We have just booked a family holiday to India in December 2026 with Emily from Travel Nation.
It's our first experience of using Travel Nation and we've been very happy with the service.
Emily quickly understood our requirements which were complicated and gave us good options for travel and accommodation.
From first enquiry to booking it's been a smooth and quick process!
We are very happy to recommend Travel Nation and especially Emily!

To sum the whole three weeks up:

Vancouver - the Wedgewood Hotel and Spa was brilliant and we did the trip to Whistler, Squamish, and Capilano Park before heading off to Vancouver Island. The gondolas at Whistler and Blackcomb are definitely worth doing if people ask for a recommendation especially the Peak to Peak gondola which goes between them, and is the longest unsupported gondola span in the world.

Vancouver Island - Tofino was really lovely and reminded us both of Kaikoura. The bear and whale watching trips were great and, unlike Kaikoura, we actually got to see coastal brown bears, bald eagles, a bloom of jellyfish (very rare apparently), sea otters, seals, grey whales, a humpback whale, and a colony of sea lions. We also found two really good restaurants in Tofino that we would recommend to other travellers: Wolf in the Fog, and Ombre - they're sister restaurants - both were great and pretty good value for money. Also, the drive to Tofino from Nainamo was, once you get off the initial motorway stretch, absolutely stunning.

Vancouver - the Hyatt Regency has been refurbished recently and was fantastic even though it was only for the one night.

Rocky Mountaineer - a bucket list must do and worth every penny. At first neither of us were convinced that being offered alcohol at 9.30am was a good idea, but we got over that pretty quickly! Not one for the youngsters though as pretty much everyone on the train was well over the age of 50.

Jasper - the Alpine Village is lovely and they were so grateful for us staying there as, in their own words, it really helps them with the rebuilding process after the 2024 fire. The raft float was also great although there is a certain sadness in seeing all the burnt trees despite that fact that the ground foliage is now growing back. The drive to Lake Louise also made us realise what a huge area the fire consumed and how truly devastating it was for the town and the community; sending people there helps both financially and psychologically.

Icefield Parkway - apparently one of the 10 best drives in the world and I can understand why. The views are just stunning the whole way down (including the drive from Lake Louise to Banff during which I had to swerve to avoid a black bear that wandered onto the hard shoulder!). The Columbia Icefield Glacier experience was amazing too.

Lake Louise - the Fairmont Chateau - WOW!!!!! A proper blowout and thanks for getting us a Lakeview room. We could hardly believe the view the moment we pulled the curtains and spent an awful lot of time just looking out of the window! The Yoho and Kootenay tour was really good as well.

Banff - the Juniper Hotel was lovely and relaxed and we benefitted from being away from the town centre which is always pretty busy. We had brunch at the Banff Springs golf club before stopping off at the Bow Falls on the Friday, spent the Saturday visiting the three museums in town (the most interesting of which was the Buffalo Nations Museum with all the indigenous tribes history and way of life), and then drove up to a couple of the nearby lakes (including Minnewanka) on the Sunday.

Toronto - Sutton Place was also really lovely and not dissimilar to the Wedgewood Hotel. The Niagara Falls tour was another WOW day and then we had a blowout lunch at the CN Tower (360 revolving restaurant) as an end of holiday treat. The food was fantastic and we paid an extra $15 each to have a table for two by the window which was again worth every penny. We'd highly recommend you advise anyone else thinking of eating there to spend the extra money.

So all in all another amazing trip. If you want to talk through anything in a bit more detail, especially if you think it would help inform your recommendations to other travellers, we'd be happy to give you the benefit of our experience.

My husband and I want to thank Gray Baker at Travel Nation for another fab holiday. We returned to this agent for our recent Australia trip following a fantastic one they arranged for us in New Zealand. I can’t recommend them enough for their ability to respond to our personal preferences in delivering high quality, stress free and extraordinary travel experiences. We have felt properly supported in every aspect and their wide-ranging knowledge of so many wonderful destinations is unmatched by other travel agents we’ve used before. We’ve only been back 2 weeks and have already asked him to put together a family trip to India next year.

We were planning a bucket list "Round the World" holiday. We spoke with 2 other travel agents but Marie at Travel Nation reached out on several occasions to arrange online meetings discussing our likes/dislikes, preferences for places to go and things to do and then walked us through the itinerary.

Marie was there throughout the planning process, we made changes as we went and were able to track everything online. She really listened and acted on our wishes as well as bringing her own ideas and expertise to enhance the overall holiday.

Most importantly, Marie worked within our budget and remained in close contact once everything was booked right up to a review on our return.

The app helped us track everything whilst we were away.

I normally book all my holidays online without the use of a travel agent - I may have just changed my mind. Planning a trip to Sri Lanka and Maldives for next year was a total pleasure with Shaye. After she collected all our likes and dislikes she compiled a trip of a lifetime catering for all the changes we asked for with speed and efficiency and maintaining a budget. What I really liked is that we have an itinerary that includes activities we would never have considered doing and in places a little less well known, especially in Sri Lanka.
Shaye was responsive, knowledgable and we're both looking forward to what I'm sure will be a most memorable trip,

Lodges were all lovely but by far the favourite was Singita Ebony. The best place I’ve ever stayed at. Pathways lit by hundreds of hand lit oil lamps! Impeccable service.
Motswiri lodge in Madikwe reserve had the most wonderful food and a watering hole that we loved. 15 elephants there on one occasion.
Animal sightings were wonderful, dogs eating an impala when hyenas turn up and fight for the carcass, hyena suckling 2 babies, lion cubs eating wilder beast carcass, another different pride suckling 4 month old cubs and the most exciting of all being charged by a 3 ton rhino.. 100 yards truck in reverse, then a quick turn and it still charged another 100 yards as we drove forwards. Not one photo of that we were hanging on for dear life!!
The tree house (Ngala) was a lovely finale especially as it was our 50 th anniversary. Got there just in time for sunset . Too cold and damp to sleep on the top but we were cosy on level 3 with electric blankets! Thought the structure was part of a tree but there’s no tree involved. It’s just a structure amongst the trees. The isolation was lovely being 15 minutes from the lodge (Ngala Tree House)

Marie from travel nation put our trip together from start to finish . It was absolutely amazing . Marie kept in contact from the time we booked until the time we went she was amazing .
Sanfransico was our first stop with 2 trips organised by her (golden gate bridge & alcatraz)both were fab
A stop over in Tahiti then on to morea which was fab .
Final destination bora bora it was insane from the scenery from the air to the welcom we got at la pearl bora bora . Hotel was incredible couldn't have picked a better one .
Were now sad to be back but hopefully one day we will return .

Very well organised. All trip details clear on the Travel Nation app, flights, accommodation, directions, itinerary, places of interest, vouchers etc.

We made a last minute booking to Ecuador and Galapagos for our Journey from the UK to New Zealand.
Grainne and the rest of the team at Travel Nation made everything so easy, organising the flights, finding hotels, arranging for guides and drivers, arranging day trips and providing access to a local agent in Ecuador to assist us whilst there, all from only a few minutes on the phone.
The service was outstanding. When last minute glitches hit (which were totally out of the control of Travel Nation) they sprang to action and very quickly found good alternatives.
All in all it was an amazing service and an amazing trip.

Using the travel Nations App holding all round our the world trip info in one place was a dream. Made the journeys connection easy.

Just returned from a Canada trip organised by Nikki Clarke at Travel Nation. Great suggestions / organisation of hotels and activities and Nikki has great insights about all the options of things to see and do. The TN app is also really good and very user friendly. We also had a really good experience when TN organised our trip to Australia a couple of years ago. So if you need help to plan a holiday, give Nikki a call.

Natalie has been brilliant helping us to arrange our 6 week round the world trip. She has been so patient, even when we decided to bring our trip forward by 6 months. Her knowledge is excellent and she made some great suggestions when putting our itinerary together. Communication throughout have been clear and concise. Travel Nation have always given first class service from start to finish. All the staff are quick to respond to enquiries and if needed, adapt requests wherever possible. Documentation is easily accessible and easy to understand. We have experienced exceptional out of hours service when we needed support following flight cancellations. We only wish we had found them sooner.

Scott from Travel Nation helped plan our trip to Mauritius from start to finish. After listening intently to our preferences he put together an itinerary for us - which, after working with us was absolutely perfect. The hotels he booked were top class and met all our expectations. The app provided was great help, and everything (transfers/car hire etc) booked was delivered as expected. I will have no hesitation in using Travel Nation again.

I have dealt with Mark at Travel Nation for a number of years now when organising my annual football trip to the USA. Mark at Travel Nation provided us with an exceptional service. Getting 25 people from the UK to Dubai for an International 7s event. He understood the requirements and got us the best deal out there. Even more impressive was the fact we had multiple different return dates and had to make changes leading up to departure. If you have a large group and need quality service I can not recommend Mark and Travel Nation highly enough.

When offered the opportunity to visit Japan and take the family I was a bit overwhelmed with what to see, where to stay and how to organise it all.

Gray at Travel Nation was fabulous, planning the whole visit for us, starting from an initial conversation on when, how long for and on what budget, through to the final itinerary, always happy to chat through options, discuss concerns and help advise on any issues.

When we got all the final travel information packs through, a few weeks before departure, everything was clear, with detailed maps on how to get to each hotel from the nearest station and all the info we needed. The full itinerary set out for each day and lots of bonus information. All train tickets were ready at our first hotel along with a portable wifi device.

All the planning handled by Gray and Travel Nation, meant I could spend the time relaxing and enjoying the holiday and not worrying about the next step in the journey.
