Finally a good in depth course for a…

Finally a good in depth course for a fair price, where you can ask questions and join a live NY trading session multiple times per week. Finding great results and getting moulded into a professional trader, not only the theoretics and strategies but also building confidence and accuracy by executing based on data. Worth the money FOR SURE!

I also signed up for this service and…

I also signed up for this service and paid for life time membership for over $500 US. I never got a link to the service. I sent 3 email on the site thesimplifiedtrader.com and received no response. There is not contact info listed on the website so I had to do a whois to find out how to contact them. I received an email back that said if I did not get to let them know.. I did and never heard back form them. I filed dispute with my cc company and was denied because the the site said no refunds. Then later i was told by thesimplifiedtrader.com a guy named Morne, that becaused I filed a dispute and it was denied I would be NOT given access to the site and he would just keep my money. This is such a scam I have no words.. MY advice is just STAY AWAY!!!

We take customer feedback seriously and would like to clarify the facts for transparency.
Upon purchase, access instructions are automatically sent to the email address provided at checkout. In this case, the onboarding email was successfully delivered and later confirmed to have been routed to the customer’s spam folder. Unfortunately, instead of first checking spam or following up through our clearly listed support channels, the customer immediately filed a charge dispute with their bank.
Once a charge dispute is opened, the transaction is legally placed under review by the payment processor. During an active dispute, access cannot be granted or modified, as the matter is no longer handled directly by us. This is standard practice across digital services.
Despite the dispute ultimately being resolved by the bank, the customer continued to demand access after initiating a process that explicitly blocks fulfillment. Our policies clearly state that disputes void access due to fraud and chargeback risk, which protects both our platform and our existing members.
We operate transparently and have over 25 verified 5-star reviews on Whop from active members who receive daily live trading sessions, education, and support as advertised. We strongly encourage prospective customers to review those verified experiences rather than isolated situations where procedures were not followed.
We remain committed to professionalism, fairness, and protecting the integrity of our community.

Payment Taken, No Access Provided, Then Access & Refund Withheld

I purchased a trading service from The Simplified Trader, which advertised daily live trading sessions and ongoing guidance.

What actually happened:

Payment of $518.80 USD was processed successfully.

I received no onboarding email, no access details, and no clear instructions

There was no visible support email on the website, forcing me to locate contact details via a WHOIS lookup .

After receiving no service and no response, I contacted my credit card company. The dispute was declined due to it being a digital purchase.

Only after I escalated the issue did I finally receive a reply. I was then told that: Because I filed a dispute, access would not be granted and a refund would also not be issued.

This puts the customer in an impossible position:

# No service delivered
# No refund
# Access permanently withheld

Regardless of internal policies, withholding both access and refund after payment is not acceptable. I am sharing this review to document my experience and warn others to be extremely cautious.

If access is properly delivered or a refund is issued, I will update this review.

We take feedback seriously, however this review omits key facts and presents a misleading version of events.

The customer did not contact our support team or use the clearly listed Support section on our website before initiating a charge dispute with their bank. No ticket, email, or request for assistance was received prior to the dispute being filed.

Our onboarding process provides immediate access to the platform upon successful payment, along with clear instructions. Support details are publicly available on the website and within the member area. At no point was the customer prevented from reaching out through the proper channels.

By choosing to immediately file a payment dispute instead of requesting support, the customer violated our Terms of Service. As clearly stated in our policies, active charge disputes automatically suspend access and void eligibility for refunds.

This is standard practice for digital services to protect against fraud and abuse.

To clarify:
Access was not withheld arbitrarily
A refund was not denied unfairly

The outcome was the direct result of initiating a charge dispute without attempting resolution

We responded as soon as the dispute came to our attention and explained the policy transparently. The “impossible position” described here was self-created by bypassing support and escalating straight to a bank dispute.

We remain open to resolving issues professionally when customers follow the correct process. Unfortunately, once a dispute is filed, our policies apply equally to all members.

We stand by our service, our community, and our clearly stated terms.

Very satisfactory

Overall, I think Mourne's strategy is very sound and logical. I know it's hard to accommodate questions if you have a lot of learners trying to learn with you. I just wish he has more time to teach each day. Thank you!

Unreliable and Not Trustworthy Trading Service for monthly and life time subscribers

This is the first ever review I write in my life, Normally I am not even bothered but in this case I had to because I wanted to warn potential new and existing subscribers.

I initially subscribed with a monthly subscription to test out the service. As I wanted to give myself and Morne van Staden the owner of "www,thesimlifiedtrader.com" and its service a chance I transferred to his lifetime membership on 21.05.2025. I also made him aware via private message on his discord platform. Back then this lifetime membership was offered for 600 USD which now has been increased to 1297 USD,

In August 2025, Morne decided to go on holiday for a full month of which he has informed the members via his discord platform. Many of us where stunned and not pleased. (N.B I am not sure if all the monthly subscribers have actually received a refund for the month of August as there was no service provided by him but as I have had some private contacts with other members nobody told me that they had been refunded. This was the first warning sign that this is not how one should treat his customers.

On 23.08.2025 I then realised that I have been charged for 3 more month (June, July, August) on the monthly plan despite me making him aware that I had signed on the lifetime plan service via paypal and was told that I am being transferred over. His first response to my request was on 23.09.2025 ( one month later!).

After several weeks of no response I provided him with my paypal transaction ID's on October 7th for the months overcharged. I also referred to my initial message from 21.05 where I informed him of my lifetime switch. Morne on the 20th of October responded that I should send him a Paypal.Me link upon which he provided me with a refund for one month subscription but not for the other 2 months.

Today on 27.10 I wanted to contact him again to remind him of the last 2 outstanding payments which would have been 240 USD. All of a sudden my access to his discord channel is gone as well as my ability to direct message him. I am now blocked.

So not only do I not get my 240 USD back that was overcharged but also my supposed life time access has been revoked.

I am not a lawyer but I believe everyone who reads this might know what this kind of activity can be called! For anyone out there who is still wondering, I have made print screens from my conversation

Be careful signing up to lifetime services in general. I am not telling you what to do but be mindful of what I have stated.

PS: Morne (the simplifiedtrader) claims that his main trading model (SF model) has a win rate of more than 60 percent but has never shown any proof or indeed if he is profitable nor has he provided links in which one can see anonymous tradestats that can be tracked such as Forex Factory.

Update 14.02.2026 ... One Star (zero if I could)

As I cannot respond to Morne van Stadens response I will try doing it this way.

Regarding his point of the Simplified Trader not being a signal service (first paragraph)....this has not been contested by me.

Regarding Lifetime Membership and Pricing (second paragraph) I understand that service and content might have been expanded. I have never contested this either. I merely highlighted that prices doubled within a short time frame and that my access was revoked despite never breaching guidelines. Thus one pays for a lifetime service (more money) but then cannot use it.

Regarding holiday period. Yes you stated that you would go on holiday on discord (again I never contested this but actually mentioned this in my review above! Please read carefully before you respond. Nevertheless nowhere does it state on your website that you would go on an announced one month holiday when signing up. Secondly this one month holiday became actually 1.5 months and I have discord conversations from other members sharing their disappointment!

Regarding Billing and refunds.
you only compensated me for one month but I have clear proof that I have shown you 3 months of overpayments with paypal transactions ID's.

Regarding your Access to the community paragraph....I would like you to show me where I have gone against guidelines. I have been courteous and patient on so many levels, I have actual print screens in which I almost begged you for my refund on payments that you have received twice from me. My girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer and could not work. Every bit of money was important. I have been patiently waiting for you and showed you transaction proof. All I wanted was your decency to refund my overpayments.

Regarding trading performance claims.... I only stated reality. On discord you stated that the SF model has a 60% win rate, but you have never shown it. I never asked you to proof it. This is just an observation. Everybody can take his own thoughts from this

The Simplified Trader is a mentorship, not a signal service, not a “hands-off” investment, and not a product where results are spoon-fed. Success in our program requires discipline, effort, and personal accountability.

Regarding the points raised:
Lifetime Membership & Pricing
Lifetime access pricing has changed over time as the program, infrastructure, live sessions, and educational material have expanded. This is clearly communicated before purchase and applies to new members only. Existing lifetime members retain the access they paid for.

Holiday Period
Members were informed in advance via Discord of a scheduled break. This is a mentorship run by a real professional trader, not an automated service. Educational material, recordings, and community access remained available during this period.

Billing & Refunds
When billing discrepancies are raised, they are investigated and handled manually. In this case, a refund was issued after verification. Additional claims were disputed due to incomplete or inconsistent information and failure to follow the required support process.

Access to the community is governed by clear rules. Repeated violations, harassment, or bad-faith conduct result in removal, regardless of membership type.

Access Revocation
No member is removed for asking genuine questions. Access is revoked only when community rules are breached or when interactions become abusive, threatening, or disruptive to other members.

Trading Performance Claims
We do not sell guarantees. We do not promise profits. We do not claim trading is easy.
Win-rate statistics are model-based and context-dependent and are demonstrated live during sessions. Members are encouraged to journal, track, and validate their own performance rather than rely on third-party leaderboards or external websites.

The concepts and strategy material are…

The concepts and strategy material are great! But the mentor is not that active for NY traders and takes quite a bit of time answering the questions of the students. I've seen some questions take days to get answers and some don't get answered at all. I've asked at least a couple questions and neither were answered. I wouldn't call this a mentorship honestly. It's a trading course with a discord channel. I will say he does drop an analysis daily on what he's looking at and seems to go live during London. If you are a NY trader I would say this really isn't the group for you. If you're a London trader, this is your group. I've been in this group for over a month. I will not be renewing my membership. This is my honest review.

This is a post to his late response to something I posted almost a month ago. There's a reason there's only 2 reviews here and both are from bad experiences with the group. You can even check some of the responses on whop about it. The guy went on a vacation during the mentorship but was still charging people in the group like he was present. Maybe things have changed over the last few months but I'm speaking from my experience when I was there.

Live Trading Sessions
The Simplified Trader trades the New York session live, not the London session. This is clearly communicated prior to joining and is reflected in our daily live sessions, recordings, and posted execution windows. Any suggestion that London is our primary session is inaccurate.

Mentorship & Question Responses
This is a mentorship with a defined support structure, not an unstructured chat room. There is a clear and documented system for asking questions in order to receive priority responses. This system exists to ensure quality, relevance, and fairness for all members.

Questions that do not follow this process may take longer to be addressed or may not be prioritised, especially if they are repetitive, already covered in the course material, or lack sufficient context. Failure to follow the support structure does not indicate a lack of mentorship.

Program Positioning
This mentorship is designed to develop independent, rule-based traders, not to provide constant real-time hand-holding or instant replies on demand.
