I ordered two child seats (order number SA045994) costing £273.60 on 26 Dec. Like many others I received a confirmation email telling me that my order would be delivered on 7 Jan. After this didn’t happen I sent two emails and received replies telling me that logistic issues were delaying delivery. Emails now bounce back and the mobile number provided doesn’t work. I’ve reported the company to my bank and am going to speak with the Met Police Fraud Department that Sekhri Enterprises Ltd T/A The Baby Room is likely running a fraudulent operation.

It is not the first time we used this website. In April 2019, we ordered and successfully received Cybex pram and car seat from this company for £1500 and we were pleased with the service.

Warning they have opened another website under the “baby room outlet”.

Identical website, same owners and registered address.

Please do not believe there is an issue with their website, when they have just created a new one.

I ordered a running buggy after Christmas. It was delivered but is faulty and needs exchanging. Emails requesting an exchange are ignored and it’s impossible to get through to speak to someone on the phone. Is this company in liquidation or not??? This is not good enough.

I have also been robbed by the baby room. I ordered my car seat in December with a delivery date of the 13th of January. I emailed customer service on the 12th when I had received no shipping info and I was told it was delayed by a week. The following week when I tried to contact again my email bounced back and then I read all the other reviews of other people in the same situation.
I tried texting and calling the mobile number they provided here and I received no response. I have requested a refund through their new website “the baby room outlet” but they say they cannot process refunds. I find this impossible to believe as they can take payments on their new website!!

If what the baby room are saying is true (website being taken down erroneously and not their fault etc....) then why would they not have processed our orders when their website was still working??? It’s clearly a scam.

I am putting my review as I do not understand why people who are supposedly receiving their items (following no communication) are giving 5 stars. How is that 5 star service??? These are clearly fake reviews.

So I have damaged seat which I received damaged I was told twice I’d be send out a new seat but nothing and have rung the number 5 times today and they hang up this is beginning to be a joke also Been trying to sort this since before Christmas

I ordered my Baby jogger pram, raincover and bassinet a couple of weeks ago and the delivery date was given to me as 22nd Jan. It didn’t turn up and I was panicking as the website had closed down!! So I called the number given on this page and with a lot of perseverance (I think I called 16 times in a row) I got through to a nice man who said that the delivery would be with me today, delivered by DPD.
Still sceptical I called DPD to ask if they deliver for this company and they said they do.. so I waited and today we have received our items, the full order is there and I’m really relieved! Everything was tracked on DPD as well.
The communication side of things isn’t great but the company have obviously had massive technical issues. Just call up with your order number and they will sort it.

Ps this is NOT a fake review and the website is not a scam! I am a 27 year old with a baby on the way and my boyfriend is currently at home building our new pram :) It’s a shame trust pilot don’t allow photo uploads as I’d put on a photo of my items!

I have been waiting for over a month now. With the website down and the phone numbers suggesting to contact via web. Do you have any update on this, please?

It is appalling that you guys are not able to fix a simple website for more than 10 days.

This company seems to have closed down on the 19th December 2019, yet the website stayed open and took our money, and by the looks of other reviews, everyone below's money as well!

Fraud.

I'd advise everyone to contact your banks to cancel and if its too late. Report it via
action Fraud police. put it as much details as possible can take over 28 days for them to sort it. They are leading people with false promises I have been promised both a refund and my items more than once have received neither. What they are doing is actually against the law. Ordered something beginning of December baby is 2 months old still no sign of nothing. My order reference is sa043790 and I have submitted a report to the police. Will only delete it when I have received my refund.

I have ordered 2 Nomi chairs for my toddler and 8month old on 17th of Jan for £221, received confirmation that I will receive them on 27th of Jan by DPD. Knowing how precisely DPD works, it was strange that on day no one sent this 1 hour slot. I order online regularly and straight away after this had a feeling something is not right . And of course looking on internet their website is GONE and emails bounce back, and phone number don’t work because just rings and rings and then cuts off.
I am extremely disappointed and upset that my children have to suffer after all. And how this company “founders” thieves sleep over night when they robbing families who all they want to provide for their children . Disgusting!!! Never had an experience like this. Bank can’t help either said ring Friday only 15 days after purchase can raise dispute . Nicely got rid off me . But I am not gonna leave it like this and let them get away with this. The more people will get involved the more police also will start investigating and hopefully thieves will get caught .

A friend sent me an item from this website that she wanted as a baby shower gift and I purchased it for 208 Euro (about $275USD including delivery etc) on 12/12/19. When she hadn't received it in early January, I emailed their customer support—I was told that the item was delayed, waiting for a delivery and that it would ship the following week. After waiting another 2 weeks with no shipping update, I emailed again and my email was returned. Tried pulling up their website again and it was GONE. Then a quick google search led me here, along with several other similar stories. Also, all of the very sudden positive reviews seem suspiciously fabricated, siting the same verbiage over and over. LASTLY, I'm in the US, how am I supposed to send a text to a UK phone number? I've initiated a dispute with my credit card company, hoping it is reversed. UGH!!

Ordered my car seat 29th Nov. Not received and got an email from Chloe on 13th Jan after chasing her to say it should be dispatched in a week. I followed this up a week later and today, and both emails could not be delivered and now the website is closed so no way of contacting them.

I've contacted my credit card and they have just processed the refund so I would advise to speak to your bank or credit card provider.

Luckily we have borrowed a car seat but I feel for the many who have been stranded without their items. The company is quick to take payment and slow to deliver. Do not trust.

I ordered a pram to the total of £336 on the 13th jan to be delivered the 15th it hasn’t arrived I have text the phone number three times now to no answer or reply at all! My order number is sa049224 can you please contact me ASAP I have no hope now and no pram for my daughter and no money to purchase another one! Very very upset about all of this!

I ordered a stair gate on the 20th December, delivery was supposed to be the 7th January, obviously never came. Emailed them, received an automated email saying someone would get in touch within 48 hours, after 48 hours of no response I decided to ring them, it went straight to voicemail saying they’d not got a phone line as they were moving locations and to use the online chat, which doesn’t exist. Emailed them again and the email bounced back! Then came on here to read the reviews and it did panic me, however I had an email today off DPD with a delivery slot for today..so I have finally received my item, haven’t had time to open it up yet (praying it’s ok) but at least it’s arrived and gives some customers a little bit of hope.

On the 27th of December I placed an order on The Baby Room for a Bugaboo High Performance Footmuff in Black and paid £123.96 which was taken from my card. No emails or order confirmations.

I chased up with The Baby Room on 13th Jan, Chloe replied saying stock would be in within the week and dispatched. I tried to email today and all their email and web details fail to work.

AVOID THIS COMPANY, TOTAL SCAMMERS

I have emailed the baby room to ask when they are delivering the pram we ordered which was due on the 24th February. However the email address I have for them has bounced back and the website is no longer there. Further research seems to suggest that they are not a reputable company a cannot deliver on any products. Do not order from them.

In response to the reply posted then could please provide a contact number, the company name and registration number at Companies House and who your corporate bankers are? I have had no communication from you with an update on my purchase, could you please provide me with a tracking number from DPD?

Placed my order on January 5th - due to be delivered on 14th by DPD but didn't arrive. Like everyone else, I couldn't contact them and assumed it was a scam, but hadn't got round to requesting a refund yet.
Got a text this morning to say it would be coming by DPD tonight and it's just arrived.
Terrible communication, but at least it eventually arrived! Don't lose hope!

Has anyone been able to get through to anyone this week? The phone line doesn’t appear to work. I’m ever an optimist but there does not appear to be any way to speak to anyone!
