SLL did a great extension for me and we are very happy about the end result .Sergio was a great approachable project manager . His team worked so hard and did work in record time .

SLL built our loft conversion last year. We had good experience with them. On Friday we noticed an issue with the lead flashing on the new roof and on Monday the roofers came back to fix it. Very impressed.

My loft conversion has just been completed by South London Lofts. We went for a rear dormer conversion which consisted of a double bedroom complete with en suite shower room. The projected timescale was 8 weeks and the project was completed in around 7. Excellent communication from start to finish and the guys on site were very professional with their approach to every detail. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a loft conversion.

Worked with SLL on a number of projects and they have shown great commitment and professionalism in the way they work. Would definitely recommend.

What a great conversion we had with SLL, I know they are busy, as they have converted quite a few projects in my area, I've seen their banners everywhere, but even so, they built my conversion fast and efficiently... and I was very impressed with Paul the project manager, and the team of tradesmen, they were really-really good... and also very polite, so, yes we would recommend them highly, I think this is why they are so busy locally.

SLL were a delight to work with. They answered our questions immediately and always kept us up to date. The work started on the agreed date and was completed on schedule. We are delighted with our new home and have been happy to recommend SLL to several of our friends and associates.

I am a property developer with houses in South East London. We had a large number of building projects to be completed at the same time and decided to use the services of South London Lofts.

We met with Director of South London Lofts who explained how they had multiple teams and were therefore able to work on multiple jobs. Based on this we decided to work with Director of South London Lofts on a number of projects which normally consisted of a loft conversion and full house refurbishment.

Initially we were pleased
• Extremely competitive quotes
• The lofts conversions were happening quickly.

As the initial projects had started well, we engaged South London Lofts on additional projects.

In hindsight this was a terrible mistake.

The reality was South London Lofts do not have ‘teams of builders’ they instead subcontract out all of the work to other companies.

It then became apparent that these companies were only interested in completing the jobs as quickly and cheaply as possible. This meant at every possible opportunity the builders cut corners to save cost on labour and material.

Below are some of the examples of the resulting poor quality work:

• Incorrect plasterboard used in bathrooms. Instead of using moisture or water resistant plasterboard which is standard practice in bathrooms they used normal plasterboard and in some parts of the bathroom they didn’t use any plasterboard at all. This is now a huge job to remove the bathroom and all tiles to apply the correct plasterboard. We can only assume they didn’t use the correct plasterboard (or in some cases any plasterboard) to save time and money.

• Poor quality plumbing and as a result we constantly have issues with blocked drains and water not flowing, particularly if more than one shower is used at a time. The patio was also later re-laid by them just placing the paving slabs back on top of the rubble. No preparation, no cement.

• Water dripping from the floor above through the light socket. As a result of their shoddy plumbing, we have experienced multiple leaks and water dripping through ceilings on numerous occasions at different properties. We have had to undergo expensive repairs involving cutting ceiling and removing bathroom tiles to try and rectify these issues.

Fortunately, another building company was able to take over the projects and finish them but still to this day we experience problems and unexpected issues as a result of the poor building work done by South London Lofts sub-contractors.

The Director of South London Lofts does not answer our calls or respond to our emails.

It is extremely disappointing how the relationship has ended and we would have expected Director of South London Lofts to have taken responsibility rather than avoiding our calls and ignoring our emails.

To the Director of South London Lofts – when you read this message rather than spending the time writing a reply – why not give us a call?

Recently we are completed our loft and an kitchen rear extension with South London Lofts. What I can say? Great set of guys. Excelent quality, timing, communication. Here one more happy customer. Highly recommended.

Great building experience South London Lofts did our project recently.
And I have to say its fantastic, the new bathroom suite is a knockout feature, we supplied this and SLL installed and it also did the tiling.

Loft Conversion - Balham
Fantastic experience with our loft conversion done in Balham. Craig made the whole process run smoothly and explained things in great detail wherever we were unsure. The finish of the loft is fantastic and modern and now feels spacious and airy, which was exactly what we wanted!! LDC was approved as was building control. You will be in good hands with SLL!

We have been really pleased with our experience with SLL and have had no issues along the way. Each team was different, but all equally hard working, discreet and respectful of the job and being in our home. We appreciated that each day everything was tidied and hoovered which helped given we have two small children. Our PM (Paul) gave us a good breakdown of what would happen when and the loft was completed to an excellent standard over a 3 month period. We had issues with an external tradesperson we brought in (big mistake on my part) and the team helped to rectify what had gone wrong. We also found Brian in the sales team to be friendly, quick to respond and supportive throughout. We got the impression that a lot of the teams were from Lithuania and the are a credit to their country. We were lucky to have them and even neighbours walking past the house said how impressed they were with the respectfulness and hardworking ethic of SLL. Thank you.

We’re in Catford and South London Lofts have converted many lofts around our area, we’d popped in to check a couple of them, so after it was easy decision to give them the work, and we weren’t disappointed, we had an L shape dormer ...great job

They really did a fantastic job for me for me, rear dormer loft conversion with one bedroom and shower room ....Great tradesmen throughout, from the Paul the project manager, Arvis plumbing...Kes electrics... Nauris roofing, Renuis plastering, Zilvs 2nd fix carpentry.....also great back up in their office with their admin team, if I do another one when we move, I'll get these guy in again

We've got a bungalow, with a big loft. We had seen our neighbours convert their loft and it was a great addition with one large master bedroom and shower room/dressing room. We live slightly outside London but managed to convince South London Lofts to do a conversion for us as they had come highly recommended. They worked fast and the project manager was brilliant. The loft team were clean and respectful of our property throughout. We made the right decision with this company and got a wonderful pleasing loft conversion. Great Job.

The whole process went as planned with no major surprises, we now have a wonderful Loft conversion with an additional two bedrooms and shower room, we found the guys to be really polite and professional in their approach to the work and they have left us with a great Loft conversion, we fully recommend South London Lofts a great bunch of guys,

We had our loft finished a month ago, and experience we had with them was great.

South London Lofts were quick with the build. They did have few delays throughout the project, but project manager explained that delays are accounted within the timescale of loft conversion. Whatsoever we were ready to tile by 8th week, and shortly after our tiller finished, South London Lofts finished joinery and final plumbing installation.

Overly really happy with our new bedroom and bathroom in the loft.

After 4 quotes from various companies I’m glad I chose South London Lofts as I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Initially we only wanted two bedrooms in our loft conversation but was delighted to be told we could have two good sized bedrooms and an en-suite after a member of the team explained it would add value if ever we came to sell the property. The build itself was straight forward with no problems and completed in good time. As a whole the completed project is more than I could have dreamed of. Can’t thank the team enough :)
