During the pandemic it took me over a month to fix a minor issue. I could not get a hold of any one. I spent days on hold. A total of 25 hours.

Got a small break.
But they have another problem. Even though it is difficult I think moving my big account might be worth it. Who needs the endless hassles and losing money when you account is frozen.

Resolving a problem can take another up to 90 days.

Helpdesk agents do not care about their clients. In the process of transferring my account to CIBC Investor Edge. But the transfer process is taking a long time (going in on 3 weeks now). Called in to check on the transfer status, but was told by the agent (Ken) that I need to do that through CIBC. So I do not have the authority to check on my own account at Scotia iTrade anymore! When asked to speak to a supervisor, Ken informed me that there were none.

In comparison, similar transfer from Questrade and Wealthsimple took only about 1 week. What is more irritating was that I spoke to another agent the night before, who indicated that the transfer desk can provide an update if I called during the transfer desk hours. I did but still got the run-around. Very disappointed.

Trust Worthy, Good plan on Dividends when holding stocks. All around good Software and Secure.

Whoever designed this new app should be let go. A 6 year old could have done a better job. Please go back to the old format app. It worked so much better! You could see all your stocks on 1 page. Everything used to be right there in order and in front of you at the touch of a button. It was so much simpler than this useless mishmash of an app they have now. I think everyone can agree to let’s go back to the old one. Why change a good thing. As they say they say they don’t make things like they used to.

I made an online buy in my TFSA account and the adjusted cost base is Wrong.( 600$ off) I have emailed 9 times, been on hold cumulatively well over 4 hours the longest 58 minutes before i have had to hang up and go back to work. Complete garbage customer service. Cannot wait to move to the Royal Bank.

This is the worst broker that I have come across. 2 Hr wait to get some explanation why my order did not get filled but there doesn't seem to have any way to get through to get an answer.
Partial filling of open orders result in substantial losses and it seems its the deliberate banks strategy to hide mistakes they make due to untrained staff.

I hardly ever sign into my Scotia iTrade account, but recently I wanted to withdraw some money. A day or two later I was informed that the cheque pickup in the bank was not possible. So, I wanted the funds to be deposited directly to my bank account, but there was no way for me to enter the bank account info. Finally, I called the customer service number. So far, I've been waiting for about 45 minutes, listening to music and hearing the following message every 5 or so minutes: "Our agents are with other clients. Your call is important to us, an agent will be with you shortly". WHAT A JOKE!!! It seems that these days most online financial institutions have very poor customer service and the wait time can be very significant.

Scotia iTrade app is the worst piece of garbage I've ever downloaded on my phone. I have placed many orders on this app without an issue. But, twice I've placed a buy order in the app, instead buying my shares, it had sold my shares! So, now I'm down twice the shares I wanted to buy!? I called the customer service and explained the mistake, but customer service tried to blame me that it was my fault. Now, I want to ask has anyone else experienced this error. If so, I want to start a class action law suit against Scotia iTrade. Please indicate in your review if this has also happed to you. I will be monitoring this review page frequently. Thx

Very poor customer support. You email them and they don't resolve the issue, except for saying we received your email. You call them it takes hours, then you'll be told that everything will be fine, then few days later there's problem again in your account. Irresponsible and very unreliable customer support.
