We went to the Elstree branch. we have been there several times not brilliant but just about acceptable usually very tough beef but this time they ran out of all the sauces and the service was amazingly slow by a lady who couldn't even smile or show us any type of welcome.

Half lights in there was flashing on and off really annoying at 9.30 in a morning. Me my fella nd 2 kids age 12 n 7 went for breakfast cost 40 quid all in not too bad... but the food was barely warm not much to choose from no choice for spread on toast just butter are marmalade.the staff looked half asleep she picked 4 cups up to give me for my refill cup of tea each one filthy not washed right. Will not be coming back worst place iv been for breakfast ended up with sosauge and beans 🤬

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Toby Carvery White Webbs today.
I visited with my family, including my six-year-old niece, and unfortunately the experience was ruined by the extremely poor customer service and attitude of the staff. We encountered problems while waiting in the queue, and instead of receiving help or even basic courtesy, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of interest from the staff.
The waitresses and serving staff appeared completely uninterested in helping customers. There was no sense of hospitality, patience, or willingness to resolve the issues we were experiencing. The way customers were treated was particularly disappointing, especially when families and young children were present.
A restaurant should make customers feel welcome, respected and looked after. Sadly, we experienced the complete opposite. The staff's attitude made what should have been a pleasant family meal into a very stressful and unpleasant experience.
I have never experienced such a poor level of hospitality at a Toby Carvery. The behaviour of the staff was unacceptable, and the management needs to seriously address the way customers are being treated.
I would strongly recommend that management review what happened today, speak to the staff involved, and take the necessary steps to improve both customer service and the overall attitude of the team. Customers should not have to put up with rude, dismissive and unhelpful treatment after choosing to spend their money at your restaurant.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, and based on today's visit, I would not recommend this Toby Carvery to other families.

The last time I visited I said it would be the last but ever the optimist I returned again this evening. I wasn’t disappointed in so much as my expectations were already low. Arriving at the appointed time the table was not ready. We were given a pager and waited, for not to long in all fairness. The restaurant seemed as chaotic as on previous visits however the manager seemed to have lowered the bar given his unconventional attire for his position; sack of **** tied up with string seems appropriate. As usual the food queue was long and the food disappointing. No gammon, no sprouts, lukewarm cauliflower, tasteless cabbage, stuffing that could substitute for road chippings. The chefs and I use the term loosely were utterly unengaged with their customers and the waiting on staff run off their feet. A thoroughly disappointing experience that I have made a mental note never to repeat.

Booked a table at the Arrowe Park toby on the Wirral for 5.55 to be told when i got there with my 2 daughters by such a arrogant man that the app wasnt working so anything booked after 5 didnt matter and he didnt have a table for us at all. Not a mention of im sorry and ill sort u 1 out as soon as i can just no bug mustake and nothing. This man shouldnt be front of house Anywhere. Dont go

Really disappointed. Always got a takeaway roast. Recently changed self serve takeaway to a takeaway made for you. Got home and it was shocking 3 roasters for an adult meal! Small pot of gravy for child meal adult and large! Disgusting! lumpy overly thick gravy. Small pot only covered large meals roasters and veg! We will never go there again. The high price was justified by self service value for money. Veg was peas carrots and cauliflower only very bland and basic! Did not enjoy meal one bit! Can’t go to Toby as my parents are not able to travel this was our Sunday treat and always enjoyed it. Never paying for Toby again due to their greed and taking self service away when they change high prices! Recommend to never take way what you are given is awful and gravy is small portions! Toby squeezing every penny they can and ruining experience but providing a really crap basic bare minimum meal! No self serve takeaway trying to rip people off and make every penny they can by skimping in every way possible! Awful I am disgusted with portion and very basic veg and not a lot of anything at all

The Watergate, Over Hulton, Bolton. Everything except the meat was over cooked. We searched through two trays of roast potatoes for any that were not well and truly crusty, we failed to find any! There was a distinct lack of variety in the veg and the cauliflower was soggy. The Yorkshire pudding was a burnt crisp, that snapped in half and was inedible. Dessert, Chocolate Fudge cake was warm to the point of hot and the very artificial ice cream with it came in a plastic cap that was no more than a dessert spoon in size. Staff were lovely but wont be going again. We had gone for a birthday meal and it was awful.

Only down side on a busy road so not great for outside use really .The Toby on the seafront in Souttend is good for sitting by the sea.

Cooper Dean Bournemouth Toby Carvery customer service was appalling with rude, abrupt and argumentative staff and management (Heather). Also food choices are deteriorating with dried offerings and no parsnips, brocoli, swede or sprouts. Hard peas with roast potatoes being hit & miss. It is no longer a enjoyable traditional home if the British Roast. Shame it used to be good. Formal complaint submitted to the head office but no hope for the complaint to be heard.

I was very happy with who severed me and he was very smiley kind on arrival highly recommend.

Absolutely terrible fatty meat and barely and choice - however the waitress Claire saved the day and was an absolute asset to the company, dealt with the complaint efficiently and with respect and a smile. Shame the food isn’t as good as her service.

Absolutely disgusting we went to Toby carvery MORECAMBE on Thursday 23rd July at 6pm they only had pork and ham available my friend and I got the fatty scrag end of the ham my husband got pork there was no apple sauce we were told they had run out of beef due to a promotion earlier in the day but the turkey would be 20 mins as we all wanted to eat together. My friends and my ham was extremely fatty but my husband’s pork was diabolical it was tough fatty and couldn’t be cut I have complained to Toby why dissed my complaint but I wanted fellow guests to know our terrible experience I was going to add a photo but it won’t let me but believe me it was absolutely disgusting

This evening we visited the horror show that is Toby Carvery in Emerson Road, Washington. The selection of roast meats had virtually gone except for the turkey and the serving area was a mess. The cooked vegetables area looked as though an army had marched through it and no attempt was being made to clean or clear it up.
My cheese, potato and leek pie sat on the server for a butcher minutes while a large group queuing ahead of us worked their way through the airport security style roped maze.
My pie consisted mainly of soggy pastry with no identifiable contents. The roast potatoes were overcooked and cold, as were the parsnips and onions. The dauphinoise potato/sweet potato combo was undercooked. The stuffing piece was a combination of over and uncooked. All in all a horrible experience.
The manager gave us a discount of £7.50 against two £13.29 meals. The waitress apologised but it wasn’t her fault, it was the “chef’s”.
Avoid.

Our Server was Steven. Lovely and friendly. Food was good as usual.

Went to Toby Carvery quite late. Apologies from-( I think her name was) Tracy- she was very nice and professional and apologised as there was only gammon- she had tried to contact me to let me know beforehand. We decided to have our meal as it was getting late even though we aren’t fans of gammon.
We were served at the carvery by a lovely chef/server named Jo- she was so nice and went above and beyond. Offered us Yorkshire and sausages of which we accepted- when we declined the gammon more sausages were offered - and accepted gratefully. Thank you for making our night - it’s one of the tastiest Carverys we’ve had - the sausages and Yorkshire were amazing and the veg and potato piping hot.
The waitress was also so pleasant and even though late didn’t push us away and rush us out of the door. She even offered us pudding of which we declined (as we were so full) but she stated that if we changed our minds to let her know.
All in all an amazing night - thank you so much.

Very disgusting blue bottle Fly's all around people food made food off putting

We went into the Trentham Village branch this evening and had a great meal. The highlight of the visit was the waiter who was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his name but he is a great credit to the company. Well done!

Awful. Firsly i didnt get my drink till i asked for it again. Then the food,well where do you start. The lamb was tough some of it i couldnt het a knife through. The mash was so dry i didnt even want it on the plate. All the veg was dry, obviously been there hours. There was no stuffing and no cauliflower cheese. I was told i would be brought a bowl out,this didnt materialise till i found someone to ask for it,when it did the cheese was almost non existant. The gravy was kumoy and conjealed, and not very warm, and there was no mint sauce. Really poor quality food and service. Would not go back.

Very disappointed, Carlisle I booked a table for 7.30 for 4 people for my daughter's leaving meal, got here only to be told kitchen closes at 8 for staff meeting, I never once got a message or anything to say this or I would of re booked, we came from Workington, felt rushed and didn't enjoy the meal at all, couldn't get any drinks or desert
