My Experience was great specially with Alex. It’s been almost a month since i moved in to my studio and so far no issues at all. She was professional and honest.

Had a chance to move in the rental property managed by Squarefoot lettings and it has been pure delight experience. On day 1 of contacting them, we got Ieva assigned as a dedicated property manager - our personalized one stop solution for all the move in / rental needs wrt the said property. Ieva has been great and we found Ieva as a warm, friendly and thorough professional in her dealings. All the related documentation done by Squarefoot is detailed and Ieva walked us through all the processes, contract details. Her patient and calm nature helped us go through the detailed documentation with ease and Ieva continues to help even after moving into the said rental apartment. Thanks a lot to Ieva and Squarefoot for the pleasant and hasslefree renting experience.

I’ve been with Squarefoot for 6 months now, and I can honestly say they are outstanding! From start to finish, every part of the team has made the whole renting experience smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable.

The viewings team went above and beyond, even offering rides with their Squarefoot car, which made everything so convenient. The rental team has been incredible – always friendly, professional, and supportive. They guided me through every step, made the paperwork easy to understand, and even gave me thoughtful touches like Squarefoot coffee cups and keyrings.

The maintenance team has been just as impressive, always quick to respond and extremely helpful whenever I had any concerns about the apartment.

On top of that, their office is warm, cozy, and welcoming, filled with red accents that perfectly reflect their passion for helping clients – it really makes every visit a pleasure.

I have been working with Squarefoot Apartments as an external contractor for many years and found the maintenance team always really friendly and easy to work with, as are all the staff in their office who are chatty and kind to offer refreshments whenever i’m in the office collecting keys ect…

On the whole i’ve found this agency to be very good at organising repairs in a timely manner without wasting time on excessive admin and collecting loads of quotes unnecessarily which would only delay the issue getting fixed for the tenant.

Carrying out hundreds of EICR’s during COVID19 to comply with legislation that came into force around that time was challenging in terms of access to apartments, but together with the maintenance team we made sure that this essential compliance was done without risk and fuss, and i’ve found this approach to be consistent across all of their maintenance works.

Absolutely shocking customer service whilst trying to find a property. Got a phone call from someone I believe to be working with Squarefoot Apartments who, when I asked if he was calling from an estate agency, said he was not an agency. He was very rude and dismissive. He asked about an "application" I made on Rightmove (so how could he get my number if he wasn't an agent? I had only enquired on Rightmove's portal). When I asked what property he just said the post code (which doesn't help considering I am looking at multiple properties, like a normal person). I asked him to repeat the property address and he rudely said "I just said Bradford 7 my love" so I told him there's no need to be so rude when I'm doing him the favour of paying him money. His business wouldn't exist without renters. Buttoned and blocked, will never be going with them!

I have been living in my current house with Squarefoot for over two years now. The house is 2 bedroom and is perfect.

The service was very profesional from viewing, move in and on going comunication.

The maintenance team are very profesional and provide regular updates if there is any maintenance required.

Really happy with the property and the Squarefoot.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of service, speed of response and level of professionalism I received at Squarefoot apartments. I had less than 4 days to the end of my existing tenancy and I got sorted with a new apartment in 3 days including referencing. Everyone was so helpful, pleasant and empathetic. Moving homes as an international student can be very daunting but thankfully I came across Squarefoot apartments who had me sorted and gave me peace of mind.

I just recently moved in to Bradford and I am so happy I got to be with Squarefoot Apartments. My first meeting was with Claire and she was extremely helpful, answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. My second meeting was with Alex and she was brilliant, when I told her that I am new to the area and I am on my own she immediately offered to help with anything I need and gave me lots of useful tips. I am very happy that I chose Squarefoot Apartments and I would recommend it to everyone. What an amazing team and such a brilliant customer service. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

I'm really suffering with the worst maintenance and high rent!!
Just moved in to your furnished flat and bought my food to find out that your fridge and freezer is not working
Wasted lots of rotten food and meat
Then find out that a window in the living room is not properly concealed
The wall is getting really wet when it’s raining and the flat is freezing
Again find out that there is a leakage in my kitchen roof. not only it’s raining inside my kitchen but its literally coming out of the light bulb opeining.

Tried to call your emergency line is not responding and I’m leaving a voice mail.

Not to mention the poor and rusted microwave and poor quality of the mattress saggy as my back is screaming of pain, and the rest of the furniture

Side note that the Agent asked us to rate them 5 STARS on google reviews before even getting our keys. so that’s how they are getting good rating.

They have also asked for application fees which is illegal as per the tenant-fees-act as per UK gov.

Squarefoot Apartments are an exploitative company who are willing to break the law in order to make money. I lived in one of their properties for a year and a half. Here are some issues I experienced:

1) When I was paying the deposit, they asked for over £100 in admin fees in cash suggesting perhaps some illegal activity in their bookkeeping. The agent who showed me around made me feel rushed in securing it and therefore I didn't question this.

2) I requested blinds in my living room as I had two extremely large windows with apartments facing opposite. They refused immediately, stating the landlord refused. I requested their contact details so I could check this and they refused. This is ILLEGAL. I e-mailed them the relevant law to show them and they continued to refuse, instead choosing to fit the blinds in order to silence me.

3) When my 12 month contract came to an end, I chose to let it turn into a periodic tenancy agreement which happens automatically. Despite this, they still requested I visit their office to sign a new contract - I explained there was no need as it was automatic and they insisted. When I did, they surprised me with a fee of £180 - for doing nothing. I refused, explaining also that I did not appreciate being surprised with such a large amount of money and I left the office. I heard nothing further and assumed the matter was closed. A few weeks later, I receive an automated text message telling me that I need to renew my contract or they will start viewings on the property - implying they were giving me notice to vacate the property which they had not; I was still living there with a valid contract. I rang them and explained the situation, the owner of Squarefoot Apartments called me back and was extremely rude - demanding that I pay this money. They lied and tried telling me there were admin costs involved in this new contract, when I corrected them in this, it changed into admin costs in changing my deposit. My partner is a landlord and is well aware this is not the case - when we explained that the £180 fee suddenly became for simply keeping their business running. That is NOT acceptable. He threatened to evict me despite this being something only the landlord can do and not the estate agent. I paid to find out who the owner of my property was, since Squarefoot refused to provide this information and contacted them. They were very surprised to hear that Squarefoot had threatened eviction as they had no such plans - an empty threat for £180.

4) When preparing for moving, my new property requested a reference. Squarefoot refused until I handed in my notice - this could leave me homeless if I wasn't able to secure a new property in the interim. When questioned, they provided no explanation other than "you're in contract" which still doesn't answer why they cannot provide a reference. I could be renting two properties at the same time if I wished to - being "in contract" is irrelevant and is yet another example of them being unnecessarily obtrusive.

5) When I initially signed my contract, they had a clause that I must conduct professional cleaning at the end of my tenancy (this is now an illegal clause and cannot be claimed for). This is not necessary if the apartment is in the same/better cleanliness as when it was originally letted. I ensured it was of a higher standard, despite this they tried to charge me £95 as a cleaning fee - it was clear this was automatic as they provided no evidence (which is solely their responsibility, not of the tenants to disprove it) and it is highly unlikely that £95 would have been paid to cleaners - it is more likely this would have contributed their "business running costs". As my partner is a landlord, he produced a fake cleaning invoice - the cleaning cost was removed and my full deposit was paid to me, despite the state of the flat not changing before or after providing the invoice.

6) The majority of the staff I have interacted with have been rude, patronising and inarticulate when challenged on any of the above issues.

I posted this review on Google, they replied with lies and ommitting key facts. I am in the process of reporting them to the council
