My Mum and I had an amazing spa experience with Jess and Holly. We had back massage, scalp massage and facial all of them were the best we have ever had. All the staff in the spa were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us!!! Definitely coming back!! X

What has happened to the restaurant at Roslin Beach restaurant? It used to be 10/10 for food. Yesterday our prawn cocktail was underwhelming, skate and shrimps were dry and and overcooked with crust, and both who had the Eton Mess left it. The cream was over whipped with dried apricots and a meringue bee hive on top. NOT an Eton mess. Even the waitress said she would not order it. Sorry but our favorite restaurant in the whole of Essex has gone downhill and we will not be back. Nice place and lovely staff give it 3 stars. 2 stars for the meals for four.

I have been staying at this gem of a hotel for the past 10yrs. The customer service has on every occasion (2 nights 2/3 visits a year) been excellent. Karen and the reception staff cannot do enough to make your stay as welcoming as possible. The hotel offers a wonderful relaxing stay. Rooms are decorated to a high standard and have very comfortable beds. The communal areas give a Mediterranean vibe bright and airy. For comfort, relaxing, good food and attentive staff this hotel is a must.

From the first moment we walked in right up until checking out 2 days later we received outstanding and first class service. This hotel is absolutely amazing, from its ambience to its cleanliness you couldn't fault it.
We were greeted by Jacqui (the Managing Director) and throughout our stay she was extremely helpful and attentive, along with every member of staff nothing was too much.
Our suite was beautifully decorated and spotless. Indeed, the entire hotel from its beautifully decorated breakfast room to the gorgeous dining room was a pleasure to walk through.
We booked several spa treatments during our stay and the experience was delightful with professional and courteous staff.
The food, well what can I say other than it's absolutely fantastic. The quality of the food, the portion size and the presentation of every meal was faultless. Never have I enjoyed such delicious meals without a single complaint. Just the food alone was worth the visit but when you combine everything together you get an equivalent of a wonderful Michelin star experience. I absolutely unequivocally and highly recommend this hotel and I'll definitely be visiting again.

Fabulous afternoon the hotel celebrating my friends 80th birthday. Absolutely fantastic food, service and super surroundings. Afternoon tea with champagne was just perfect and the staff were very attentive. Can’t rate everything so highly. Thank you.

Frequently come here and always extremely impressed!
We have stayed for breaks away, rooms are extremely elegant, huge and lovely comfy bed and sofa with lovely sea view room with waters edge very close. We have also had quality treatments in the SPA. Swedish massage is a must

Staying with friends and just had beautiful treatments in the spa. Holly, Justine and Rachel were absolutely fabulous . Very professional , listened to what we wanted and like. Highly recommend these ladies should you wish to have a back massage or facial .

We booked the hotel from Epson as we were in Southend for the weekend attending a party and a function and the whole experience was wonderful. Excellent service from start to finish and great food and ambiance. We will book again in December for a short pre Christmas break . Highly recommend .

Had a great weekend here, location is super central, Hotel is big, bright super clean and filled with character. Friendly efficient staff. Great stay!

I have been meaning to write this review for weeks.

I want to thank all the amazing staff at the Roslin that made our day perfect. If you are looking for a wedding venue, this is the perfect place for you. The level of care and thoughtfulness from the events team was flawless. We originally were going to go with the smaller wedding venue room, then the guests kept growing until we ended up in the large ballroom. OMG thank god we did, it was exceptional, the sun was shining and tide was in and our photos look spectacular with the backdrop. We paid supplements for the starter and main, I would seriously urge you to go with the beef wellington (obv for meat eaters) all my guests loved this and well worth the money, we had some seriously fussy eaters and this pleased everyone. The staff are great with anyone displaying an allergy, i can vouch for this, i ordered a seafood starter for all guests and I am allergic to shellfish, I had no reaction and I can say the kitchen handle with no cross contamination, its seriously professional. I have to mention the following staff Amy Brown, Charlotte McKeown and Evan Stobart - thank you so much for everything you all did to make our day special, it wouldn't have been the great success without you. thank you for always taking the time for us, answering so many questions, coming up with good solutions to any problems we faced. Thank you so much again.

My stay at the hotel was really awesome. The rooms were neat and clean, the washroom was also clean. The breakfast was also included and the taste was awesome.

Had an afternoon tea here, it was lovely, beautiful view, surrounding./s, elegent laid tables, beautiful china, friendly war and efficient service.
The food was fabulous, selection of beautifully flavoured sandwiches, scones and delicate mini deserts all washed down with prosecco and english breakfast tea.

The room was lovely with views of the sea . The food was excellent. All the staff are smiling and happy to help . You relax from the minute you walk through the door . The bar makes the best cocktails while you can sit and people watch . The only problem is you just don’t want to go home . Can’t recommend this place enough.

Our favourite place to celebrate...we have enjoyed many events here from special birthdays, anniversaries & most recently our friends wedding. Service is always amazing, staff are so welcoming. The food is AMAZING...my only wish is they had more vegetarian options as it can be quite limited. We have also stayed over on many occasions & it never disappoints, the rooms & everything about this hotel is fab.

I came for a lovely lunch on tue and was served by isabelle who was extremely polite and helpful and had a smile on her face all day. Food was delicious and the cocktails was amazing as always

Really great service (Miheala) and great food.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch for my birthday. The food was good, the cocktails delicious and the service was excellent. We were found a table indoors for our coffee as we were very hot on the verandah. The delightful waitress saw that it was my birthday and brought, on her own initiative, a little cake on a decorated plate. This was so pleasing. We love coming here.
