Review of SNSG Security Ltd

I strongly advise anyone considering working for this company to stay away at all costs based on my personal experience.

In my opinion, the company operates in a very unprofessional and unfair way toward its security staff. Several serious issues I experienced include:

Holiday pay concerns: Guards were not paid double pay for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year’s Eve, despite working unsociable and high-risk hours.
Unpaid breaks deducted from wages: This is the first security company I’ve worked for that deducts pay for breaks in a way that can cost guards around £200 per month, significantly reducing take-home pay.
Unfair clock-in policy: If your shift starts at 18:00 and you clock in at 18:01, you lose 30 minutes of pay. In the security industry there is normally a 5–10 minute grace period, yet staff are penalised immediately. This means you can lose several hours of pay each month if you are not extremely careful. The company expects guards to follow industry standards but does not follow them itself.
Poor treatment of staff: The way guards are treated feels disrespectful and unsupportive.
Unpaid shifts during bad weather: On 8 January 2026, during severe weather, staff were told to go home but were not paid for the lost shift.
Employment status confusion: Despite being fully employed, staff are often treated as if they are on zero-hours contracts, creating insecurity and instability.

Overall, my experience left me feeling that the company is unprofessional and overly focused on profit rather than staff welfare. I believe these issues deserve attention and should be raised with the appropriate UK authorities.

I am very disappointed in this companys service that they provide thier staff. They wants us to work as professionals but to be honest they dont to the same back. They have no respect for any of the workers. They dont care for no ones mental health. They over work us and under pay us. There's too much favouritism they pick and choose certain people and who can take what holidays and disgard the rest of the staff. This has affected my mental health and self confidence that I dont feel comfortable working here. So I will hand in my notice and too whoever is trying to get a job there please dont I will save you the time as you are much better then this place as this place dont care for you or the time that you out Into the work that you do and no appreciation at all. So I highly recommend you find a different work place to work in. I hope this helps alot people who have been affected by working with this company.

Not sure if this is a security agency or a merchandise business. They force you to buy their jackets, ties, and other clothing, otherwise you’re not allowed to work. On top of that, management is biased, unprofessional, and unnecessarily rude. Overall, a very negative experience — I do not recommend working here.

This company are good at providing the service to venues etc…..,
BUT they do not care for staff welfare.. working a job walking the towns and no provisions of toilets or anywhere to get a drink on cold nights.., nowhere for staff to go when it’s hammering it down as you are not allowed in venues…
Management just patronise the staff.. and don’t care for staff safety and welfare… no PPE or first aid kits provided when dealing with drunk or sick people.. Just an all round bad company to work for…

Having known the company through my work as a security manager at the Commonwealth Games and their exceptional performance I was requested to support the safety officer at the recent Para World swimming championships in Manchester this was for close protection of a World class player from Brazil

From my initial contact with SNSG in July I have found them a great security firm to work with. I cannot fault their attention to detail and they were at the end of the phone when I needed advice in planning the event.The day of the event the Door Supervisors turned up on time and were very smart & professional. We were hosting an evening with Frank Bruno MBE so we/the club wanted to give a great impression to our personality & guests. I have no hesitation in recommending SNSG and look forward to working with them again real soon.

I am the director of a CQC Regulated Independent Ambulance Service, and we recently worked alongside SNSG for a 10-day event. We did regular medical simulations with the director and duty supervisors, alongside day-to-day interactions. The team were fantastic. They were keen, insightful and provided a level of support and professionalism which stood out in comparison to other providers. I hope to work together in the future!

I was a volunteer at the Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester and Snsg did the security at the event. I was very impressed with the staff. All were approachable, pro-active and helpful whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times. I worked for this company unfortunately their policy on mental health or the mental well-being of its staff is woefully inadequate,I had an issue and definitely wasn't feeling mentally strong, SNSG had the response of just terminating my employment,there was zero concern for my wellbeing just a line manager contacting me and unhappy because I couldn't make a shift
