I ordered a gift box and message card with my purchase online, when it arrived there was no gift box or message car. First and last time I ever purchase from The White Comp. So disappointing.

Journeyed specifically to the Hampstead store yesterday to buy an item I'd seen online. When I arrived during normal hours, I was told the store was closed for an event in the evening. I can't understand why that would preclude shopping before the event- the staff were just standing and chatting and not preparing for the event. I emailed customer service and got a prewritten AI response telling me what the opening hours were. Totally shocking. I was there in the opening hours and your store was closed. Your a premium company and you can't respond to customer's concerns.

I used to love The White Company and have spent thousands with them over the years. I ordered my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday gifts on Monday and paid for first-class delivery. By Friday morning, her birthday, I was on the phone crying because they still hadn’t arrived. I was organising her big party too, so this added so much unnecessary stress.

The parcel finally arrived that afternoon, but the diffuser was broken and oil had spilled onto my tracksuit. More calls, emails and hassle followed.

They refunded the delivery, but after all that, a £20 voucher felt insulting. I certainly didn’t feel like spending more money with them. Really disappointing from a shop I used to love.

I am 80 years old and find shopping online quite stressful. However White Company have a website that is easy to use and if I do get into difficulties they are happy to help over the phone

I wanted to give 5 stars, for the gorgeous clothes and the great customer service staff. What lets them down a bit is the order admin.Eg I called customer service cause Royal Mail tracking showed my order for a jumper had the same status for THREE DAYS - waiting for the retailer. The customer service guy was lovely but advised me to re-order cause “looks like we haven't even despatched your order”. He promised a refund within 5 days. But in fact, both orders arrived eventually. So i was out £100 for longer, and had to return one of the orders. Also, the tracking link was on emails, but the tracking number was missing on 3 emails, so i couldnt track those orders.

Finding the perfect candle for my order was easy. The ordering experience and delivery information was helpful and I would definitely order online again if I'm unable to get to one of your stores.

Beautifully and well packaged items as they usually are. My issue is one that I’m sure a number of people who purchase Jellycat from your website will have.

Jellycat are collectors items as well as toys. People want to keep the tags in pristine condition. I’ve ordered loads for myself, my family and friends. This issue is the sticker you put on every Jellycat tag - it’s impossible to remove without leaving any trace, in fact it’s impossible to remove full stop. I’ve had this with each and every item I’ve ordered from you for over a year. No other major retailer (nor independent) does this - why are you? They use small stickers eg Selfridges, Fenwick, Harrods that it’s easy to peel and remove without a trace.

I’ve spent a lot of money with TWC on Jellycat this last year, I’m going to have to purchase elsewhere if you can’t give me a solution to this issue.

Can I phone up after I’ve made an order to ask that these aren’t added onto the plushies that I’ve ordered?

Such a shame, I love the White Company and really want to keep buying Jellycat from you. I suspect I’m not the only person who is complaining/has complained, it’s equally as bad when you buy something else and want to remove the price tag. My daughter is a Product Developer and has told me there’s no good reason for using such labels (there are much better alternatives), especially when so many people buy from yourselves to gift

What’s the solution?

UPDATE - no one has contacted me despite the follow up message below. I phoned Customer Services and did speak to someone about it, there’s no solution as yet. If you are buying Jellycat and want to ensure it’s easy to remove the sticky label from the Jellycat tag it won’t be fyi. I did suggest that someone who manages this should try themselves so they understand exactly what the problem is.

Given Jordana appears to have written follow up comments today is that an AI response or a real person? Perhaps employ someone who does what they say they’ve done in response to the review instead of trying to brush it under the carpet, I’ve removed a star on that basis
