Rishikesh Yog Peeth school is the best ever place where you can learn about Yoga about Yourself and about how to share the knowledge of Yoga with others ! I was a beginner in yoga but now after the 200 hour ttc program.I can see standing somewhere in the path of yoga...

Large Disappointment! I was so excited for my experience at Rishikesh Yog Peeth but it ended up being absolutely terrible. I am not sure how the other folks rated such a great experience. My opinion was shared with several other fellow students out of the 50 there were. The ashram, Krishna Cottage, was absolutely disgusting. It was unclean with mold climbing up the walls and bugs hopping in the bed (not kidding!). The staff didn't clean the facility with anything but a broom. No soap or disinfectant to kill germs or bacteria.
The classes themselves were also disappointing. On the second day of class one of the asana teachers had us doing very advanced poses without showing us how to progress to those poses. This is very dangerous and could promote serious injury. We were there to learn how to teach and therefore should have been taught methods to get into these poses gradually.
Also, I found the second yoga teacher who was also the anatomy teacher a bit discouraging to students. Deepti was very abrasive when asked questions and made you feel stupid and out of line for asking questions. This is not the way to run a business or to promote a comfortable learning experience. I would not recommend anyone take this teacher training or yoga retreat.

I waited 2 years to post this. I've waited for time to pass so I could share authentic long term effects. My time at Yog Peeth was life-changing. I have been exponentially calmer, happier, and more connected. The teachers are plugged in to the source and communicate the love of life with all students. My asana, pranayama, and meditation took off at Yog Peeth and have been a daily ritual ever since. I remain more fluent with my breath, flexible with my body, and observant of my mind. Attend Yog Peeth and you're life will forever be touched.

I completed my 200hr Yoga Alliance teaching certificate at Rishikesh Yog Peeth back in December/Jan 2014/15, and it was a life changing experience. From the moment I arrived - about 3am on the 5th December - I knew I had made the right choice. I'll never forget that first 3am walk over a windswept Ramjhula bridge, the moonlit wide Ganges river rushing by below. It will always stay with me, those 6 magical weeks - 60 people from all over the world living and studying together in such a beautiful and fascinating setting as Rishikesh - what more could you ask for? I think about it all the time as a yoga teacher and in my day to day life. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere positive and authentic, the teaching is fantastic, and the food and accommodation are excellent. The more I teach, and learn about yoga practice, the more I realise how much they got right at Rishikesh Yog Peeth. I plan to head back there for my 500hr certificate if I can! I did the 300 hour TT summer 2016. The program was everything I could have wanted from a teacher training. The teachers in a program like this are everything, and Krishnaji's dedication and love for his students gave us the most valuable learning environment. If he is teaching the program, sign up now!

I attended the 200 hour yoga teacher training at Rishikesh Yog Peeth and it was a fantastic experience. The instructors were phenomenal and the courses we learned ranged from asanas to pranayama to yogic philosophy and anatomy. The days were busy but well planned. I really enjoyed the food and was very comfortable in the accommodation. As well, the support I received before and after the course (everything from booking cabs to/ from Rishikesh to verifying my course details with Yoga Alliance so I could register) was excellent: warm and efficient! I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to do their teacher training. I plan on going back next year to do my 300 hour level certification. I went to Rishikeah Yog Peeth to attend a 300 Hour Teacher Training Course after spending some 10 years teaching yoga. I had previously attended teacher training programs in America and India and this was as fine a teacher training program as you could ever desire. The staff was exceptional, from the master yoga teachers to the support staff. The lectures were brilliant! I highly recommend attending courses with Rishikesh Yog Peeth.

This was one the most enriching experiences of my life...and I don't exaggerate. The teachers were great, the service, the staff, the transport (they took me in a taxi from the airport all the way out to Rishikesh when my flight arrived late) and I found the education to be very holistic and very applicable. The food was worth the trip in and of itself. I felt like I really got a taste of India, Yoga and all kinds of new insights into myself and life. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Thank you sooooooooo much!

I took my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training through Yog Peeth. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend this Teacher Training program to anyone. I felt that the curriculum was put together well and had a good amount of structure/free time. I felt the Master Instructors were very knowledgeable and everyone had brought something different to the table to offer to the students. If I had a question or concern about anything I would say that everyone that I encountered was available to help at all times. They would go above and beyond to make you feel at ease/comfortable. The experience I had personally I really can not put into words, however, will say that it has made such a significant impact/shift within me internally, in so many positive ways. I am glowing from the inside out and it just keeps getting better! You will just have to go and experience the beauty and blessings of India and the Yog Peeth teacher training program yourself to see what is in store in your next phase of your journey!! Blessings.

I have completed the TTC 200 hours and It was a great experience. The organization was incredible and the quality and the professionalism of Teachers was excellent. I learned a lot and I will recommend at all people that want to became a good Teacher. There I found inspiring people, genuine and with a good and open heart. I was so lucky to have the possibility to became part of Rishikesh family.

I did my 300hr yoga teacher training with Rishikesh Yog Peeth and it was an unforgettable time and experience for me in India. Learning from my teachers and fellow disciples was so full filling. Roshan and Krishna are yoga masters and i always remember their teachings and themselves with love and respect. I will definetely visit my school and teachers again in the future. While contemplating where to complete your Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), all you can do is trust. You trust the reviews, you trust the people at the school with whom you communicate, and you trust that travelling the distance to India will be worth the time and money invested. I recently earned my 200-hour certification from Rishikesh Yog Peeth, and I can honestly, absolutely, and without hesitation say that it was worth every penny. The program cost about half the price of most YTT courses in the U.S. Yes, you pay the difference in travel and visa expenses, but that additional cost gives you a cultural adventure that cannot be replicated in the U.S., or your respective country. The teachers are all Indian, and were raised with the philosophies that they teach at the school. They are firmly rooted and passionate in their convictions that yoga is not about "asana" but a way of being, a way of melding the body, mind, and soul. My body felt soothed every time I left an asana class with master teachers Narendra, Deepa, or Jeet. My mind was nourished with the philosophy and anatomy teachings of Roshan, the director. Everything fused together perfectly at the end of the six weeks. The staff are friendly and helpful, attending to your every need with care. The accommodations are private enough to be alone if you wish, but public enough to form a community bond with your fellow students. Again, I would not hesitate to repeat this experience, and I'm already considering returning for their 300-hour course. Namaste to everyone at RYP!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came to do the teacher training course - I was worried that everyone would be "better" at yoga than me, know more about philosophy or that there would be a lot of work on the course but once we started all my worries fell away. The structure of the 6 week course gives you a bit more time to digest all of the information, but as with many things, it's entirely up to you how much you do. As Roshan our teacher told us, we were only getting the headings but the teaching style is very approachable and all the concepts are introduced in a way that relates to the life of the average person - very different from the yogic philosophy explanations that leave you wondering what is going on! All in all, most people get what they want to out of the course and I wouldn't (and don't!) hesitate to recommend it. I loved my stay at RYP - everyone who works here has an amazing heart and is always there and happy to help. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the food is pretty good and the location is second to none for me. It's a quiet enough area that you're not in the midst of traveller traffic while a the same time close enough to a couple of other places to eat and also to the river. I'll definitely be returning!

If you are looking to take the 200 hour yoga teacher training course then you would be better equipped to understand yoga if you join the six week yoga course at Rishikesh Yog Peeth. Anyone who wants to develop their yoga teaching as well as develop themselves into better individuals should take up the course as the “experience taught me to better understand yoga and also to better understand myself and for this alone I love Rishikesh Yog Peeth! “
