Further to my review of 10th March

Further to my review of 10th March, we did indeed go back and purchased an ex demo Renault. Once again, Aaron was superb and worked hard to get the right deal for us. Car was duly prepared and we drove away a few days later. Friendly dealership from the moment you step through the door.

Unforgettable experience

My wife and I booked a test drive for peugeot 5008 with Richard Sanders peugeot kettering under the motability scheme. Jeremy Sharpe was,patient friendly and helpful. Its obvious he's been doing this for ages. Plenty of experience. No hard selling. After the test drive, We put in an order for the car to be delivered in December 2023.

Unfortunately, 3 months down the line, our financial circumstances changed which means we would struggle to raise the advance payment . I spoke to Jeremy and explained our predicament . He was very sympathetic and agreed to cancel the order. He even paid us back our initial deposit in full. Which was a nice touch.

Every car dealership. should have a Jeremy Sharpe. Thanks

Definitely not your average used car salesman!

Visited the dealership on 4.7.23 and shortlisted 3 cars I wanted to drive. I was allocated to young salesman Aaron to show me the cars and take me out on test drives. He was really knowledgeable and made the stressful decisions really easy. He put me totally at ease and understood completely what I wanted from my new car. He made the whole experience joyous and entertaining, helping me pick the car of my dreams. The test drives were such fun and he dealt with all my paperwork with great professionalism. Can’t wait to go back and pick up my new car next week. If Carlsberg made the perfect used car salesman, Aaron would be him (or maybe it should be pink fizz!) xx

I had bought used Nissan Xtrail 2 years…

I had bought used Nissan Xtrail 2 years ago from Richard Sanders Kettering meant for used cars.

It had one year warranty and 2 years free service.
Since I am not living in Kettering I had to get the services done from Nissan authorised service centre in my home town as suggested by the Richard Sanders.

I have been following all the MOT advisories, getting necessary work done and getting services done promptly from the authorised service centre.

The AC of the vehicle has always be temperamental, despite the fact that Nissan is quite good for its cooling.
In April 2023, the vehicle got hot with smoke coming out of its engine. I had to utilise the recovery vehicle and the Nissan authorised service centre in my home town did some wiring repair to the loom.
Lately the vehicle is getting hot again and numerous other problems keep occurring.

I don't drive the car much for long distances and I have been very meticulous with servicing and following the MOT advisories. It has been just 2 years since I bought the car and I have driven less than 20,000 miles since I bought the car. We had bought the car primarily because it had run only around 35,000 miles when we purchased.

When I called to the Richard Sanders service team to discuss what has been going on , I didn't get a favourable response. I was advised to contact the service centre in my home town.
I do have another used car, Toyota Yaris,which I bought from another dealer and I have been using for more than 6 years with no issues at all.

The moral of the story is it is always best to buy a vehicle from a dealer near the place where you live and that too specifically when purchasing a used vehicle, or else be prepared to spend more.

Left messages with colleague
No reply after 2 weeks
A complete and utter waste of time dealing with these arrogant and weak people
Frightened to be honest is there policy and only interested in taking money but not able to have the decency of a human being to sort out a simple issue
Don’t waste you’re time and effort with these people that call themselves caring

A faultless and delightful experience

We needed a car that 3 teenagers and two adults could sit comfortably in. Reviews appeared that the Dacia Jogger would fit our needs. From the moment I first contacted Saffy at Richard Sanders in Northampton to the moment we drove away in the car, the whole process was a delight. Saffy kept us informed and up to date from the moment I placed the deposit to picking up the keys. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and I got the feeling (and this may be because it's a family run firm) that they wanted a customer who would return and not just a sale. Many thanks to everyone at Richard Sanders.

Don’t buy minis here

We bought a mini 2018 plate , they serviced it but they can’t put it onto mini coz they don’t have a license supposed to be a main dealership they can’t afford a license, next service be impossible to get last service put on car, they should tell you before you buy/not on front of other minis for sale , why not service at garage that does have license and start looking after your customers p.s. manager couldn’t of cared less didn’t even come out of office just left it to new guy . Very poor leadership no wonder new people don’t know detail .

First class service

Just bought a used car from Richard Sanders Peugeot, the whole experience from initial enquiry through test drive negotiating a deal, was without doubt the best in 50yrs of buying a veh.
Kierran the sales rep was friendly, informative, and none pushy, he went out of his way to answer all of our questions in an honest and unbiased manner.
The veh was prepared to a high standard and everything that was promised during the negotiations was done. All the necessary paperwork was dealt with .
It is so refreshing to deal with a company that puts its customers at the forefront, Unlike some of the nominated dealers who's only priority is to take as much money from you as they can.
On this experience I would not hesitate in recommending
Richard Sanders.

Scammers and most unprofessional!!!

This is going to be the worse car dealer anyone could possibly go for. It's a fraudulent and most unprofessional dealership disguised in a big brand and sits in big building! I bought a Hyundai Ioniq 2018 from them in April and paid £300 for a coating over the asking price which was 16.9k and delivery on top. The car was delivered with front bumper damaged and filthy marks inside out, which was then sent back to get repaired and it was delivered again a few days later. The car has not given me anything but grief since day one!

Car was serviced with wrong mileage on service book with 5k over the actual mileage on the clock, tells you a lot about their business and checking standards! From the moment I started driving the car, it kept making terrible noise at the rear of the vehicle and braking system was super noisy too. Spent days chasing their so called manager 'Frank' who didn't had a clue about what a good customer service practice is and infact kept trying to call it a coincidence. He didn't even had a clue that in UK as per consumer act, you can return a car within 30 period if found faulty. It took me an email via Motor ombudsman to make him realise that they are supposed to sell a car in good state. Spent days going to different RAC warranty centres, turns out the car had after market cheap discs and pads fitted which were making terrible noise and the tyres were uneven which was causing noise in the suspension. After I threatned them to return the car, they paid £70 each for two new tyres. I thought this would be end of it, but that's not the case as the car is parked in Hyundai garage while I'm typing this message and is in pieces as there seems to be an another issue with the hybrid unit. I am hoping it will be covered by the warranty, but the sheer inconvenience and bad service I have received after spending over 17k for a car from a garage 2 hours away from me thinking it's a good reputed garage is atrocious. I would never recommend this garage to anyone ever and I really hope people sitting at the top of the company read this feedback and take some action. Don't believe their fake tests they claim to have done on their vehicles!!! Please stay well clear off these people and buy it from the original dealer. I have made the mistake, but I'll post my feedback on all platforms to reach out to other buyers.

Efficient service with a caring family feel

Having not had a good service from a national car dealership, I've liaised with the service desk here with regards to warranty work.

James has gone out of his way to action everything in his control and to keep me fully informed of things that out of his control, due to current supply and delivery issues. He has been consistently efficient, thorough, friendly and genuine, building up a real trust for me to keep my business with Richard Sanders for many years. All my queries have received same day responses (or next day if made late in the business) day, exceeding expectations. My face to face experience with service desk colleagues (Nathan) has equalled the telephone and email communications.

They are making a potentially stressful time much easier and deserve all credit.
