Really poor experience unfortunately. Ordered a pewter hip flask on 27 August for a colleague’s leaving do on the 5th September, 8 working days later. On 4th September I enquired about delivery and was told it had been ‘recently’ dispatched first class on Royal Mail 24. I asked for a tracking number but none was given to verify it had been sent. The gift never arrived.
I chased up on 11 Sep to be told it must have been lost in the post so they dispatched a replacement. This finally arrived on 16th September, 3 weeks after the original order, on tracked Royal Mail 48. Judging by other reviews there appears to be a common theme in blaming the delivery process.
Helena in Customer Service was very polite and helpful at all times and the hip flask when it arrived was good quality - hence me giving 2 stars rather than 1.
I would offer two pieces of advice to the company:
1) Make the likely delivery timescales clearer on the website.
2) If you use Tracked Royal Mail 24 or 48 as you claim, take a note of the tracking number before you dispatch the goods so that any delivery problem can be followed up.
On balance, not a company to be recommended.

I've bought several items over the past few years and the quality of the products (and the engraving) is beyond reproach. Do not hesitate to purchase from this company, you will not be disappointed. Their customer service is exemplary.

We ordered a money box for our newborn nephew. Firstly it took ages to be delivered, almost a month?! When we emailed we were fobbed off by the usual, it's the royal mails fault, not ours! When we did finally recieve the item it's engraving is poor and the money box is covered in scratches. Tried the live chat, again, not working, again, will wait for a reply which may be before his first birthday! Poor poor service, do not use. Customer service appalling as was the engraving. Disappointed to say the least. 1 star as not able to leave 0.
Update after reply from the company...we were not asked to return the item as they stated as they could see from the photos we sent to them the poor condition the item was sent to us in and they gave us a full refunded our money. Shame they are able to reply quickly to this but not to their actual customers!
I would like to see the original photos of the money box and compare them to the one we received as the condition we received the item in was scratched upon arrival, wrapped, boxed and outer packaging intact. This company is a joke!

I was let down by another company. I called this company and ordered express next day over the phone. Really happy with the compass and cufflinks the engraving makes them extra special.

I wished I had read these reviews before ordering. I'm not happy with the service I received but it sounds like it was better than other people's experience. I ordered a candle holder for my son's engagement on 7th May and it took until 23rd to be delivered. I had to keep apologising to them that my present hadn't arrived and now the moment has kind of passed. Don't bother paying for Royal Mail 24 delivery as they send it by royal mail 48 anyway. When I contacted them I got fobbed off with 'shortly' and 'very soon'. I won't be ordering from this company again. Where on earth they get the testimonials from goodness knows or why they choose to fulfil some orders on time and not others. So you can reply and tell me I've ordered from an USA site my order number is 99681. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the product itself is ok.

Need to be clearer on dispatch and delivery time. A wall of text is not sufficient.

After ordering a birthday present for my husband on the 4th of March and paying for standard delivery which promised 3-5 days delivery after dispatch, I heard nothing for a whole week after I purchased my item. His birthday was on the 20th and so I thought I will call and even if they dispatch today, I would still get it on time before his birthday. This was on the 11th, I had to call them myself and ask where my item was. They said it had already been dispatched but I did not receive a dispatch email until hours later. However, I STILL DID NOT RECEIVE MY ITEM BEFORE THE 20TH. I was so shocked. I called them and they said, there is nothing we can do until 10 working days have passed since dispatch and then we can action it as lost which would have been the 22nd. I called them first thing on that morning and was still very polite in asking for a refund. They told me that it would take 30 DAYS for me to get my money back.

At the time of writing this review, it has been 40 days since my request and I have not heard anything else from them. So I decided to live chat with them and the person I spoke to said they would 'look into it' Who knows how long that will take now?

First, I was just upset, but now I am angry at the situation.
VERY, very poor service and I would not recommend anyone shop from here.

I searched long and hard to find a gift for my parent 60th wedding anniversary - on 31st March I ordered and engraved vase.
To cut a long story short, the said product has not arrived, apparently was dispatched but lost in the post - had to wait until 17th of April before they would even acknowledge it was perhaps lost (not sure now it was even dispatched) as no tracking numbers or even confirmation received from them to confirm it had been dispatched in the first place. Was promised a replacement would be sent and be dispatch on 18th and sent as 1st class signed for - yes you guessed it - now 24th and no sign - another call and apparently it’s still in production! It takes 3 days to engrave and check a vase for dispatch! Not the call handlers fault but lack of empathy or understanding just a robotic answer - even when asked if they could send it next day delivery recorded - It’s a NO and can’t make any promises she can’t keep - not even I will see what I can do and give you a call back - really don’t hold out much hope of receiving it before weekend and will be the third time I have gone empty handed to my parents in. celebration of their special day. Please ‘The Engraved Gifts Company’ if you care about your customers arrange a speedy dispatch and I will thren update my review to reflect this. Right at this moment I am regretting even using your Company.

I have been waiting for my purchase for 2 weeks. I have emailed twice now with no response. My 2 items that I have purchased were mothers day gifts. Too late now!!!!. So disappointed. I will never use this company again!! I want a refund but how when I can not get hold of anyone! If anyone is reading this do not purchase any goods from this sithe.

Ordered from them with high hopes which have been shattered. Paid for gifts immediately and have had no word. Not even an email comfirmation from them. Waited a week before logging in to track the order and find out there is 'no order history' and no products on their way to me. the live chat helpline is always closed for the day.

It is not often i write reviews but i was so happy with the kind service and with my gifts.
I was nitsure what to order but their customer services helped me select my gift and i found the site easy to use.
I upgraded tothe next day delivery service onthe phone to ensure my gift arrived promptly. It cost me £9.99 for the special service but worth it.
My gifts arrived the next day and i was thrilled withthe engraving. I will shop here again and use the next day service but you have tocall them to upgrade to this service.

Friendly good service is what i had when i ordered some photo frames for my wedding. The looked great engraved so overall pleased with what i ordered.
