SSL Massage Therapies is a small independent business located at a residential address in Chapeltown, North Sheffield. The treatment room has a warm, welcoming and tranquil atmosphere with an electric, comfortable massage table that is heated throughout the autumn and winter months. Michelle uses aromatherapy to enhance your experience and the aroma is spa-like as you enter the room. Michelle originally trained as a Paediatric Nurse but in 2016 embarked on a career change. Taking the plunge to retrain and set up her own business from the outset, she has successfully created a zen space and established an excellent reputation in the local community and beyond. Michelle has completed a variety of courses and most recently attained the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy. She aims to facilitate your wellness through massage therapy using a person centred approach. She is now undertaking a course in Evidence Based Pain Management for Massage Therapists to further progress her knowledge, in order to better support her clients suffering from chronic/persistent pain. I’ve been coming to Michelle for a while now and will always recommend her. Michelle is very welcoming and her knowledge is second to none. I have been going to Michelle now for a while and I usually have a hot stones massage or an Indian head massage. I always feel very comfortable with Michelle she is very professional but also very friendly and puts you at ease straight away.After my treatment I always feel very relaxed and chilled out,the whole experience is excellent

Michelle has a lovely manner and is very professional when dealing with my complexities.
She explains what she is doing and prescribes after care for me.
Michelle is a great massage therapist who is very knowledgeable and professional. I always feel great after I’ve been to see her. Recently I was diagnosed with a lifelong condition which she researched to check I could still do massages and what the requirements would be for her and me to be able to continue with my sports massage. I can’t rate her enough.
I went to Michelle with shoulder a pain in my side. Michelle was excellent she knew exactly which area was causing the problem. I had several sports massages which treated the problem and now still attend periodically to help maintain. Michelle is lovely, approachable and professional. I would highly recommend.

This was a nice relaxing massage. I booked the massage as maintenance for my back, which definitely worked. I could feel the tension reduce and mobility increase.

I have been seeing Michelle for regular sports massages for over a year, and I wouldn't go to anyone else! I really put my body through it with running and rock climbing, and I feel so much improvement after an appointment with Michelle. Michelle is an exceptional therapist and highly qualified.
Before I found her I'd visited others but they didn't really offer a tailored service, more of a one size fits all.
I have been seeing Michelle for a few years now. I have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and I can't really explain how much she has helped me. I've had a few different treatments and I have a monthly Indian Head Massage. She tailors the treatment depending on how I feel on the day. So lighter massage if I have more pain.
She is very knowledgeable, calm and professional but also a good listener and wants to get to know about her customers so she finds the best way to support then through her treatments.
Her therapies have helped me through so much including bereavement.
I highly recommend Michelle and have bought sessions for family and friends as gifts.
She offers a calm setting and I leave feeling lighter and calmer
