Very poor business practice - Aylesbury Audi
A few weeks ago I booked my Q5 for an oil service and MOT. I also asked that they look to see if there is an oil leak, as I thought there was a slight chance of one, and the warranty is nearly at can end. They quoted me a price if £350 for this. When I arrived this morning to drop the car off, the service reception said that if they found no additional work under warranty they would charge me a further £140 on top of the £350. I explained this was not what I had be quoted on the phone and it was ridiculous to charge me £140 if they DID NOT see an oil leak when doing the oil service! I took my car away without any work done as lost any trust in the dealership, and now will get the work done elsewhere. Very poor business practice, and unacceptable treatment of a customer.
I rebooked the warranty work with York Audi (JCT 600), as I split my week between York and Aylesbury. What a difference. York Audi were excellent, and fixed the fault wuthout quibble and without the threat of unfair charges. It turns out the very fault my car had was the subject of a uk-wide safety recall two months later!
Any way, York Audi has my trust and continued custom, Aylesbury Audi does not! Oh well...
