Ordered doors at the beginning of May. No sign of the doors and have requested a refund since at least September. It is now December and still no refund, no doors. Complete con artists, full of excuses.
I would avoid at all costs, caused me no amounts of stress, chasing this for months and months with no joy.
I have an unfinished kitchen, no doors to close off to small children and the owner couldn’t care less. He’s happy to leave me in this position for over half a year.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Do not use this business. I orderd a Julian Bowen table from them in mid Oct for delivery 2 weeks later. I never received confirmation and the table never arrrived. After many emails letter and sporadic communication (their phone lines are rarely ever picked up and they rarely respond to emails), I finally heard back when I asked my bank to reverse the transaction. Despite cancelling the order and numerous requests for a refund they now insist on delivering the table in Dec that I have since purchased on Amazon. I still have not received the refund that I was informed was under review by the accounts department a fortnight ago.STAY AWAY!!!

I ordered 3 doors on the 13th July costing me over £500 I still haven’t received these doors, chase Up emails ignored and phone unanswered. I full believe this company is a complete con. Do not use!

Do not trust this company, I ordered doors and they confirmed the order , after that they do not answer the phone and if you email they don't respond. This company cannot be trusted

Placed an order on 25th October. Had to chase a week later for delivery timescales and was advised 7th November - nothing arrived. After some chasing one item (out of a three) was delivered, but this was £120 worth of a total of £860. I am still waiting for the rest as of the date of this review.
Have sent in excess of 20 emails and get an occasional responses with various reasons (excuses) for slipping timescales and vague indications of revised delivery dates. It normally takes a number of chases to get a reply.
I’ve even called them a few times with no success in getting the items. On one call I was even hung up on by a rather abrupt person from this company.
I wish I had looked at Trust Pilot before using this company.
As with any purchase, I advise buying with a credit card so you have a line of recourse should anything go wrong.
I hope this review helps others avoid this company.

Edit: I strongly advise users of Trust Pilot to consider Sethco’s response to my original (negative) review in light of all the other (negative) reviews here on Trust Pilot. I have a full audit trail of emails that are very much to the contrary of what they claim in their response.
Also consider how they feel it is appropriate to refer to me by name.
If you do decide to use this company, please do make sure you pay by credit card so you have a line of recourse via chargeback.

Edit 16/12/2022:
After leaving this negative review, a second item was delivered - albeit a week after advised. However, this still leaves the final item outstanding. Despite numerous promises from the company (again after multiple chaser emails) they have failed to deliver. I have sent over 30 emails in total now and the last three over the past two days remain unanswered. I was given the owners ‘word’ on 28/11/2022 they would deliver my items the next week - guess what? They didn’t come good on their ‘word’! My advice remains at a steer well clear.

DON’T pay by Bank Transfer, always use Visa or Mastercard to get protection.
They don’t deliver and the don’t refund your payment.
I have been waiting for a refund of £553.00 from an order placed on 22nd April 2022. It is now 25 November.
I am so very sad about them. Please don’t give them your
Money.

I would like to advise to anyone who has been affected by this fraudulent company to do the followings :

1) contact your bank and request for a refund for this purchase transaction
2) contact your citizen advice consumer services to raise your issue and also contact the Redcar & Cleveland Trading Standards, Guisborough, TS14 7FD to raise the inappropriate business practice of this company, who is currently handing my case.
It is very important to stop this company to make any future consumers fall into its trap of fraudulent business.

This is my second review of SethcoDoorStore, as they had the first one removed (couldn't handle the truth I guess!)
I ordered 10 doors total £1350 and after chasing Sethco for weeks to get find the delivery status to no avail, I decided to call the manufacturer to find out if they had ever received an order from Sethco. I was told by the manufacturer that my order was on hold because of a "problem with Sethco" - I can only assume that they hadn't paid the manufacturer to release them. I understand that Sethco is no longer identified as an approved Supplier by them.
18 phone calls/messages/emails and a letter later, I had had no response from the Fraudster in Chief (**Name Redacted due to TrustPilot Policy**).
I have now got a CCJ against the company and will be using Baliffs to recover my money.
Just another example of rip-off Britain where scammers like this with no ethics are allowed to continue trading and being directors of companies.

The order I placed on 19/8 didn't arrive, neither did the refund I was promised on 21/9 when someone finally answered the phone (they ignored multiple emails and voice messages). I’ve reported them to trading standards and the police and I hope that, as I paid on my credit card, I will get my money back.

I’ve left a few reviews - one removed because had the cheek to report one for being damaging to his company!!!! Spends a lot of time on here with false promises but from the reviews doesn’t actually sort or fix any of the problems of refunds or honouring any outstanding orders. Anyway I still have not received a refund direct from John or Sethcodoorstore. As others have stated I have been a victim of fraud. I have reported this company to Action Fraud, Trading Standards, Citizens Advice Bureau and my bank.

John no more excuses/false promises. Please respond as to when I will get my refund from you

Placed an order for 9 doors which were apparently in stock. No sign of the doors 5 months later. Emailed multiple times NEVER got any response. Phoning them was pointless, when you finally get through to somebody they just tell you their manager will phone you back but never do. Thankfully got a refund after getting the bank involved.

STAY AWAY!

Awaiting a refund on a door ordered in July with an August delivery date. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when it didn't arrive. No communication unless I chase them and they have ignored my request for a refund. Small Claims Court beckons...

UPDATE 4 Jan 2023 - Still no refund! I can see there are many people with similar experience to mine, think court is the only option. This company needs to be shut down.

I have been waiting for refund since June after they failed to deliver the door in the first place. They dont answer their phones, they keep giving false promises on emails, just terrible. Not even sure if the business exists or if it’s just someone scamming people!

Ordered a door - seemed a good price and a reasonable delivery window. We needed it within that week.

7 weeks later still nothing. Have sent both emails via the official address with no reply and rung them too with a fairly unhelpful female rep on the phone who offered no apology, seemed to suggest I might be mistaken and advised me she would come back within the week. She never did.

Clearly no urgency or sense of responsibility that they’ve had my money for over 6 weeks and I’m still without the door and having to again, delay the joiner.

So relieved I bought the item using PayPal so have at least managed to secure my refund with or without their cooperation.

I bought a bookcase from this company in June - it arrived, beautiful and great experience. I decided as a result to order the matching desk - big mistake! Paid in June and like others, been given a long list of excuses as to why I haven’t received it, requested a refund which was never received, emails gone unanswered etc etc. finally got money back through credit card company. Think twice before you order from here as there is clearly something wrong with how this company is operating.

I am still awaiting contact from you. I have now reported the breach of contract to Citizens Advice Bureaux and to the Local Government Trading Standards section for your business.

Everyone can now see (despite the rogue comments "its a great company" posts Zedd Zorander, come on!) to not order anything from you. One of the super plus comments has now disappeared.

Taking anyone's money and not supplying the goods is awful. Taking Charity money is abysmal.

Yet again, I have sent you another email.
One to customer services and one to admin.
My emails are marked as high priority and they always have 'delivery receipts' on them and also 'read receipts'.
As you have not read the others I have sent and which have been marked as delivered, (or those sent by my door fitter), I am hoping YOU READ THESE.

Strange, odd and rather timely? how so many people jumped up and said how marvellous your service is! after I sent the minus one star!!

Just like other people I have placed an order with this company, the funding for which is coming from a Charity. I have repeatedly asked them to tell me why the door has not been delivered and my fitter has also asked for a refund. There is no problem with the stock as the supplier to Sethcodoorstore has the door in all the sizes available.
My order was placed and paid for in July. If I dont hear anything by Wednesday (26/10) I shall take action via both the credit card company and trading standards

Shocking Company complete Scam operating under several names I wouldn't even give them 1 star they take your money and then fob you off with all sorts of excuses

This is my third review of Sethcodoorstore.
Needless to say the promise of a refund being issued was yet another lie. The delaying tactic this time was blaming 'business banking'
I really hope the bad practices this company uses means that the authorities put a stop to them trading.
They are causing a lot of stress and upset to public customers who cannot afford to lose their hard earned money.
Pure cowboy outfit and it's shameless the way they carry on stealing from us.
25/10/22 received a refund after badgering daily.
The door was clearly never ordered and I was fed a pack of lies from start until the refund was received. Have reported this company to Trading Standards.

Basically stole my money
Basically stole my money. I placed an order in May for one door, they lied about when it was coming. They clearly never ordered it. Now saying to choose a different door because they don't use that supplier anymore. The door is still advertised on the website. Have requested a refund but they're ignoring me. Dreadful customer service

Update late August 2022: after requesting a refund that did not materialise, I had to ask my bank to step in to retrieve funds (received within 48 hours). If you paid via CC and the item was over £100, this will be the best way to get your money back as SethCoDoorStore will not give you the promised refund, despite emails and paperwork showing it’s been ‘actioned’.
August 2022: Terrible experience of this company. When I initially ordered (late April 2022) I was contacted (early May) to say the doors had gone out of stock and would be due a few weeks later (early June). I was happy to wait but was not contacted again.
Chased up via email on 30th June and again on 5th July with no response. Called a couple of days later and was told they would look into it. Email received back on 6th July advising doors were in stock and should be hearing from delivery team soon. No further communication received.
Chased again 2nd August to be told they had a security breach meaning all orders had to be re-processed...my order was placed in April!
I responded asking if my doors were actually in stock, only to receive an automated message back. I responded again saying I wasn't happy and they re-sent the same automated message.
Asked for a manager to call - nothing.
Called - no answer.
Called the following day - someone answered and said the manager was in a meeting (convenient). Asked to hold, only to be left. Finally got through to the same person again and have requested a full refund due to lack of service.
I would not recommend this company as they cannot fulfil their orders. I will be re-ordering elsewhere and will avoid Sethcodoorstore at all costs moving forward.

Ordered flooring mid September and then got an email a few days later saying it was being processed by the delivery team.

That was the last thing I heard! I then emailed with no reply, then called a couple of days later.

I was given a delivery date for the following week (which came as an email reply after ringing to chase it up).

The delivery date/time came and went and there was nothing!

I rang the next day saying nothing had arrived and was questioned on why I was given this date (which I informed them it was given to me by the company).

Over a month after the first order I raised a claim via PayPal who refunded my money!

I also find it strange that the 3 or 4 times I've rung the office, there is no company name given (either in person or on the voice mail), this was a red flag for me!

Trust me and avoid!
