If I could rate it zero I would.
First of all 7 of us came into the bar. Weren’t greeted by anyone. We’re sat at the bar for atleast 10/15 before we were even acknowledged. A simple “ hi will be with you in a moment” would have gone a long way.
5/7 of us had been served. When I then asked about the last 2 of us being served we were told the till was down. Again a simple “sorry the till is down” would have gone a long way as suppose to being ignored for 10 minutes.
When mine and my partners pina colada’s came. They tasted like nothing like they advertised on the drinks menu and served to us in a coke glass.
Disappointed to say the least
The toilets were absolutely disgusting. And the toilet seat was broken. My friend ordered passion fruit martinis and it didn’t have any passion fruit or prosseco with it. She wasn’t told about this until asked as to which she said “sorry we don’t have any” but we still had to pay full price.
We came out for my friends 25th birthday and we have been let down by Rushden lakes tgis.

Dirty & Long Wait
We booked a table for 4.45pm Saturday 23rd at the Tinsley restaurant which we have been going to for over 15 years. Unfortunately we will not be going again. We arrived early at 4.25pm and entered the restaurant, gave my name informing the hostess I had reserved a table, she asked if we had any diet requirements to which I informed yes we did as my grandson is celiac and she took us to our table. We then waited 20 minutes before being asked if we wanted a drink at which point we said we would and also ordered our food at the same time. Luckily we had decided that we were just having a main course. Both of us decided to have the sweet potato fries. As is the case a manager has to confirm any allergies and make sure that the meal chosen is suitable - another 15 minutes. Whilst waiting for my food I glanced down to see that my knife and fork were absolutely filthy which should have been picked up by whoever laid the table. The previous customers meal was well and truelyy welded to them. Our food eventually arrived at just after 5.35pm!! Sweet potato fries missing from my grandsons meal which we decided to not say anything as we didn't have another spare hour to wait (we did make sure that we didn't pay for them). At 6pm we finally left the restaurant - what a joke of a visit. When we arrived it wasn't overly busy - excuses were made for a shortage of staff however they constantly seated more and more customers. This then caused several people to just walk out. Thank god we didn't want three courses or 1 hour 35 minutes could've turned into 5 hours!!!!!!!!!!
We visited TGI Fridays in Stevenage…
We visited TGI Fridays in Stevenage today and what a waste of time and money. The service was shocking, so slow, after 20 minutes I had to ask for our drinks, our food was wrong, cold, bland, soggy and it’s so overpriced! Used to love it , 10 years ago. Definitely wouldn’t consider returning again, what a sad, sorry atmosphere , the only positive is they didn’t add a service charge!
If I could have rated it zero stars
If I could have rated it zero stars, I would have done, as one is too nice. I took my daughter there for a treat. We had the worst chicken burger and chips each - not even ten chips on our plates. We also had two soft drinks and two two-for-one cocktails. I nearly died when I received the bill of over ninety pounds! Absolute joke!
MENU/PORTION SIZE.
Limited choice on menu.
Small portions, not a filling meal.
12 year old granddaughter had adult portion then required sandwiches when home.
Staff are very attentive, without been over the top.
FIVE stars for staff exceptional service.
Menu has reduced massively, none of the…
Menu has reduced massively, none of the Jack Daniel meals available. Food is massively over priced £24.99 for a burger that was so greasy and the bacon tasted like it had been cooked in a filthy pan. No mention of kids eat free or how to redeem this, didn’t realise until looking now that they could! Two adults two kids for basically chicken chips & burgers £100! Greasy tasteless food.
Wow this place has gone down hill!
Wow this place has gone down hill! Took wife and kids as we hadn’t been since before Covid and we were all really hungry. First thing to note is that the menu has been reduced and they don’t have any jack Daniel’s sauce which used to be the essence of TGIs. Anyway, ordered a burger and it was nothing like the quality burgers of 5 years ago. I can only describe the burger as being something like you’d get in a cheap burger van - it was greasy and didn’t have any flavour at all. Definitely not quality beef either. It’s a nerve that they could charge nearly £25 for it. The manager did put it right to be fair to them in terms of the bill, but I still don’t think I would ever go here again. The hungry horse do better burgers for literally 25% of the price. I don’t think TGIs has a future as it was quite dead inside.
I felt like the drinks were a scam
I felt like the drinks were a scam. They advertise 2-for-1 offers, but then charge £16 for a mojito that’s mostly ice. The quality was really disappointing.
TGI Stratford
First off when we entered the restaurant the greeting was on point and we were sat immediately. However the seat and the table were clearly not cleaned so the waitress cleaned the seat with her hand and moved the table to suit us. However on doing this she disturbed a mouse who ran up by another table where a group of girls was sitting, one of the girl proceeded to scream and jump on the table and subsequently ran out and left. The team inclusive of the Supervisor came to investigate and found nothing so they cleaned up the tables and left.
Our server was on point. There was no blender in the restaurant although they advertised Blended cocktails and the cocktails we ordered "Pornstar Martini" was sweetened syrup and tasted horrible....it was our money so we finished it.
The server came and asked how service was and we told them, they gave us complementary drinks of coke & Lemonade and that tasted like soda water. The food portions was ridiculous for the price and we ended up paying the full bill....its a lesson. We will never be going to any TGI ever again.
Make sure you read small print in menu
It was clear the staff in Cheadle are trained to misrepresent the menu to prise as much money as possible from the customer. We were led to believe any of the chip options were included with the burger, then she denied she'd said that! When she pointed out the cocktails were 2 for 16, we ordered two different ones. It was clear we thought she meant any two for £16, then when she turned up with 4 drinks she insisted that we should have read the small print in the menu. Then all the cocktails consisted of a glass FULL of ice, with minimum contents! £76.18 for 2 burgers, sweet potato chips and a cocktail!
A really great experience.
My review of TGI Friday in Derby(you can also see it on Tripadvisor and Trustpilot)
For the last three nights, we have attended TGI Friday in the Derbion in Derby.
12th September 2024.
Our party celebrated our first group holiday away from our homes.
Night 1.
We were served by Cameron the youngest member of staff possibly aged between 18 and 23 he was helpful and patient with us, as it was our first visit to TGI’s to celebrate our first holiday, And he made the night enjoyable by actually connecting with us and talking to us, and he shared a laugh with us, the food was glorious and the presentation was impressive, cameron did an excellent job with making the salted caramel and chocolate brownie sundae, which tasted absolutely delicious, he is a credit to the restaurant, And that's why we had a discussion about returning again, little did we know it would be the very next day.
Night 2.
Our party decided to split in half with two going to watch the new beetlejuice beetlejuice movie at the showcase cinema and myself and another went to TGI, we were welcomed at the bar by Justina the deputy general manager, she asked if we wanted to try the pouring exercise the bar staff have to do every year to continue as a qualified bartender, my mate and I scored 3 out of 7.
Cameron came to the bar recognised us and said hello had a quick chat with us both and then carried on with his work, when we decided that we were ready to eat we were immediately shown to a table by Justina not even a minute later, we were served drinks by Max the general manager Who was about to finish his shift, we were then served food by Lincoln, he was very welcoming and remembered us from Night 1 and asked how we were, and my mate and I had a very nice conversation with him, when we had finished eating he gave us our bill and we decided that we wanted to join the other two from our party who had arrived at the bar, Lincoln mixed up some alcohol drinks for those in our party who drink and also soft drinks for myself and my mate who also doesn’t drink, he was very attentive and really made our night special, they all did, we reafermed that we would return again.
Night 3 part 1.
Before a game of bowling, we decided again to return to the friendly atmosphere of TGI Friday, Justina welcomed us at the bar served us our drinks and wished us luck for our game of bowling.
Night 3 part 2.
After an enjoyable game of bowling we returned to TGI Friday and booked for our dinner, Lincoln said they had a 45 minuet wait as they had a huge amount of customers already attending, he invited us to the bar and Justina helped the time run smoothly by mixing us up some mocktails and showed us to our table when it was ready, we were then served by Megan who was bubbly and made the evening very pleasant, she also did a great job with making the chocolate fudge fixation which also tasted very delicious.
Final day, when we arrived we were welcomed at the bar by Justina, had a few drinks then we were shown to a table by Frankie, who is actually the youngest member of staff work there, she was very attentive,
Cheerful, we were service our drinks and food by max the general manager and desert was prepared by Kayleigh it had great presentation and was delicious,
Reading all the reviews that I’ve seen on various platforms, I can definitely say that TGI Friday in the derbion it’s not worth the bad reviews it’s getting, it’s worth far more than that, from what I’ve observed the food takes longer because they are actually making sure it’s prepared properly, and it also takes longer for a table to become available, as They are actually making sure it’s clean instead of leaving it with sauce marks.
I have observed some very rude customers, which I find is unacceptable, this is not Karen’s diner, where you can be rude with the staff, and it’s not McDonald’s where the food is served quicker, I am well aware of the news publications about TGI Friday, but I find some of the reviews of the Derbion TGI Friday to be without solid evidence for the slander.
Many of the places I have eaten at, I find if you glance at the name badge of the person serving you, you get a better style of service, by showing them human respect and you will find that you will receive it back.
My friends and I are very pleased with the Style of service we have received at TGI Friday in the Derbion and we have all agreed to recommend it to our friends and relatives and also return whenever we are in the area, TGI Friday may be receiving bad press and reviews which people are entitled to leave and express their opinion, but I personally along with my compatriot’s think that this restaurant is worthy of our custom and shall return.
They have all been brilliant thank you so much guys and gals.
At TGI Friday the Derbion.
TGIs no longer for us.
I'm not sure what has happened to TGIs over the years, but it's not the place it once used to be. We visited at the end of August for my sons 13th birthday and could not believe the prices. I always choose the chicken fingers meal, but at £19.95, I nearly choked on my cola. It's basically fast food with a massive price tag. I'm sorry, but the menu has shrunk, the prices have inflated and its just not the same. I can't see us returning in the future. I can make the same at home for a fraction of the price.
Bracknell is great
Bracknell is great!
Charlotte is even better. What an asset to any team!
First time in a Fridays restaurant…
First time in a Fridays restaurant inmany years it used to be a professional run business based on showmanship with bar tenders performing behind the bar and do magic tricks at the tables all decked out with braces hats and badges. This time was completely different staff stood around on entry no greeting no acknowledgement of us. Ordered a round of drinks at the bar, staff didn't know offers that were available and then overcharged me over £20 on the round Ordered, when queried was told my bottle of wine cost £20 more than advertised on menu then told me I couldn't get a refund straight away and pushed me into purchasing a second bottle to cover their mistake. When our party came to order the staff didn't know what food offers were on for the night. The staff came to sing happy birthday to the child whose birthday it was, and you could see they did not enjoy doing this it was a feeble effort that was rushed through and pathetic. The server did however work very hard trying to get everything right for us but after I had paid I realised I had been overcharged around £15 but by then had arrived home. It is a shame that a company that used to be highly professional and entertaining has gone so far downhill that you would have thought you had entered a McDonald's not a TGIFs
Never buy a gift card from them
Gave my son a gift card (bought from their website). When he used it he found that he couldn't use any other offers eg free kids meals. I emailed them to ask about this/complain, got a generic stalling email reply and then never heard anything else from them. Total rip-off!
Terrible experience for my family at…
Terrible experience for my family at your Xscape, Castleford TGI Friday’s restaurant yesterday. On arrival we informed the staff of our allergens and had to stand in the front of the queue in front of other people being told the process. Once seated and with our drinks, we began the food ordering. My sixteen year old son has a nut and sesame allergy. We could not log on to your online allergy checklist so asked the waitress to inform the kitchen and to make sure they cleared down to prepare my son’s smashed burger. We requested sesame free bun. The waitress returned twice then asked me to go and see her manager. I asked the manager to come to me. The manager told me people with a sesame seed allergy were advised not to eat in their restaurant. I was with seven of our family for my nephew’s birthday meal. I said it was fine, could you ask your chef to clear down and prepare the meal for my son. We were happy if they washed their hands and were mindful of the allergies it would be fine. The manager stood over me again and repeated that people with a sesame seed allergy were advised not to eat at their restaurant. People were looking at us. My son was embarrassed. I asked what she wanted us to do, for him to just not eat. She repeated her stock phrase again. I said to give us a minute. I then went over to Ask Pizza and they said they could accommodate us and that had procedures in place to prevent cross contamination and they could cater for my son’s needs. I went to the manager and said we were leaving. She charged me for the drinks, two cocktails, five cokes and a non alcoholic beer. We had not drunk them. We were made to feel so embarrassed and humiliated in a packed restaurant that we left immediately and my son was mortified. She charged us £42.20 for this experience!! At the time I just wanted to get out of the restaurant but on reflection, I cannot believe she charged us and would like a full refund and an apology for how poorly we were treated. It was shocking.
Food fine service digusting
Visited Durham restaurant yesterday. Waited at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us waiting to be seated. Placed our order and food arrived after about 20minutes. At no time during our time did anyone ask us if we needed sauces. More drinks, dessert, the bill or in fact interact with us at all. No one asked if food was fine. We noticed that the tables next to us were constantly given drink refills, had food replaced when they said it didn't suit, were asked if it was anyone's birthday and over and over asked if everything was OK. Awful experience won't be back rightly or wrongly we felt this had something to do with skin colour, it was so blatant.
Not what it use to be
Not what it use to be. Restaurants are always far too busy & the service is inevitably slow because they have far too many customers & not enough staff. The food is mediocre & the prices are absolutely shocking. Last time I visited me and my family couldn’t believe the prices! Nothing was reasonable! Totally over priced & they try to advertise as if you’re getting a great deal but you’re absolutely not. Portion sizes are small yet the price is ridiculous nothing matches well. Not good for value. The complaints procedure is abysmal! You get totally ignored. They’re rude and useless on social media & neglect complaints. They don’t address issues & offer any reasonable solutions to a complaint. I’ve been hung up on by the restaurant 5 times now. They don’t like dealing with problems. Not going again now. The cocktails are awful. Barely taste any alcohol yet the prices again are just shocking, there’s way better cocktail places out there! I find most restaurants dark and dingy anyway, won’t be returning! Needs closing down now I think it’s had its run of service and there’s plenty new American themed restaurants now anyway.
TGI fridays Wembley branch
We visited TGI fridays Wembley branch. We waited ages for a table that I had to approach someone to state we were waiting, The service has gone downhill. Not once were we asked by our own server if we needed anything extra/ drink refills etc as we had ordered a refill drink. We had to keep asking another server for this who was to be fair helpful and friendly, a credible to his role. The food was cold had to request my seasame chicken to be recooked as was cold, not cooked well and lacked favour. The burger was cold and not appealing. Was given an incorrect dip with my starters and portion sizes for starters were small. Furthermore starters and mains came together. We wanted the starters first then main after. Very slow service, took 30 mins for our drinks to come and we had to ask someone where our drinks were! This is despite it not even being busy just a handful of diners in the restaurant. Cancelled the desert as we were disappointed. The service and food has gone downhill. The seats were sticky. Disappointed and a waste of money that we could have spent elsewhere.
