Avoid these like the plague

One star is too good a rating for this company.
While you are an owner it’s nothing but hard sell every time and that’s if you can actually book anything.
Over the years resorts disappeared from the portfolio leaving less choice.
Sold as an investment. Promised great returns at the end of the contract or get another however many years free. Except not free as you have to pay maintenance, not something that was mentioned all those years ago.
Our ownership ran out over 12 months ago yet we’ve not received a penny of anything that was promised.
Miss sold does not even cover the half of it.
I do not believe a single one of the positive reviews at all.
Absolutely no way could this company ever get 5 stars.
Happy to update this review if this company ever makes good on its promises.

Most unimpressed with the maintenance of the unit that we stayed in at Whitbarrow Village. In desperate need of redecorating. Rusty radiators, peeling paint on them. Silicone bodged up by possibly a three year old. Hanging recessed spot lights. Ceiling electrical socket hanging off the ceiling. Dogs continually barking.

Leisure centre steam room out of order. Seasons seem to be cramming more units in too. Changing what was a nice resort into a holiday caravan park.

Beware of a £100 security deposit. Not supposed to be charged just authorised on card. Yet it is taken.

I was invited to join Seasons forum…

I was invited to join Seasons forum page by its management and I’m still waiting as it looks a very interesting page. I have just edited this post on 8 July a day after writing this article and I see that my application has been rejected.
I’m so glad they’ve been in touch with me after all this time, as they suspended my partners membership and sent us a legal correspondence to say they were going to sue us for making defamatory statements. This was of course incorrect, but the underlying problem is that they still haven’t pursued their legal actions and it is now 19 months later and we are without our holiday access that we bought.
It is clear to me, that we as owners who bought investments in this company, are no longer cared for and it feels to me as if it’s a personal vendetta too . Well, that’s my opinion, I’m sure if you were told to contact them you’d try like me, but possibly lots of people are in similar positions to me.
I think they should at least litigate if they felt that their decision had substance and considered lawful but they haven’t so we have to ask the question why?
I hope nobody else has to endure what we are! But unfortunately that is not the case

We took a weeks break at Whitbarrow…

We took a weeks break at Whitbarrow Holiday village for the first time a couple of weeks ago after many enjoyable holidays in Slaley. We thought we would try somewhere different and slightly closer to home for the first time and we weren't disappointed. The holiday village was very clean and smart and our apartment was well appointed with a super kitchen and spotlessly clean. Although we didn't dine in the restaurant, we did have drinks in the bar and sat out on the terrace and I have to say the staff were great and very friendly. Just want to mention a big thanks to Yvonne at the village reception who found a bag we accidently left in the car park when we were packing to go home (Yes I know, rather stupid of us!) .Yvonne kept it safe for us until we collected it the day after. We spent most of our time in nearby Keswick which is about 20 minutes down the road and other nearby places we loved was the village of Greystoke and the nearby Horse and Farrier pub in Threlfield.

Do not buy without doing intensive research

We have had a very bad experience with this company. They have changed our contract several times without discussion. Now we are coming to the end of our term, there is pressure to upgrade, but also nothing is as promised at time of sale. We have been stopped from using our holiday allowance. But there is help and advise for members, please search.

Stay spoilt by pressure selling

Dylan Coastal Resort luxury lodges are lovely with amazing views, despite the steep hills and steps necessary to access most lodges. A courtesy bus is available. Unfortunately, as usual, you have to suffer the bullying tactics of the sales staff. Like other Keys owners, we were told unless we spent more money to upgrade our keys contract, we would be liable for maintenance charges on the luxury spa hotel involved in our fractional share, if it wasn't sold at end of the contract period. A multi million pound hotel where we were not entitled to use the accommodation. I don't think so.
This is a shame as it spoilt our stay at this lovely resort.

STAY CLEAR

I have been a Seasons member for some years now, originally with a membership that didn’t finish until 2062.
At the time of joining, I was promised 5 star accommodation for life as long as I paid a maintenance fee each year. On death the membership would pass to my family.
Needless to say, the accommodation on offer grew tired over the years and the holiday choices diminished. Being dissatisfied with the company, I consulted a legal advice company about terminating my contract but this was going to be very costly.
Six years ago, I was persuaded to pay £10k upfront to upgrade my membership, for a seven year period. I was given a tour of a luxury lodge to illustrate the standard of accommodation that I would be getting. Because this cancelled my 2062 membership, I chose to pay and initially, had beautiful accommodation at Slayley and Belton Woods. However, nearing the end of my term, I am now being told that I have to book a year in advance for the popular resorts.
My last break was a disaster, as we were put in a lodge with extremely difficult access and carrying luggage and shopping down to it was exhausting for two 77 year olds. We left, after one night having, apparently been given the last remaining lodge available.
A season’s representative rang the following day and left a message for me to call back, which I did, but, the time wasn’t appropriate. I was promised a call the following day but this didn’t happen.
I feel that the booking system and customer service is appalling. You find you are at the mercy of whoever answers the call and have to trust their integrity.
On our visit, we noticed a number of lodges were not occupied in much more favourable positions, yet we were not offered one of these. The website for members, should give booking access, but doesn’t.
I certainly would not recommend anyone to take up a membership with this company.

Absolutely shocking standard of…

Absolutely shocking standard of accommodation at Whitbarrow Village.
Very disappointing experience over the last couple of years with Seasons where they have made using our ‘sleeps 8’ timeshare virtually impossible to book anywhere feasible. We've had several lovely weeks over 15 years but sadly the current maintenance fee of £728 is way out of sync with the choices on offer. We live in the Northeast of England.
We’ve now returned our certificate of ownership without compensation leaving a very nasty taste in our mouths. Perhaps this is their objective

Can Seasons be trusted?

Recently, my wife and I received a letter informing us that Seasons had received an offer for Brunston Castle, in which we had an interest called 36 Keys, with the right to occupy sleep 8 at any Seasons resort. The letter went on to say we needed to make an appointment to discuss our options, which we had been told, in 2013, "at the end of the contract, in 2028, we could either have our money back, as a result of the sale of Brunston Castle, or enjoy another 16 years of holidays".
At the meeting, on the 10/05/2025, we were presented with 3 options
1) the sale of Brunston Castle would give us about £1300, a fraction of what we've invested.
2) hang on to the investment, but we were told we could be liable for maintenance fees if the property was not sold. There was no mention of another 16 years of holidays.
3) now for the good news, Seasons would negate the maintenance charges by taking back the remaining 5 weeks of our contract, in exchange they would give us 28 nights holiday and two years membership of Interval International for an additional sum from us of £9950. At first we reluctantly said yes but on reflection we said no. Seasons were not honoring their side of the contract and they wanted me to pay.

Yesterday 07/05/2025 we received a letter saying we couldn't use our remaining weeks at two of the resorts managed by Seasons, namely Slaley Hall and Belton Woods. The two events might have been a coincidence, but this is now in addition to the Dylan Coastal resort which was barred in December 2022.
So if you are thinking of getting involved with Seasons, (and their sales people are very good), our advice would be, think again.

Seasons Holidays Disaster

I suggest - Do not trust this company.

My experience recently with this company has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The way the Keys products were sold felt misleading, and I believe many customers would not have agreed to the terms had everything been made clear from the start. The end-of-contract process is vague and raises serious concerns about transparency. Being told I would incur unexpected 'upkeep fees' unless I purchased another product felt like pressure tactics rather than fair business practice. I strongly urge potential customers to be cautious and thoroughly review all terms before signing anything.

Contracted options, at end of term, are no longer available and standard of accomodation (according to contract should be luxury) is extremently poor at Dylan Coastal resort.

The company will not respond to requests to resolve this - @Seasons Holidays Plc. do not try your standard response on here, just resolve issues directly.

Questionable integrity of Season

My husband and I recently returned from Club Tahiti where we were encouraged to upsell for another 7 year contract. This was suggested because our current contract where we bought into Seaham Hall, ends in 2028 and that if all 'Keys' are not sold at the end of our contract, we will be liable for maintenance costs until all are sold.
The main reason we bought our 'Keys' some years ago, was to get away from maintenance fees. We have thoroughly gone through our original contract and nowhere does it state what they now claim.
Since returning we have sent back our cancellation of the 'new up-sale' with covering letter to both Tahiti and their main office and there will be no surprise to hear, we have had no response from either, most un-professional and leaves Seasons integrity somewhat questionable.
This forum has been most helpful in seeing many other Season customers in the same situation. We shall NOT investing any further monies into Seasons.

“We did have one member who, after 23 years of membership and over 48 complaint free holidays, inexplicably started to make unfounded online/social media allegations against us, not dissimilar to this one. It appeared that they were attempting to orchestrate a pay-out.

All sorts of legal threats were made by that member (predominantly posturing online, rather than direct) but after they actually took legal advice, unsurprisingly, nothing came of it.

We do not want any of members to be unhappy, no matter how fictious their allegations may be, and no matter what their real reasons for wanting to leave may be. We therefore offered to refund that member with their remaining membership fee (presumably what was being sought all along), and that member went on their way. Even if that member now regrets their decision, and no matter how much the member and their mother embarrassed themselves throughout the process, you would hope that they would no longer feel the need to make unfounded allegations against a club of which they are no longer a member.”

Sadly, as I have come to expect, your response is deeply unprofessional and irrelevant.

Once again, Seasons have chosen to deflect and dismiss the complaint and attempt to create an impression of legal superiority without substance.

Your focus on a single, unrelated, anecdotal case and personal attacks on a previous member does nothing to address the specific issues that are raised in both my own and other reviews.

Instead of addressing our concerns, you have predictably resorted to dismissive language and have implied that negative reviews are a result of malicious intent. You continue to demonstrate a clear lack of understanding and accountability, and show a strong disregard for the experience of your members.

Your unprofessional responses only reinforce my concerns about the quality of your customer service and lack of transparency.

I sincerely hope that Seasons are able to improve their practices for the sake of the members that have placed significant financial trust in them.

* Understand the resale value of Seasons Holidays memberships. It may be difficult to recoup your investment.

* Explore alternative holiday options. Compare benefits and costs.

* Document everything: Keep records of all communications, contracts, and payments.

* Be aware that correspondence (including Trustpilot reviews) can be replied to in a highly unprofessional manner.

Negative returns

Seasons have so far honoured their holiday promises, however when I purchased a “Keys” I was assured that unless the property market fell I would get at least my nominal investment back. In reality I will be lucky to get half my money back. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had any money back. They are now asking for maintenance charges even though they promised there were none and the memorandum of understanding confirms this. I estimate my future capital loss at 50-100% and loss of compound interest at 5% to c100% less value of holidays.
Reading Jaqueline’s review above I have reread the documents supplied by Seasons and I think to their credit it is clear that no maintenance charges were ever intended to apply to the Keys and I think the sales reps must have been mistaken. Indeed the absence of maintenance charges and a good chance of at least getting your money back at the end were key selling points. Otherwise why would anyone sign up for deal which is no better than booking holidays in the normal way. It would help reassure me and others if Seasons could confirm that no maintenance charges apply and that Seaham Keys will get a good return on their investment reflecting the rise in property prices.

8 Keys Not An Investment As Promised

My wife and I are one of hundreds to invest in Seasons Holidays Keys. We were promised a good profit when our keys came to an end, this was a false promise.
Our holiday in Club Tahiti was ruined by Seasons management hounding us from morning through to their office closing. Try to enjoy our holiday with two young children was impossible. We felt the need to leave before they arrived every morning and not return till they left for the day. We didn't sign anything.
On our return to the UK we were invited to a meeting at Whitbarrow for an unbelievable offer! Oh how stupid we were to agree to this meeting. On arrival we were ushered upstairs to the lounge area where we were bombarded for over 3hrs with a "no brainer investment" "a fantastic way to top up your pension" and how stupid we were to believe the lies. Yes, they lied to us, this isn't an investment for 8 keys! It was nothing more than giving them our money for renamed fractional holidays. They can't sell this type of holiday as an investment. It was ruled against.
At the end of contract we were told that there would be no costs involved, either take our investment and the profit that went with it or swap for an extra 16yrs holidays free from maintenance fees. We and most other Keys investors have been told they can't use all seasons resorts as we have been demoted to "core" and not the Elite we signed for.
Now, I'm suspended for complaining.
The management are a law unto themselves and make up new rules on the hoof. Now we are many and will fight back. Fed up of being lied to and pushed aside.
If you are reading this and toying with investing then please please read the other negative posts, they are real, real people with real complaints.
We are asked to email seasons, they never ever answer only threaten. Don't try calling them, it's futile.
"Help will always be given to those who ask".

Best holidays in the UK!

My family and I have been using all of the seasons resorts for our holidays for years, with a great time guaranteed every time!
The accommodation has always been amazing but the new units are really something special, luxury and modern with plenty of space to enjoy, not to mention being in some of the most scenic places to visit.
The staff are always kind and friendly, happy to help out with anything we might need.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough, looking forward to our next stay already!

We love our holidays at Seasons!

We love our holidays at Seasons!
We mostly use Clowance, Bude and Laugharne as we live in Exeter.
All the lodges on our packages have been upgraded to a really high standard.
We love the consistency of their holidays rather than the 'pot luck' of Air B&B.
Seasons are not the cheapest but we feel we get fantastic value.

Been members for 20 years enjoyed all our holidays at all resorts UK and Europe, recently visited Dylan Coastal Resort again, haven't been here for a few years looks amazing, still quite a lot of old staff there which was nice to see, who are always very helpful, we have already rebooked again for next summer with the family.
