Missleading beanbag
I have bought a personalised bean bag that looked quite large in the website. The website had an option for next day delivery paying extra which I have paid for. The day after I got an email saying it would take 2 weeks to arrive missing my son's birthday.
Only when the bean bag finally arrived, I realised it is only suitable for children aged 2-5 years old. My son is 8 so I have no use for it. I contacted the costumer service and they implied it is my fault because they don't mentioned ages on their website. I could also not return it because it is personalised. I will not buy from this retailer ever again.

Dishonest store don’t buy from them
Dishonest store don’t buy from them. I went to buy a Christmas present for my son and wanted to use store credit that I have on the account. They claimed they wouldn’t be able to find it in my account and needed to present the gift voucher - even though when I got the store credit they specifically informed me that it will be in the account so I wouldn’t need to produce it. When I pressed for them to check they found it but then claimed that the credit has already been used! Sounds like lots of excuses to simply not honour their store credit. The only people who would be able to use it will be the staff. Completely dishonest behaviour and I could never buy anything from them anymore.

Avoid dealing with Trotters outside the UK
Beware of the increase in cost to ship your order outside the UK!
Very bad experience shipping a Trotters baby gift to Canada ; I had to pay an additional 35 % of my total order cost because of VAT and customs fees! In addition to the £20 DHL fee.
It was never communicated to me and I thought I got a refund for UK VAT.
Actually the goods prices displayed on the website are exempted of UK VAT ( children clothes, books…) which means you pay full VAT at the arrival (as you get no refund on your UK VAT)
Buying / shipping from Trotters internationally ( outside the UK) is simply not worth it. Horribly expensive.

Very slow to despatch
Ordered at 1am Tuesday they finally despatch Thursday afternoon, pretty much 3 days to put something in a box?
Then they blame Royal Mail for the delay.
Item still hasn't arrived, was a birthday present.
Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

Eden was absolutely amazing so professional and kind to my daughter definitely making it her regular hair salon. Unpaid labour
I applied for a job here, coming across from 5 years in a flagship London store of a luxury retailer. They still wanted me to do a day of unpaid work as a “trial”. I did so, working extremely hard in the busy store on a Saturday… only to get given a generic “no, thanks”. No feedback, no reason, no suggestions. There were two others on the same day, also on trial, who also got a ‘no’. I think they just wanted some extra coverage for a busy weekend.
I would hate to think what goes on elsewhere in the company that we don’t get to see. For that reason, I will never again shop here for my children.

terrible quality.
The delivery and items are nice but the quality is not good. I’ve had two jumpers that developed a fault. One wool jumper developed a hole and I was given a refund and another cotton knit started to come apart despite only being worn a few times but it was outside the refund policy. I don’t think their clothes last and they’re not very sustainable.

I never had cause to rate this company bad before. I love there items. But this recent order, there were a couple of issues. 1. They sent the wrong size I ordered. 2. I bought the next size up on a dress I wanted my daughter to wear to an event the first weekend of December. When she tried on the dress, the neckline was so narrow it was choking her if I button it up. I went to their website but somewhere there was an issue with contacting them. Contacted their IG and they gave me the CS email. Reached out. They said they need pictures. Sent pictures. Been a week. Nothing. And they have not even addressed the wrong size/item sent.
To return an item, they will have you pay for shipping from the US to the UK. If this was a “change your mind” issue, that would be fine. But these are their issues. They need to address it.

My number one stop for children clothes, the BEST customer service and I believe you can tell alot about a company by their customer service. I had a very small issue which was not even an issue but dealt with so professionally. I will continue to shop with Trotters for many years to come and always recommend. 5 stars!

Harrasing the baby by switching on and off the shaving machine
The worse ‘first hair shave’ 🪒 experience. The person who was harrasing the baby with the shaving machine. (Baby is 14 months old.)
I had an appointment with Kings Road and as soon as the baby and her nany entered instead of greeting they told them that I was not there but, according to the nany the women (I think her name is Anna from Italy) was turning on and off the machine to harrast the baby while waiting for me. Getting the machine closer to the baby’s head and switch non and off. And keep telling I need to go.
This is the most disgusting experience I have ever had. When I arrived the baby was crying in the chair.

I visit Kensigton high Street very bad…
I visit Kensigton high Street very bad customer service the have trust issue I bought 3 shoes and toys and lollipops the whole I’m paying the ask me 4 times if I saw the second pair off the shoes and the lady she’s been after us all the time as I’m thieves I spend £125 but the team there very bad as the ask if I paid for one extra lollipop I told the staff I will never take anything whit out payment the should look in the person haw looks the don’t care about client or service everyone the treat the client in very bad and the don’t what the do

Have bought several items for my grand…
Have bought several items for my grand daughter from here online, especially the hair bows which are good quality and made to last.
Ordered her shoes too and mum was thrilled as was my little grand daughter.
Lovely range of colours great for special occasions and well made even offering a measuring service, for shoes. During the pandemic we ordered a shoe gauge which came promptly and was useful for ordering online.
Lovely packaging great service and quality products. Shall return.
