Uncomfortably Hot Room and Poor Standards at Bramley House
Title: Uncomfortably Hot Room and Poor Standards at Bramley House
Our stay at Bramley House on 11th and 12th July was extremely disappointing. The room was unbearably hot, with inadequate ventilation and only a single fan provided. Sleeping in these conditions was almost impossible and made the stay very uncomfortable.
Adding to the frustration, there were no basic toiletries in the room — something guests should reasonably expect from accommodation of this standard. While health and safety regulations may restrict certain measures, this does not excuse failing to provide a comfortable environment or suitable alternatives during extreme heat.
We raised these concerns with the property, but the response did not adequately address the discomfort and inconvenience we experienced.
Bramley House urgently needs to improve guest comfort in hot weather — whether that’s by providing proper cooling solutions, clearer communication, or better contingency measures. Small touches like ensuring toiletries are available would also go a long way toward meeting basic hospitality standards.
Sadly, based on this experience, we would not recommend Bramley House until these issues are resolved
