My wife and I entered the realm of "Equity Release" with a degree of caution. As most people I guess would do, we looked at 3 or 4 competitive equity release companies. I am pleased to say that The Right Equity Release won hands down.
This is because there is a lot of detailed understanding required to see how equity release works and whether it's right for you. While most companies went through the pros and cons of equity release, some on the phone, including one with a one hour phone interview, others visited us like most salespersons do. We found that the mortgage lending figures were more or less the same in each case, but the main difference was that this company took the trouble to visit us very promptly and in a non pushy way took the time to ask us what we were looking for, why we may have other options, and then explained the process in a very simple and frank way if we wanted to proceed. Furthermore they left it to us to think about it and were ready to answer all subsequent questions on the phone, further visits and on email. There was no pressure, neither was there a 'I am telling you whats best for you' attitude.
So ultimately it was The Right Equity Release's excellent service from start to finish, till the formalities were completed with professional and courteous efficiency that impressed my wife and I. We got our equity release through in less than 8 weeks!
