Would you pay for shipping on, so basically you don’t get anything free you just get scammed.

I'm starting to wonder about this company. I started a subscription a couple months ago and everything has been fine until this last order. Charged my card Sep 3 and its now Sep 15 with USPS still not showing in their system. No response from customer service. And I am supposed to buy 2 scents per month for a year? I understood it as 6 months worth of scent and my obligation would be complete. I'm at the point I'd like to be able to back out of this "deal" especially after reading the reviews here.

Extremely Poor Experience with Pura
I want to share my extremely disappointing experience with Pura.
First of all, the courier service used for delivery has proven to be highly incompetent. They failed to read the delivery instructions, which caused my diffuser to be delivered incorrectly, and I never received it.
It took a great deal of effort just to reach customer service.
I tried emailing—no response.
I tried calling—long hold times ending with an automated message promising a call back that never came.
I even tried the chat feature—only to be left stuck in the queue.
Eventually, Pura sent me a second diffuser, but once again the delivery service failed to follow instructions. I finally received the diffuser today, 09/15/25, even though I originally purchased it on 08/16/25.
To make matters worse, on 09/12/25 I attempted to cancel my subscription because I had not even received the diffuser and did not want to be billed for a refill scent ($21.00). Instead of honoring this, I was immediately charged $106.00 as a cancellation fee. I was told the only way to receive a refund was to reinstate the subscription—completely unreasonable.
Overall, this entire process has been frustrating, time-consuming, and unacceptable. Between the poor delivery service, unresponsive customer support, and unfair billing practices, I cannot recommend Pura. Honestly, you may want to consider alternatives like Scentsy—their oils are cheaper, and the customer experience is far less stressful.
