Training at SCCD has equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to become a teacher. I am particularly grateful for the understanding shown by my lecturer, Paul Colgrave and other staff members, who supported as well as encouraged me to forge ahead to achieve my qualification, when I felt like giving up. SCCD Training,
I was NOT informed about the funding rejection, I found out about it a few days ago when I sent you an email to ask if reimbursement of the deposit is possible, I was still enrolled at the time.
Although it might have been a gesture of goodwill to allow me to continue the training at no extra cost, it was still not fair, you did not treat all of us the same.
Regarding my attendance, it was 100% when the course was delivered by Paul Colgrave and the units done with him signed off. My attendance has dropped when you changed the lecturer and that was mainly a combination of factors such as total chaos and disorganization, overall poor and unprofessional behaviour of the new lecturer, not answering any emails, submitting assignments but getting almost no feedback. The assignments for a whole unit (3) were submitted several times and even when the portofolio was submitted for formal assessment, I got it back stating WORK IN PROGRESS and of course, having to pay late fees, but NO MARKING AT ALL! So how do you expect me to start working on other units if I don't get any feedback on the previous one, so I know what I did wrong and what to change ?
So stop saying you encouraged submission of work, when in reality you got all of us extremely frustrated and stressed as we submitted work and you would not mark it and totally ignored any form of communication with us.

Very poor experience. They lie A LOT! This company is not to be trusted and certainly not worth so much money. They are unprofessional and extremely unreliable. They will say all sort of things such as providing free Functional Skills Maths and English (more than 3 times was contacted about it, they even confirmed the start date of the course etc, never happened, so why would you say it in the first place, aren't you worried about seeming so unreliable afterwards?!). I initially paid a deposit (half the price of the course), after 2 months they said I am eligible for funded training. After about 8 months, they changed their mind and said there was actually no funding and that's what they thought it will happen (how can you talk about funds being released and contracts and eligibility for funding etc just so you then breach your agreement AGAIN AND AGAIN). Obviously, they didn't reimburse the deposit, even if the training was free for all the others funded learners, so the fair thing to do is to treat all of us THE SAME). Stating that the course of the training has been borne by SCCD and that I was actually lucky to have paid only half makes no sense and doesn't apply to everyone! Learn to be FAIR AND TRANSPARENT!! It is not our fault that you LIED ABOUT TRAINING BEING FUNDED, to then change your mind! If the other learners didn't pay, and I was ELIGIBLE and part of that group of learners, then you should have reimburse me the money! But it's pointless to even think about you being truthful and fair when there are so many dodgy things going on there, that is the reason I haven't even insisted on this matter!
Other examples of lies, I was given a contract for some sort of internal placement, signed it, again nothing happened. I understand there might be reasons why things get cancelled but for this company that's the norm, that's how they operate, I would be ashamed to behave in such unprofessional way over and over again. THEY HAVE ZERO CREDIBILITY!
One last thing is that you also might be one of those students who get some sort of bullying from one of the lecturers, Shaaira Alexis who I think is very famous already for behaving innapropriately. She ignores A LOT of your emails, is RUDE and helps only a few people, probably personal preferance. I personally have got very very little marking from her in a matter of months, a lot of learners complain not getting any response after sending countless emails, calling, texting etc, no marking being done, only when she is in the mood probably, but that's not how a TEACHER and actually a HEAD OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING should behave. Many learners already know her history (search her name on Google and you will find out she is on the news for being RACIST). There are so many complaints you have received from past learners, YOU KNOW people created groups and they complained to PEARSON and were left traumatised by you! You do not deserve to be on the market because that's not how a teacher training should be, when you teach us about equality, diversity, inclusion but you do a lot of bullying and are acting so so unprofessional! You clearly learnt nothing from past mistakes, it's not all about money, academic achievements and social status, learn how to treat people with more respect first of all.

We sincerely regret that you hold this perspective. While we initially nominated you for funding from the Society for Education and Training, your funding application was ultimately declined. You are encouraged to confirm this directly with the Society.
We did, in fact, inform you of the funding rejection last year and pointed out that you had the ability to verify it yourself, as you had access to the relevant information. As a gesture of goodwill, despite the funding refusal, SCCD allowed you to continue your training at no additional cost. This arrangement has been in place since November of last year, spanning almost a full year, during which you did not incur any extra charges for your training.
You retain the liberty to verify this information with the Society for Education and Training to ascertain whether any funding was allocated on your behalf. Numerous emails were sent to you, encouraging the submission of coursework and addressing your lack of attendance.
We find it unjust and unfounded that such assertions are made when no harm or disrespect has been aimed at you. We would suggest reaching out to the Society for Education and Training to confirm whether your funding application was indeed processed and granted.
It is important to note that others, whose funding applications were similarly denied, remain enrolled in the training and are making commendable progress. No additional fees were imposed on them, as the circumstances were beyond their control.
It should be highlighted that your attendance at classes and the submission of assignments were not met, contributing to the complexities in your situation. We believe it is disingenuous to propagate defamatory narratives on social media without due consideration, especially when such narratives are accessible to a broad audience. Upholding a strong moral compass is essential for us all.

Hired before completing the course
I applied the knowledge acquired from this course to secure a job as a Tutor with a Local Authority. From the job application through to the interview stage, I demonstrated my understanding of the essential knowledge and skills needed for lesson planning, delivery and assessment. Interestingly, I am halfway through the course but have already secured a job. I am grateful to my tutors and support team, and would highly recommend the course for anyone contemplating going into teaching.

My lecturer was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and the lessons and knowledge she provided were very insightful. There were a few misunderstandings with the Placement Department but the new supervisor sorted it all out for me in the end.

If I could give zero stars I would. It is an AWFUL establishment. They pressure you to join and give you false promises and one it comes time to deliver on these promises you get nothing. There is very little support despite them claiming they are nothing but supportive. They are unorganised and are regularly behind schedule. You are promised placement yet they don’t find you a suitable placement and you end up basically working for them as a tutor for other cohorts. You might as well find your own placement. The lecturer is unprofessional and extremely rude and since starting this course mine and many others mental health has seriously declined.

A trusted institution
The institution is genuine and the lecturer is equipped with relevant knowledge, politeness, is helpful and dedicated. I am a successful certificate holder from this institution and ready to start my career. I recommend this institution to others. This diploma is a two way traffic. A learner needs to work in line with the lecturer and institution to get the desired outcomes. Besides, a learner needs to be consistent and determined throughout this journey. There are regular classes as per the timetable. Relevany guidance and support is also present. I always remained in touch with my lecturer and the institution through email as well. And all of the emails were responded.

SCCD is the number one
I chose SCCD to complete my Level 3 course as it was recommended by a friend. My experience with this company has been nothing but the best. The lessons were in depth both the online classes and the ones onsite. My lecturer Paulina is great in the way she brings across the lessons. They are explained to the simplest and whenever I was stuck she was always available to answer queries. I would definitely recommend SCCD to other people who are thinking of pursuing a career in teaching.

SCCD is a responsible institution
SCCD was an institution that I chose to improve myself and understand the requirements of supporting Teaching and Learning in my career journey, I would like to say that SCCD has been an institution that has met my expectations and made unique contributions to my educational journey.
Our esteemed lecturer Ms Szal's in-depth explanation of the modules has always helped me to absorb knowledge with her supportive and inclusive teaching, and she has helped me to gain awareness thanks to her feedback on my assessments, which was invaluable to me.
As an institution, SCCD always acted responsibly, answered all my questions, made necessary explanations, and even resolved my concerns and patiently supported me in the goal I needed to reach.
All of the SCCD staff have always shown kindness, valued my work, and showed a positive attitude toward me.
As a teaching assistant, I am ready for my journey and equipped with knowledge. Today I will receive my Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning Certificate from the SCCD. The company is a Scam
The company is a Scam, they take your money, give you a few online lessons then, they disappear. Nobody in the company answers emails or calls, only the receptionist and sales team who know nothing. They give you lots of excuses for not answering. Don't waste your time and money. I will be taking this further to make sure you close down for business and stop scamming people.

From your file I can see that there was fluent communication between you and our placement coordinator up until the October 2021 where in your last email you requested to put your placement on hold because you had to leave the country to have surgery. Your request was of course accommodated and we put everything on hold for your convenience. We have not heard back from you until today. so to receive such a review from you is unfair. Please contact our reception office, placement department, or even your lecturer.
