Communication prior to delivery poor - phone message say's e-mail them - all e-mail go unanswered. 20+ calls and I eventually spoke to someone who said they would call me back...they didn't.


Table arrived damaged, Teak warehouse denied any responsibility for the quote from their e-mail "it was delivered intact" - how they could tell this under the layers of cardboard...who knows!!

Their solution to the damage - glue it yourself.

This is the entire response from them..."it was delivered intact but a simple job to put some wood glue in there and clamp up, next day as good as new

So now you all know - no apology, no assistance, no replacement, no help.

Suggest anyone thinking buying from them reconsider - any issues with the furniture - THEY WONT HELP AT ALL.

Spend a bit more elsewhere would be my suggestion, with someone who cares about their customers.


Update Feb 16 - Teak Warehouse - Now reporting genuine reviews to trustpilot to try and suppress how bad you are......Some of us keep the e-mails you cant be bothered to respond to and have proof of purchase!!

Can't get enough good reviews by providing good customer service..... so lets try getting rid of the bad reviews so people may still buy from you...genius idea. Epic fail....

Delivered yesterday after ordering at the weekend. 10 Chair set with 3.0mtr table, really good quality, chairs beautifully made and table was a real struggle to get into place as so heavy! Really helpful driver and from initial emailes answered to delivery have to give a big thumbs up for service and most importantly qality of goods received

Wrong table delivered. 2 chairs out of 4 broken. No response to email or phone calls. There's cheap and there's cheap rubbish. This is the latter.

Did not deliver on day promised. Will go elsewhere.

Hard to review teakwarehouse.co.uk because the prices are very good and the quality & solidity of the bench they delivered looks good also. I paid in advance by bank transfer and they delivered so no worries about their honesty.
The bench is excellent value but it is also true that if you were to pay three times more you'd get a higher quality - the difference would be that the bench I bought you can see the 3 screws at either end that I fitted when putting it together. For more moneyyou would not get self-assembly and would therefore get a better finish. Obvious if you think about it. Having said that, assembly was very easy and the bench is solid and looks great.
The poor side of this company is that they do not answer the phone and they do not respond to emails. They delivered a day later than they said they would but that's OK but would have been better if they had answered my mail asking where the bench was when it did not arrive as promised. Where i imagine customers will have trouble is if there is a quality problem as their non-communication policy will make it difficult & that would seem to be borne out by comments on this forum.

excellent quality furniture delivered also. stacking chairs build quality is second to none and the 3.0mtr table supplied is very heavy!

Had a Java bench delivered the day after ordering which was excellent. I took the Cash on delivery option to be on the safe side, I could check for damage etc. before paying. I needn't have worried the bench was first class. I decided to give it two coats of teak oil and it looks a picture.
As mentioned by other reviewers check the item on delivery as they come straight from the manufacturers and are not checked prior to delivery. There shouldn't be a problem though.

Take each company as you find them. 3.0mtr 10 seater stacking set ordered with no fuss and cash on delivery option taken
Quality of furniture is outstanding for the price.
Paid 899 for a set that would easily cost 1500.
No problems with order and again quality does it for me.

i felt that I should add to my previous review where I was perhaps a little to hard on TW. This was due to sheer frustration. Yes communication was poor but i was offered a replacement chair. I would reiterate that the table and chairs are very good. Today we have a massive choice of suppliers via the Internet and therefore service and follow up is most important to satisfy and retain customers. GW

If you are the sensitive, old fashioned type that expects good service from trained customer focused individuals this is probably not the company for you to deal with. However, if your only contact is via the worldwide interweb thing then it makes no difference who, or what, you are dealing with at the other end providing you recieve what you expect to recieve, which I did.

The product is good, delivery turnaround is good and the prices are good.

I have read a lot about how helpful the delivery guys are, I cannot express a view on that as they delivered whilst we were out and by prior arrangement I left cash under a flower pot, a signed reciept was left.

I am absolutely delighted with my Luytens style bench, at £179 (free delivery) it was at least £150 less than anything else else comparable. Time will tell, but I think I have done well.

To sum up, a no frills operation but a good product at a good price, just do not expect service from the office staff or much sympathy if something goes wrong, in that respect best to pay cash on delivery after you have checked the product.

I was advised that they would be in touch to arrange delivery & payment but I have heard nothing since.

I tried getting thru on the phone today but was told they were too busy.

No reply yet from my latest email.

The goods I ordered ARE still shown as available online.

update: I have an email from TeakWareHouse which says they will not discuss my order/complaint because I have posted the above accurate review!

just had delivered 7.30am! my stacking set by very friendly driver, unpacked and first impressions is the furniture is a very high quality and build spec, chairs great looking and lovely colour wise as should solid teak be

PLEASE don't believe the good reviews - this company are trying to remove all bad reviews, of which there were many. They talk people into giving a good review by the delivery drivers "being in a competition to win a patio set from the boss". Not the best/most honest reason to ask someone to leave a good review?

If you are lucky enough to get undamaged goods, then lucky you, but if not you'll have no come back with these guys! Our order took about 6 weeks to arrive (not a problem in itself) but when it came the cushions were cream and the parasol was white - both were supposed to be green. I didn't want mismatched ones and cream wouldn't last 5 minutes with our young children. Delivery driver said would exchange no problem and hurried off. When we unwrapped it, the table has a large crack in the leg and 4 large dents in the top which we DID NOT do. I sent a complaint with photos immediately but multiple email chases/calls were ignored for a month until I left a bad review. Finally, all I got were rude, inflammatory responses:

"Damage done by yourselves.... you must take responsibility.
Review? It is just a random rant."

I asked for a refund, but was told no way. They offered to replace the cushions and parasol a week ago.... They never came and I'm still waiting.

I have never been so appalled by the unprofessional nature of a company. I know problems happen, but I would hope they would be fixed. Yes, this stuff is cheap, but it can arrive damaged and you have no hope of recourse. Not worth the hassle. DO NOT USE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY!!

We took delivery this week of an 8 seater table & chairs set. This arrived 6 days after placing our order! The quality is superb with a lovely smooth finish. This set included a parasol & seat cushions which again I was very pleased with (cushion covers are removable too for easy cleaning). The delivery man (Kevin) was very helpful after a long busy day & put the table together for us also giving advise on the best way to look after our new furniture. We payed cash on delivery which gives peace of mind when ordering from a company we have never used before.

This is the no frills garden furniture experience.

This is what appears to be a few people who have set up a successful import company for teak and rattan garden furniture, largely for wholesale markets, who have subsequently set up a direct consumer website which they sell through.

I suspect that their focus is on the wholesale/volume market and consumer comes a distant second.

Expect very poor communications (phone line doesn't work or is engaged, email usually gets a one line response within a day or so).

However, also expect good quality furniture for the price paid. Drivers are very polite and efficient. Delivery is when promised.

If you are patient and go into this transaction with your eyes wide open you will get a good deal.

You will get a signed invoice stating payment revisited received for your cash on delivery.

I originally posted a three star review of Teakwarehouse in June 2014, though I now feel they deserve four stars for their excellent furniture. I said I would submit an update on how the furniture faired through the winter. Well! It's April, the sun is shining (at the moment) and the furniture is out. So here is the update........  

The table and four chairs spent their winter in the shed, they were oiled prior to going in and came out in the same condition. Joints sound and no warping. The bench spent winter in the same place it spent summer, on the patio. It too was oiled at the end of the season and as expected, has faded throughout the winter. Even though it had been rained on, hailed on, snowed on, (Ah! The wilds of Cumbria ) and became frozen on several occasion, it survived with flying colours. Just like the table and chairs the joints are all sound and there is no sign of wood warp. So I must say well done Teakwarehouse, your teak furniture is exceptional value for money. I just hope you've sorted your customer service problems.

Just in case anybody would like to read the original review, then I have added it in it's entirety below. For those of you who don't, then stop reading now..................    

Yes! The teak garden furniture has finally arrived and it is very, very, very good. The problems of getting it here are the only thing that sour the milk. I didn't realise that when they said free delivery, they mean't the amount of attempts it would take to deliver! Anyway moan over (possibly) and back to the review. I had given up on it coming and then at 8pm, the doorbell rings. There stands Kevin from Teakwarehouse, tired, his last delivery and the best part of three hundred miles from home. He was polite, helpful and a credit to the company, Mark (Teakwarehouse boss), give him a pay rise, he deserves it. The furniture was offloaded, the bill paid and Kevin duly parted on his long journey to Essex.  

Why, you may ask did I give a three star review. Well, I reply, I gave a star for each of the following: Quality, the teak furniture looks, as I said before; very, very, very good. Price, (even without discounts) better than the competitors. Kevin, shows that someone knows how to deal with customers. The two other stars would have been given for ease of contact and customer care.

Teakwarehouse have an excellent product but appear to be swamped by demand. I believe that their success maybe their biggest failure. So come on Teakwarehouse, get someone to answer the phone and reply to emails.  

Finally, I have read reviews that raise doubts about Teakwarehouse being a reputable company because they only accept payment by bank transfer or COD. I can say 100%, that they are 100% GENUINE but if you are still unsure, pay by cash on delivery as I did.  

And even more finally; I will update this review, same time next year and let you know how the furniture does over time. (See top of this updated review)

We ordered our table and chairs at midday, the following morning they arrived at 9.00 am. We were delighted to have received the furniture so quickly. We had read some bad reviews but as we could pay on delivery we thought we'd go for it. We did cash on delivery and everything was absolutely brilliant. The furniture is very good quality and we would recommend this product and service to anyone and everyone. Like others have said, don't let some bad reviews put you off. All we can say is that we had great service with no problems. Simon from Devon.

The table and chairs were delivered on Thursday as promised. Kevin the driver was very polite and helpful, helping me unpack it and explaining how to maintain it. It's a great addition to my garden.

Other reviews talk about the disconcerting ordering process. I made the mistake, in hindsight, of paying up front. That was in early June: six months later, I have no bench and Teak Warehouse still has my money.

No response to phone calls, e-mails, Recorded Delivery items refused (letters etc sent to Teak Warehouse's address on their website). Eventually submitted a 'small claim' for return of the £149 I had paid. No defence was filed, and judgement was entered against Teak Warehouse at the Northampton County Court on 28 October 2014. Don't use this company would be my advice.

The table itself was actually better constructed and of higher quality than I'd expected - not often you can say that about things you buy unseen off the internet.

It arrived the day after order, exactly as promised, and on time.

Kevin, the driver couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Not only did he help me unwrap the table so I could check the contents, he was clearly very knowledgeable about the product and was able to offer advice on care and maintenance.

All in all, 10/10! Thanks
