We recently moved from San Diego to Huntington Beach and had a very positive experience with both iMoving and Rushmore Van Lines.

The brokers with iMoving were extremely helpful throughout the process, making everything feel organized and much less stressful. The moving crew from Rushmore Van Lines consisted of four hardworking young men led by Maxim, who was an excellent communicator from start to finish. All of the movers were polite, professional, and respectful.

They tackled a very big job with impressive speed and efficiency. Not once did we hear complaints, and we never saw any of them standing around or taking unnecessary breaks. Their work ethic truly stood out.

We’ve been unpacking everything ourselves, and so far nothing has been broken or damaged, which says a lot about the care they took with our belongings.

We would highly recommend both iMoving and Rushmore Van Lines to anyone planning a move.

Rushmore Van Lines Inc. (US DOT #: 4086767) is an extremely bad company in the United States and the brokerage company, Safe Ship Moving Services (US DOT: 3475743), that assigned this company to my cross country move job is just as bad. Neither one of these companies should be allowed to move anything and that includes “roadkill.” Safe Ship Moving Service quote process is all scripted with a low amount to get your business and they will do and say anything to keep you until the cancellation period ends after they have a deposit. They did not disclose up front that they were a broke and they evidently did not vet the companies that they assign you to because my move was a total chaotic and stressful nightmare. I experienced numerous deceptions.

1) Low quote on your full inventory list to get your business with the intent to increase later.
2) Quality Assurance review of your full inventory lists a day or 2 before the move day to increase the price on a measure of cubic feet without coming out to measure the inventory.
3) Insurance is strongly discouraged or not mentioned at all during the contract setup process.
4) Pickup Movers are on time and will prepare your belonging with care; but the document is handwritten with terrible penmanship which increase the amount of time it takes to complete the packing and loading process.
5) Do not want to take a credit card on the move day even though you were told repeatedly by the broker company that they accept all major credit cards.
6) Unclear delivery date.
7) Customer service only adds to the nightmare. Whereas, you might get one customer service representative that is slightly helpful and concerned about your missing and damaged possessions most will be complicit in the company’s disgraceful moving practices.
8) Delivery drivers will request that you meet them at a Walmart to pick up your belonging.
9) Delivery drivers will call you to complain that they cannot navigate a trailer on your street and then want to add an addition fee to delivery your items to the contacted location.
10) Missing, broken and damaged items when you finally get the delivery.
11) Delivery drivers will not sign the Delivery BOL Documentation unless you force then to by withholding payment.

In my final analysis Ship Moving Services and Rushmore Van Lines Inc. companies are outrageously untrustworthy. So, please do not trust them with your money nor possessions. If you choose to do business with Safe Ship Moving Services and Rushmore Van Lines Inc., there are too many unscrupulous scenarios to name; so, here are a few.
• Defrauded out of your money with scripted con jobs quotes.
• Unexplained thousands of dollars in Tariff Fee and Tariff Fee Discount for a move within the USA.
• A significantly higher “Final Cost” with hidden fees.
• Most unorganized and unreliable moving services after the initial pickup.
• Unprofessional documentation process for customer contracts and payments during and after the initial pickup.
• Damaged and Lost Items.
• Drivers who claim that they cannot drive well enough to deliver your belonging to your contracted location and then want to charge you for their ineptitude.
• Rude drivers who do not speak the English language well.
• Promotion of nonexistent storage facility for long term storage.
• Counterfeit Customer Service Support from both companies.
• Most complicated insurance claims process without any helpful information to complete the form. No one will response to emails or phone calls on how to complete the insurance claims forms.
• Unsigned Pickup and Delivery Documentation and unable to get a copy of the Bill of Lading Documentation on the day of pickup and delivery.
• Grossly insufficient default insurance claims settlement for damaged and lost items.
• Major increased in stress levels.
