Got a quote of £54 for my laptop which seemed reasonable so I sent it off.

After a few days I got an email saying there were some issues meaning they could only offer £10:

1) keyboard paint finish was "worn" even though all letters and numbers were clearly legible. I could accept this as it was 8 years old but did seem slightly pedantic.

2) pixel damage to screen meaning full replacement required. There were 100% no problems when I sent the laptop which was packaged securely in original box. I have photos to prove this.

Therefore I was offered £10 which I reluctantly accepted. My advice would be not to use this firm but if you do take date and time stamped photos of your item before posting.

I have at least been paid unlike some people on this forum.

Sold my laptop to them. Sent it and was delivered. Never heard back and never got paid...

Easy process and true to their word they gave me more than other laptop recycle companies or Curry's trade in. Great! Thanks - much appreciated.

I stupidly sent my laptop to this company before reading the reviews and now I sorely wish I hadn't. My laptop was in good working condition and I was given a quote for £77. I printed off the postage labels provided (Royal Mail 48hr) and posted it off. I emailed the company after 2 days to enquire if my laptop had arrived and was told it hadn't, but that I would get an email when it did.

Fast forward two days later to today, and I received an automated email to say that my laptop had arrived on 15th (the day I enquired) and was undergoing testing. Four minutes later I received another email to say that due to the 'damage to the screen' my quote was now £10.

I asked the company to provide evidence of this damage and they sent me a photo of my laptop, which is absolutely filthy and has a huge crack across the screen.

Needless to say, I am furious and have asked for it back, although I think that is the last I have seen of it.

Please avoid at all costs.

Great company, I got the offer that I was quoted online and a cheque was sent within a few days. Would definitely recommend unlinked the ‘We Buy Any Phone’ company.

Avoid this company at all costs, They are daylight robbers and do not do what they claim on website. I filled out online quote form detailing there was a tiny piece of the corner missing on laptop cover, got quoted £101 so went ahead with the sale only for them to email 48hrs after receiving laptop, saying they can't honour quote as there was a tiny piece of the corner missing and can only offer £60, I reluctantly accepted as I didn't trust what standard I would get my laptop back if I refused lower offer for them to take nearly 72hrs to make payment. When I complained I was told that I have to wait for payment because it is an automated payment system and they didn't even entertain the fact they went back on there original price even though I told them about the damage from the start.

I sent my laptop off to this company, I had checked and the laptop was working fine when I sent it to them. However, I got an e-mail to say the laptop wasn't booting and they could offer me less than half of what they had quoted me. I declined as I was pretty annoyed (and just for the principal of it), as it was definitely working fine when I sent it (I was even using it up until the day I sent it to them). I asked for them to return the laptop back to me and now see that the fault must have been caused at their end, as yes, it now isn't booting. Also when they sent the laptop back to me it wasn't in the original laptop box I sent it in. Now am trying to find another company to buy it faulty. I'm not happy at all.

This company should be reported to Rouge Traders on Watchdog. They are not to be trusted.
I have had a similar problem as Derek who published his review on 12th April 2017, as well as Katie Mumby who published a review on 26th April 2017.
I have had virtually the same problems with this company who give you a high price to start with, however when they receive your laptop, they tell you there are some faults with it so they half the original price. I should have been more careful, as two other companies web sites had originally quoted half of what Sell your laptop originally stated, then of course when they said about the so called faults (which were noted on there website when inputting details of laptop). Of course they then half the original price given. I requested my laptop to be returned to me, which it was, however it was not in a working condition when returned. What a bunch of crooks.
DO NOT TRUST THEM DO NOT USE THEM.

I'm happy to have found a company to buy my 5 year old laptop at a fair price. While I received $20 less than was quoted, I still thought it was fair. the quote process was quick, I didn't have to pay for shipping to send it in, and I received a check in the mail within just a few days after accepting the offer.

Sent laptop.
After 3 weeks it stills says 'awaiting delivery' on the website.
No response to emails and no response to phone calls.
Scam perhaps?

Just stole my laptop as never paid me for it and now won't send it back or reply to my many attempts at contact AVOID IT it's a SCAM

A fast and efficient way to recycle old laptops-and you get paid! It was so easy I wonder why I hadn't done it sooner!

I found this company via Google search Prior to this, everyone I spoke to about the laptop I was selling told me it was worthless! Windows Vista=end of life! Yet it looks fine and works fine. What a waste it would have been to just dump it. Not only has it gone to a worthy and brilliant cause, I got cash for it too! 😜

My partner waited in all day but DPD did not show to collect. She tried the contact number but it went straight to a recorded message. Just awful service, good luck if you use them.

Tried twice to book a courier collection through the website, received a prompt response to my message and everything went super smoothly once I resorted to the self postage option.

Why bother with the hassle of trying to sell a dis-used laptop anywhere else? This company gives you a very fair price for your old laptop, the whole process is so simple and payment is super fast. I like the postal options to best suit your needs too. If they are as good as their word in deleting everything on the hard drive for you too then this is a no-brainer way to dispose of unwanted laptops. Highly recommended.

So easy, perfect sized packaging with pre-paid postage provided by them. Posted on a Thursday afternoon and had money in my account on Friday!! Excellent service.

Sell your laptop sticks to its promises ; quick service, quick payment and pays what it quoted. Had bad experience with fonebank when selling phone, but top marks for sell your laptop
