Smartyplants has easily been the best investment I've made when it comes to knowing how to care for my plants. I use my sensors indoors and on my balcony to eliminate the need for guesswork and to counter my inexperience. The team are responsive and supportive. I'm in the process of buying more but being able to move the sensors in between plants has been such a useful feature in the meantime. I can't recommend it enough!

I was relly excited to buy this product. It sounded like exactly what I need to keep tabs on my large collection of plants. I even emailed it to loads of of my family and friends who were also really enthusiastic and wanted to give it a try.

So imagine my disappointment when after 2
Hours of trying I couldn’t get the sensor to connect to my wifi.
No matter I thought one of the things I noticed was the promised fast human response to problem
Waited a day. Nothing. Emailed again. Nothing emailed again and I received a pathetic
Generic response that looked like it was AI generated… certainly it didn’t address my issues.
Sadly I’m done wasting my valuable time. If you. Can’t be bothered to help a new customer get started then you are not a company intend to support. Needless to say you won’t be getting any sales from my family and friends.

I just want my money back and nothing more to do with you.

If you don’t understand that you need to provide fast responsive customer service to help new customers get started then quite frankly you don’t deserve to succeed.

Brilliant product. Was sceptical in the beginning but cannot say enough how great this is. No more guessing and my plant looks so more healthier and happier. Thank you.

I've been on the hunt for some technology to help me with my plants for quite some time, after acquiring a plant in a sale. At the time I couldn't find anything suitable and alas I inadvertently over watered the plant and killed it.

Yes I tried to find out what I was doing wrong through taditional methods, but without the information for the specific problem, every website I went to for advice advised the opposite of the last, too much water, too little water, too dark, too cold, too warm etc. Basically they didn't know because they couldn't relate to the exact circumstances I experienced.

I kept my eye on the market and found items such as Willow, but I just didn't want, yet another hub for another smarthome ecosystem cluttering up my space. Xiaomi's offering didn't work in the UK and they all had problems. A few others just weren't right.

I was gifted another plant from a friend and this spurred my search again and I finally stumbled upon Smartyplants which appearred to hit all the marks. All the data points I wanted (Temp, Humidity, Light, Moisture and Nutrients) without the faff of a hub, plus being a British company, that was the cherry on top! I was slightly sceptical as there was little information or reviews out there but I decided to go for it. I have to say, I'm really happy I did.

The products did take a little bit longer than I had hoped to arrive, but this was clearly due to Royal Mail over the Easter weekend.

Once they did arrive, I was impressed by the packaging and the products design, especially the satisfying click of the soil probe into the sensor head. I got them straight onto charge as required by the instructions. It did take more time than I expected to charge but for something such as this, you don't really need quick charge.

The set up and link to the app was fairly simple, so long as you follow the instructions and click exactly when it states, but my first two were set up pretty quickly. I love the ability to select the exact plant (though it would be helpful to see the colloquial name in the seach dropdown to help with picking the exact one), what the size of pot is, the type of soil you've used and give your plants a name. Adding a photo of the plant is also a really nice touch to make the app personal to you.

It's really quick to get your first readings from the plant, just by pressing the button once on the device. Updates are then provided automatically every hour through the WiFi. The data is shown in a graph in either daily or weekly views with a good colour coding scheme to see at a glance if the plant is happy or what you might need to do. The 'high' and 'low' markings on the graph also help ensuring you're comfortably in range. I would like to be able to drill down a bit further in the graphs to see specific info from a specific time. The app summary also highlights wich plants might need attention at the time.

Each plant page gets tips and tricks for looking after the plant, such as where to place it etc. I would like to see in the plant library some quick at a glance icons with info about the plant, as I do use this to decide on what plants to get next. I would also like to see a widget to put on your phones homescreen to see it at a glance without needing to open the app.

The app and sensors has really boosted my confidence that I can invest in plants for my home, and I felt comfortable enough to purchase more plants as a result of the product. I'll be ordering more sensors ready to expand my jungle even more.

I think i'll even be buying a few of these, for my 'horticulturally challenged' friends and family, as a gift for Birthday or Christmas this year!

TL;DR: This is a excellent product, which has given me confidence to purchase new plants, by giving hourly Temp, Humidity, Light, soil moisture and nutrients data and how they are working for a plant, to ensure I am keeping my plants happy, healthy and thriving.

I bought a Smartyplant sensor when my plant wasn’t growing well and started to look like it might die. It turned out the nutrient levels were off. After adjusting those and improving our watering habits (we were overwatering), the results were incredible. Within just a couple of months, the plant almost doubled in size.

It’s an amazing product, and it comes in beautiful packaging. The setup can be a bit tricky, but it’s absolutely worth the effort.

I cannot recommend Smarty Plants enough! As someone with a notoriously "heavy hand" when it comes to watering, this kit has been an absolute game-changer.

Premium Quality: You can tell right out of the box that this isn't some cheap gimmick. Everything feels high-end, durable, and thoughtfully designed.

Brilliant Concept: The tech behind it is so intuitive. It has already saved several of my plants from certain "drowning" and continues to keep my watering regime in check.

Lovely Team: Beyond the product itself, the team behind Smarty Plants is wonderful. Their passion for plant care really shines through in their customer support and overall vibe.

If you’re a "helicopter plant parent" who tends to overwater, or if you just want to take the guesswork out of plant care, get this kit. Your plants will thank you!

Got these as a gift at Christmas and I absolutely love them! I also love their customer service they are so fast and efficient and actual solve any problems! I really love this company and I am saving up to buy more sensors!!! If you are a plant lover GET THEM!

I am really impressed with SmartyPlants sensor. It makes plant care so much easier. It is a good monitor product with a great team behind it. Would definitely recommend 👍

Simple, recyclable packaging with exactly what was purchased. Delivered on time and with ease. Easy to setup via the app and the product itself. My only issues are no charging cable and the light reader is a hit and miss sometimes. I have a glow light which sometimes doesnt pick up despite moving the sensor at different angles. Great app layout with some information to improve areas but with this great sunny weather , glowlight and the sensor saying its too dark i can only give this a 4 star.

Sad to see such a negative review after our experience. We (wife and me) had difficulty pairing the sensor too. We got a reply the same day though. When we still had difficulty (my fault not theirs) I even got a call from the founder Ben (great guy). He took me through the process and made it super clear. He told me they're updating their process to make it even easier in future.

They are a relatively new company and super passionate about what they've built.

I was really impressed with the service we received and I'm excited for our monsterra to last a lot longer now.

This is an excellent idea and I bought three for my partners birthday.

We have spent an entire day trying to get them working. Support is non existent with no replies or acknowledgment via email. One device has eventually paired correctly, but the other two are not connecting at all and simply come up with an error saying contact support…… really helpful.

At the moment I can only recommend that people stay away from this product as it clearly doesn’t work.
