A warning to anyone thinking about buying anything from SCS in Uddingston. I ordered a suite on 29th November firstly because it was a good price, I really liked it but mainly because it was 14 day delivery. I paid cash.
Got a notification it was being delivered on 10th December. I had to take day off my work unpaid. Tracking on the date gave me delivery time off 12-12.30. This changed roughly 10 times and in the end failed to deliver. Got rescheduled for 15th December. Again no show. Rescheduled for 20th and again no show.
So please do not use this company.
Not one person has been helpful and do not even reply to emails.
DISGUSTING.

So following on from reply from SCS. The soon as I seen this reply I responded as per there request. Sadly still no reply on email.
So I currently go into Christmas sitting on a deck chair and no further forward with any resolution from this awful company!!!!

Terrible service never use again got the text to say the couch was arriving in November we cleared the room disposed of the old couch(because they don’t take the old one away) took time off work day of delivery text at 6 in morning to say on the way am STILL waiting on someone to say it wasn’t coming. Went to shop next day to find out what the figgy pudding was happening,sorry sir seems the warehouse mess up I guess as we can’t contact them either. Emailed customer service nothing. Now three weeks later(no couch) remember the item is delivered, but even then the guys delivering it were gonna give me two couches as they said they were both for me after 5-10 mins they checked the bill if laden to find it had a different address on it. The two guys themselves were courtesy,polite and hard working but after the previous “phantom “ delivery any small detail was noted. The review ask for the store the store was ok it’s the delivery that is terrible

After sales service is nothing short of abysmal. Purchased on 18th May, Delivery made in mid July and as of today 19th December still awaiting leather care kit which was purchased at time we bought suite. Despite many broken promises following multiple telephone calls I am no further forward or any closer to knowing when delivery will be fulfilled.

Sofa delivered today, chaps delivering took great care when bringing it into the house. Had it set up in no time.Took all the wrapping away with them no mess left behind, pleasant to deal with. Great customer service all round.

I have been trying to contact Scs uddingston for a few days now to see what is happening with my chair. The delivery men came to my property with a 3 piece suit and told me 1 chair was damaged but I’ve had no word on when it will return. The service from the delivery drivers was disgraceful. They tried to get me to climb into the back of the van to see the damage, 1 man then proceeded to drag my 3 seater sofa off the van and onto the road causing 1 of the feet to pop off. He then jammed it back on. They then took all the plastic off of the cushions, chair and sofa in the street in the rain. The cushions were soaked when they came in so they must have been sat on the dirty path. They then dragged the chair into my house scuffing the feet. My doors are narrow, instead of trying to work a way to get it through they forced it causing serious damage to my door frames. They then dragged the 3 seater sofa to my top step. Dragged the arm of the sofa along the ground causing the material to rip at the arm (the same thing is on the arm of the chair) they forced it though my door causing the bracket holding the door to the frame to burst so now I need to buy a new door. They damaged the door frame further. There is paint flakes all over the couch and chair, scuffed feet, a tear to the plastic underneath damage to my home I will now need to pay to replace. They didn’t leave the cleaning kit so I can try clean the paint flakes that are all over it and they haven’t given me any info on the chair that hasn’t been delivered. This is absolutely unacceptable. I paid a lot of money for this and they have caused serious damage to both items and my home. I cannot get through to anyone on any phone numbers that are online for Scs. Then I tired to email and it bounced back saying it is not in use.

Furniture delivered 3hrs after expected time. Muddy marks left on carpets from shoes. Guy delivering broke the leg from the armchair and just pretended he had repaired it, chair actually wobbled.

Sold a sofa care package that never arrived. Was told it would be sent out and has never arrived. Have emailed numerous times since June to different scs email addreses to be completely ignored. Absolute scam

We had a lovely experience buying a sofa. Sandra was very helpful and professional and helped us to choose the right sofa for our living room.

Lack of customer service and lied to throughout the process. We eventually received delivery on the 4th attempt, we have been promised compensation and not had any follow up. Given what we have been put through we never received any calls to ensure our delivery had been successful, or any calls to keep us in the loop. No one could give us answers. Poor management skills. Very disappointing, we were warned off using SCS and wish we had listened. They have a very good product and sales. However, on delivering very poor and when approaching with any concerns, no one seemed to care! They did their part to sell! They really need to sort out their distribution services! We lost 4 days of work so loss of wages/ holidays. We were informed we were not the only ones experiencing this! Shocking!

Jason was super friendly and helpful when helping us buy our sofa. He provided us with all the information and helped us with the measurements and sizing we needed. He was super friendly and really went the extra mile with our experience in store, couldn't thank him enough!

Kept up to date with delivery time , phone call 35 mins before delivery. Friendly team , quick to unpack and put the sofas together .

Jason was very informative and helped us decide on a sofa for a Christmas delivery to our new home. He was patient and gave us space to have a look around. When finalising the sale he was thorough and made sure we were happy. A credit to the ScS company

The staff were all so helpful and accommodating! Especially Jason who helped us tremendously to find us the right choice for us and the patience of a saint. Couldn’t recommend the store more

Ordered a sofa for my grans new flat. First delivery no show! 2nd delivery same! Third delivery got a call to say they couldn't deliver! All times we were in an empty flat waiting for delivery! Been to the store on more than 2 occasions- no one has helped! Called customer service and even spoke to management no one can help! Tried to get a refund still nothing! We will not stop until my gran has a full refund! DO NOT TRUST THEM! LOOK AT ALL REVIEWS ON FACEBOOK!

I was ment to get my sofa and 2 chairs today 17th of November everything was fine till I got the phone call at 9 15am to be told it’s not coming well my husband hit the roof you see I am disabled and I was sitting on the floor (we made the mistake of giving away our old sofas) now I am sitting on the floor, we went over to the shop but got nowhere, we have tried about every phone number they have still nothing they don’t know when I will get it I have been waiting since 25th of August and it’s paid for ,I can’t believe this has happened I am so upset and sore Why doSCS do this with people Please can you help After all that they delivered my sofa and chairs thanks to a fantastic woman I think her name was Sandra she practically bent over backwards to make shore we got it we can’t thank this woman enough SCS ARE GREAT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Unfortunately i have to retract my 5 star review previously made as receiving the sofas has been nothing but hassle i was charged for care kits and not received still not received. When trying to make a formal complaint all emails dont work the aftercare service has been well below standard. The sofa is good quality just be aware the hassle you will have cancelled deliveries waiting in try call back no answer from the centres.

Sofa was supposed to be delivered 3rd november , was told i would recieve an allocated time slot and can track the delivery drivers which i did throughout the day as i was at work and could then arrange for a family member to be at the property if the delivery was going to be earlier than expected . When i went on to track the drivers just before my delivery slot it said delivery failed ! Turns out the delivery team had arrived 1 hour earlier at the properyy and spent a total of 1 minute at the property , had no phone call or anything ! Phoned SCS to find out what was going on to be told deliveries are from 7am - 7pm ( so why allocate timeslots ??? ) . Deputy manager of Uddingston store then proceeded to tell me that the drivers dont carry phones on them .

November 12th - i finally recieved my order . Delivery guys were great , was kept updated on tracker and alsi recieved a phone call with a rpugh time they would be arriving ! They also had to take pictures of the property before and after delivery WITH PHONES.

Still a mystery as to why i was told the drivers arent allowed phones when theu clearly are !!

Spectacularly incompetent

We ordered our furniture in December 2024 - yes, almost 1 year ago now.

In February 2025, SCS delivered the wrong 2 seater. We contacted the company in what was the beginning of what now appears to be a never ending saga, advising them that the 2 seater was wrong - it should have been a 2 seater power recliner.

We heard nothing until we raised our complaint with the Ombudsman.

We were then assured by the Ombudsman that SCS had accepted their mistake and would rectify it. This included the “price promise” which meant that any reduction in the cost of the furniture post-December 2024 would be honoured and we would be refunded the difference, a guarantee which influenced our decision to order prior to the new year sales.

Since then, SCS has attempted to deliver a 3 seater power recliner another 3 times. I’ve had to reject it 3 times, I’ve had to take time off my work 3 different times and I’ve had to contact Customer Service and the store 3 times.

It STILL hasn’t been rectified.

1 year of fighting to get the product and service we were promised.

We’re still out of pocket; I’m 4 days down on work and earnings and I still have the wrong furniture despite assurances from the company and the Ombudsman that this would all be corrected.

After the last failed delivery, I asked for a full refund. The company didn’t even bother to contact me to discuss.

Today, I once again had to take time off work to send the wrong furniture back.

I have absolutely no confidence SCS will ever get the order right no confidence they will ever honour the refund we were promised in the price guarantee.

I will never order from SCS again. The stress; delays and financial loss is horrendous and the company does nothing to remedy their incompetence.

I’m now thinking of going to the media and small claims court to try and get someone / anyone to help us get this nonsense brought to an end.

It seems the Ombudsman can’t do anything further as the company has told them they will fix the errors - however the company doesn’t appear capable of actually fixing their mistakes either through sheer incompetence of just a total disdain for their customers.

I’d had enough of SCS and their appalling service about 5 months ago, now it’s just getting ridiculous.

Delivery only a little late. Men were very pleasant & helpful.

Sofa was meant to be delivered on the Thursday, but was cancelled 1 hour prior to the delivery time that was sent by SCS. The next available delivery was then scheduled for Thursday the following week, after calling up the best they could do was move this forward by 1 day to the Wednesday. Email was sent to the store but got no reply or Acknowledgment from them.

Delivery team that arrived on the day were very friendly and set everything up perfectly without any issues.
