I couldn't afford repairs to my Peugeot Partner Tepee so I had to get what I could for it. Shore Cars offered the best price but knocked me down by £500 on collection because there were other problems with the car which would cost them more money to repair. But they didn't repair it. It went straight to auction for over £7,800 when they paid me just £1,200. It seems they often knock down the price on collection, even though they say in advance a 'no quibble' quote.

Unfortunately my Range Rover engine seized and repairs were too expensive for me to consider. I went via Scrap Car Comparison and Shore Cars (under the name of A2B Collections) gave me an offer above other competitors. I wanted the car gone as soon as possible but the collection needed to be part of a route with other cars. I had some communications from the office but needed to do some chasing there were a few days of radio silence.

When the transport arrived, the driver called the day before to confirm timing and he (Dominic) was very punctual. After testing the car and taking a video/pictures of the vehicle he sent these to his boss and I was told I would receive a phone call. Around 25minutes later, Kirk called to discuss the quote. Due to the seats not being full leather (this wasn’t written by me but the middleman helping me sell this) and one tyre needing replacing, I was offered around £600 less but with some negotiation it was taken up to £500. Kirk did tell me the car was in very good condition and it would be repaired and resold. Very honest and clear, I just couldn’t afford to do this myself.

I was a little apprehensive about having my car taken when reading the reviews but I just agree with the previous comments of: if you’re honest about the state of your car, your quote will be accurate.

Unfortunately I did not check the reviews on this company before going ahead with there offer. Although this would of been difficult as they are calling themselves A2b collections now... I only found out it was shore as they have not changed there WhatsApp photo ! A price was agreed and a deposit paid into my bank account so I could not sell the car to anywhere else while they arranged collection. As soon as they turned up I was told to wait and there finance team would give me a call to arrange payment before they loaded the car. I waited 30 mins or so only to get a call to be told the car was not as described?? And that the car has an oil leak ? He then told me he did not deal In scrap cars and only did them up to sell ! I had clearly described the car was scrap and that the body work was poor and it had a major engine fault. He then tried to tell me the car was basically worth nothing and he would be losing money enen if he paid me less than what they originally offered ! Pure scam tactics. In all the previous communication there was no mention of a price change on day of collection being a possibility. I the end I was forced to take a lower price as the car had to go. This is what they prey on, they know your trying to scrape a car and once there truck is there your in a position to have to get rid. The guy on the phone made it feel like he was doing me a favour! What a scam ! Do not use this company..there are plenty of other scrap collection company's that do not use these tactics. Be very aware !

Sold my car to Shore Car this morning and was a great process from start to finish, very polite and kept to price agreed.

Dealt with Kirk today on a vehicle, very polite and professional service, offered a very reasonable price which was accepted.
Whole process has been easy and stress free, the guy who collected the vehicle was also polite & professional.

Agreed a price of £1500, the guy who came said that the car was exactly as I described for the offer, having read reviews I was sceptical and sure enough after inspection and when rang (which appears normal practice) they allegedly had found some faults that I would not have known about, according to them. I believe there was nothing else wrong with the car an indeed was worth a lot more, in fact I was offered more but had an agreement which I do not break. They clearly have this sharp practice on a regular basis, I feel absolutely robbed but had to accept the offer of £1300 to clear my drive for a new car that was coming. Playing sharp practice is bad enough but on the elderly is unforgivable. I expect the same thing happens to most people but others do not write a report. they clearly offered £1500 accepted it as I said the condition was but had to screw more money out of me. I would never trust a Company like this and shop around elsewhere is my advice.

I agreed a price for salvage and despite repeated calls from me they never turned up.
Never contacted me, just nothing.
Wasted my time and I incurred extra storage charges.
Yes they make a good offer, but an offer is meaningless if they never turn up.

I was pleased with the simplicity of it all, they were easy to keep in contact with, kept me informed with everything that was happening, they were upfront with what they were going to do with it and I was pleased the car would live on to fight another day and they paid the price I was offered which was in my account within minutes of closing the deal on the phone.

Dave and Jim were very honest and polite, they explained fully what we were buying and its history (to the best of their knowledge) they totally leave you alone to make up your own mind.
Don't be put off by the location when visiting, this is how they keep their prices reasonable. We had a small hick up on the paperwork side of things, but Dave went out of his way to get it resolved very quickly.
Q. Would we use their services again? A. Yes.

Bought BMW 3 series with a new timing chain in December. The vehicle is driving just how it should be. David was very helpful and the other chap I forgot his name, was great fun letting me take the car for a test drive,. Will recommend to family and friends. They didn't try to sell me extras and there were no hidden costs.

They honoured the figure agreed prior to the collection visit.

Brilliant. Agreed a price Driver came looked over car paid what was agreed. I was totally honest with them so there was no discrepancy. Paid straight away. Really kind and friendly would defo recommend.

A legit outfit who will pay the agreed price, so long as the car is accurately described in sufficient detail (including any areas of damage). A little tip would be to email photos of the vehicle to Kirk in advance, to give you peace of mind regarding the agreed price. If a third party is negotiating the price on your behalf, ensure that the third party properly records any areas of damage on their system.

Well what can I say, excellent stunning customer service from Kirk. Phone, they answer, call you back when they say they will. As a very busy mummy, fitted in around my schedule, no complaints. I could not be more happy with the service I received. Words can not explain !

Simple and straightforward dealing, met the towing man 9:30 in the morning, took about 20minute for the paperwork to come through then bam, payment straight into my bank account.no complaints on my end!

Same as I've seen others have said. They inflate the price so they seem the most attractive at the time then won't pay you the agreed price. I explained In detail the nature of the problem with the car and then they said they couldn't pay me the agreed price because of the problem. Not fair either as if I had pulled out of the sale before they came, I apparently would have to pay them 600 pounds for there inconvenience. I would avoid this company.
