Outstandingly positive experience
It’s all in the name of. A real home away from home.
This is a small hotel (only six double bedrooms ) but each is spacious and well appointed. There is a safety deposit box, smoke detector and fire extinguishers in each room.
While I hope they are never needed, it’s reassuring to know that they are there if ever needed.
The mattress is SO comfortable and the room has A/C and blankets to cater for all climates.
The bathroom is well equipped with a good sized water heater so having a long hot shower is not an issue.
There are 4-5 steps at the front which may limit mobility impaired individuals from getting inside. Following my visit, the hotel is looking at installing hand rails in the downstairs bathrooms to assist people with less mobility.
I’ve stayed at a LOT of places in Jaisalmer and thus far, none are as well appointed as The Second Home for safety and security.
Guests here would be hard pressed to find fault with the hotel or the staff.
