This was my first time checking out with Romans, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Swati Daryanani from Romans Burnham was extremely helpful, supportive and professional throughout the entire process.

I wanted to leave earlier than my original checkout date, and Swati went above and beyond to organise the new viewings and make the whole process as seamless and stress free as possible.

Hello, I've recently been given a notice of vacating my current location as my landlord sold his house. Within about a week I found a new house (house share) in Woodley. I arranged a viewing on the same day through Ben Cottrell from Romans, paid the holding deposit the next day and now moving in at the end of the month. I just wanted to thank Ben for his customer service and making this as stress free as possible. Although I still have to move so hope I haven't spoken to soon. Anyway, Romans is lucky to have Ben as part of their team.

We had a great experience with Romans Crowthorne branch. Bethany was very cheerful and professional on all of our viewings and with excellent follow up during the purchase of our new property. I rented with Romans once and never will again.

They were nice and helpful to get me moved in then when I moved out tried to scam me out of my deposit with made up cleaning fees.

They were rude when corresponding with me, and when I asked for the images from my flat to be sent so I could check the metadata on the images to make sure they were actually photographed after my tenancy I was ignored. Speaks for itself really.

I agreed to pay half of the fees and asked for a copy of the full receipt. All I was sent was a hand written note with my half of the fee, no evidence of the full fee being paid by them. Liars!

Holly has been very accommodating throughout our property search, although we did not manage to let a property through Romans I really liked how pro-active she was in keeping in touch while we searched and updating us on any new properties!

Just want to say a big thank you to Holly from romans. Very helpful went above and beyond. Would recommend

Vasco called round last week and explained the selling process to us in detail, answering any questions we had.
He was round again this week to take photos of my house, had them on Romans website by the afternoon, and he contacted me to say we had our first viewing this Friday! An excellent service.

We cleaned the house and left everything perfect and they charged us 200 to clean the house.

I enquired about a few properties for rent through Rightmove, and they were prompt at giving me a call. Unfortunately, I missed the initial phone call so I gave them a call back within 5 minutes. The first person I talked to was disrespectful and unwilling to help. The call quality sounded like I was on speaker (and I heard laughter in the background which coincided with my responses). A few mintues after the call ended, I decided to try again, hoping the first time was a misunderstanding, but I recived similar treatment again from another agent who took a mocking tone and then abruptly ended the call.

I have been with Romans for 28 years and they manage my Bath property. I live in Australia and rarely get the chance to visit them in person. I have always found that I they have managed my property with the minimum of fuss and dealing via e-mail has been seemless and overcome distance and time differences with no effort.
My current property manager is Hayley McPhail who is very responsive.

Visited the Roman staines branch 1st July 2026 around 1pm (please note: staff member at the till, South Asian, slim build) and was disappointed by the service. I asked her whether a trouser style from the website was in stock, showing her a photo. She didn't look at the photo, gave a quick "no," and when I asked where I might find it, she kept looking at her screen without engaging further. I had to suggest "online?" myself, to which she gave a vague "maybe" without making eye contact.
As someone from a similar background myself, this made the lack of basic courtesy feel even more disappointing, I'd expect better regardless of who's behind the till, but especially wasn't expecting to feel brushed off this way.

I'd expect more attentiveness and willingness to help with a simple stock query.

If I could leave 0 stars I would . The continous lies from this agency is appalling. They are money hungry and VERY unprofessional. Rude attitude from Zara continously from the start to the end of my tenancy . I couldn’t ever have a conversation over the phone or in person without her disgusting attitude. They’ll promise you a property and give it to someone else and when you check out they will take the stupidest photos of dust ,to ask you to pay MORE money as it’s not “clean enough”. Save yourself the hassle and don’t even bother with them .

Zara I suggest you learn how to talk nicely with your clients and not shout or give attitude .

I am being looked after by Anne-Marie Osbourne who is unfailing polite and communicative.
I am disappointed that some work that needs to be done was not done before the current tenants moved in. Also the recent problem which was known to be the cooker hood was dealt with someone who could not recommend a model with a warranty of more than one year.
I don’t be live these are Anne-Marie’s fault but the organisation in grneral

The team at Romans Tilehurst were very helpful during in my recent move to my new rented property. Nathan, Charlotte and Lorraine from move management were especially helpful in making the move as smooth as possible.

I had an excellent experience renting my property from the initial viewing right through to moving in. Holly was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful at every stage, always keeping me informed and making everything as straightforward and stress-free as possible. Even after I had moved in, Holly continued to provide support and was quick to help with any questions I had.
